1 O Pathen, na mi khotonan neipui jing’in, ajeh chu mipite’n eidel jing’uvin eidouhon nilhumkei kei’in eidelkhum jing’un ahi.
“To the chief musician upon Jonath-elem-rechokim, by David, a Michtham, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.” Be gracious unto me, O God; for man longeth to swallow me up; all the time he oppresseth me fighting.
2 Eihousehon jong phattin in eidel jing’un chuleh mitamtah’in eidelkhum jing’un ahi.
Those that regard me with envy long to swallow [me] up all the time; for many are they that fight against me, O thou Most High.
3 Ahinlah ka kichat teng nangma tahsanna a chun ka lut ji tan ahi.
The day [when] I am afraid, I will still trust in thee.
4 Aman kahenga kitepna aneij jeh’in Pakai chu ka thangvah e. Pathen tahsana a ka dindet jingle kei ipi ding’a ka kichat ding ham? Mihem mai mai in i eilo thei ding ham?
In God will I praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid: what can flesh do unto me?
5 Amahon ka thusei jouse ahilou lam in alao vin; kei suhsetna ding’in anikho ho’u jong amang jing ui.
All the day they wrest my words: against me are all their thoughts for evil.
6 Amaho ahung’un eihung velhi’uvin, keima eithatheina diuvin ka chaloh ka sinsah avelhi jing’un ahi.
They come together in troops, they hide themselves, they are those that watch my heels, as though they hoped [to take] my soul.
7 Achonset pum’un jammang sah hihbeh in; na lungsah na achun O Pakai amaho chu sumang jeng’in.
Because of their wrong-doing let me escape from them: in anger cast down the people, O God.
8 Nang’in ka thoh gimna neihetpeh jingnan ahi, nang’in ka lengvaina mitlhi hi khon a nakhol khom in, chuleh khatcheh hi na lekhabu’a najihlut e.
My wanderings hast thou well numbered: put thou my tears into thy bottle; behold, they are numbered by thee.
9 Keiman nangma eikithopi ding’a ka kou tengleh ka galmite jamming taovin te. Hijeh’a chu keiman Pathen hi keima lang’a pang ahi ti ka het jingna ahi!
Then shall my enemies retire backward on the day when I call [on thee]: this I know—that God is for me.
10 Pathen’in kakoma kitep na anei jeh in keiman Pathen ka thangvah e; henge, Pathen in kahinga kitepna anei jeh in Pakai ka thangvah ahi.
In God will I praise the word: in the Lord will I praise the word.
11 Keiman Pathen ka tahsanna a hi ka din jingle ipi ding’a ka kichat ding ham? Mihem mai mai hon i eilo di’u ham?
In God have I put my trust; I will not be afraid: what can man do unto me?
12 O Pathen nang kom’a ka kitepna keiman subulhit ingting chutengleh kilhaina in thangvahna peng ka te.
Upon me, O God, [rest] thy vows: I will pay thanksgiving offerings unto thee.
13 Ajeh chu nang’in ka thina ding’a kon’in neihuhdoh tan kakiselhuh louna din nang ka keng neituh peh tai. Hijeh chun O Pathen tunna angsung hinna vah napeh na mun a chun hung lut thei tange.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death—yea, behold, my feet from slipping, that I may walk before God in the light of the life.
