1 Keiman Pakai kakouvin; henge, kasaptho jengin ahi. Oh, Pathen in eingaipeh tei inte!
My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, and for him to listen to me.
2 Keiman hahsatna kato teng Pakai chu kaholjin ahi. Jankhovah in vanlang sangin kakhut katungin kataojin ahi. Ahinla kalhagao in olna amujoupoi.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.
3 Keiman Pathen kagelin apanpina ngaichatnan eilonvuh-in kamaojin ahi.
I remember God, and I groan. I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
4 Nangman jankhovah in nei imutsahpon ahi, ajeh chu keima kalung ahesoh behsehin kataotheipoi!
You hold my eyelids open. I am so troubled that I can’t speak.
5 Keiman phat sottah chetasa hinkholui nopsahna chengchu kageldohjin,
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
6 kipana dimsetna vahchoina la ana kisahna janhochu kalhagao lungthim a kakholchil tengleh tuhin masangtoh akibah louna kageldohjin ahi.
I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:
7 Pakai hin aitih a dia eipaidoh mong hitantem? Amahin khotona eimulou mong mong ding hitam?
“Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he be favorable no more?
8 Angailutna longlouchu chemang mong monga hitam? Akitepna hochu lolhing lou mong ding hitam?
Has his cheshed ·loving-kindness· vanished forever? Does his promise fail for generations?
9 Pathen in eihepina chu asuhmil mong hitam? Eihepina kotchu akha mong mong hitam?
Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he, in anger, withheld his racham ·compassionate love·?” (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
10 Hitihin keiman kaseijin, “hichehi kachanding mongchu ahi, chungnungpen’in ei engbol ahi,” kati.
Then I thought, “I will appeal to this: the years of the right hand of haElyon [the Most High].”
11 Ahinla O Pakai nanatoh hohi kahin geldohin, tuma peh-a nanatoh kidangtah hochu kageldohin ahi.
I will remember Yah’s deeds; for I will remember your wonders of old.
12 Hicheho chu kalung sunga amil theipon ahi. Nanatoh loupitah hochu gellouvin kaumthei jipon ahi.
I will also meditate on all your work, and consider your doings.
13 O Pathen nalampi hi atheng e. Nangma tobang Patheng dang um mong nantem?
Your way, God, is in the sanctuary. What deity is great like God?
14 Nanghi datmo kidangtah Pathen chu nahi ahi! Nangin chidang namdangte lah-a natheina gimneitah chu nakilandohsah ahitai.
You are the God who does wonders. You have made your strength known among the peoples.
15 Naban thahatna'a nami Jacob leh Joseph chilhahte chu nahuhdoh ahitai.
You have redeemed your people with your arm, the sons of Jacob [Supplanter] and Joseph [May he add]. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
16 O Pakai twikhanglensan chun namuphat in twichun nahinven akithingtan ahi! Twikhanglen chu anoi khongeiyin akithingin ahi.
The waters saw you, God. The waters saw you, and they writhed. The depths also convulsed.
17 Meilhang in go ahin juhlhahsah in, van gin kithong chun vanthamjol chu agin akithonsah in ahi. Nakolphe thalchang chun ahin salvah in ahi.
The clouds poured out water. The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around.
18 Chimpei lah-a koncun van gin ahung kithongin kolphe chun vannoi leiset ahin salvah in ahi! Leiset chu akithingin akihot-e.
The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind. The lightnings lit up the world. The earth trembled and shook.
19 Nalampi chu twikhanglen’ah akilhunglutnin ahi, Nakeng nung twi lah ajong akigollut e, ahinlah nakhonung koimachan amudoh joupoi!
Your way was through the sea; your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known.
20 Nangin kelngoi chingpa hina in Mose le Aaron mangcha in namite hi kelngoi honbangin napuilen ahi.
You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer].
