1 Vo Pakai, kataona ngaijin. Kangeh hi nei ngaipeh teijin! Nangma kitahna le dihna bang in, neidonbut in.
A Melody of David. O Yahweh, hear my prayer, Give ear to my supplications, In thy faithfulness, answer me, in thy righteousness.
2 Nalhacha hi nei patep hih in chule kachung thujong tan hihbeh in, ajeh chu koima na ang-sunga adih aumpoi.
Do not then enter into judgment with thy servant, for no one living, can appear just before thee.
3 Ajeh chu kagal miten eihin del peh in, kahing chang in tolgoi nan ineijin, lhan khuh-a athisa umho bangin, kada kacham louvin muthim lah’a eiumsah tai.
For an enemy hath pursued my soul, hath crushed, to the earth, my life, hath made me dwell in dark places, like the ancient dead.
4 Hijeh chun keiman kinepna ding kanei tapon, kalung sung kichatnan adim e.
Therefore hath my spirit, fainted concerning myself, Within me, hath, my heart, been confounded.
5 Keiman khanglui nikho chesa ho kageldoh’in, nakhut tenia natohdohsa thil thupi ho kagel jing in ahi.
I have remembered the days of aforetime, I have talked with myself of every deed of thine, Of the work of thy hands, I would speak:
6 Kakhut tenin nahenglam kasang’in kataovin, Gamgo-in sadoh leuva twi angaichat bang in; keiman nangma kangaichan ahi.
I have spread out my hands unto thee, My soul, is as a thirsty land, for thee. (Selah)
7 O Pakai, nei donbut loijin, ajeh chu kahin kho bei pai ding ahitai. Keija kon’in kihei mang hih in, ijeh-inem itileh lhan khuh-a khilutsa kabah ding ahi.
Speedily answer me, O Yahweh, My spirit faileth, —Do not hide thy face from me, or I shall be made like unto them who go down into the pit.
8 Jingkah sehleh nalungsetna longlou neijahsah in, ajeh chu keima kingaina nangbou nahi. Kalam lhahna jouse neihil them in, kahin kho hi nangma dia kaphal theng ahi.
Let me hear, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, for, in thee, have, I trusted, —Let me know the way in which I should walk, for, unto thee, have I uplifted my soul.
9 O Pakai, kagal mitea kon’in neihuhdoh in, nahenga kisel dinga hung jamlut kahi bouve.
Rescue me from my foes, O Yahweh, Unto thee, have I come seeking refuge.
10 Ka-Pathen nahi, nadeilam bolje neihil in, name khotona lhagao chun dettah’a pan kalah jingna din neipui jing in.
Teach me to do thy good pleasure, for, thou, art my God, —Thy spirit, is good, thou wilt set me down to rest in a level land.
11 O Pakai, namin loupina ding in kahinkho hinghoi teijin. Ajeh chu nakitahna jal’in kahahsatna’a kon in nei puidoh tan.
For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, wilt thou give unto me life, In thy righteousness, wilt thou bring forth, out of distress, my soul;
12 Nami ngailutna longlou chun, kagal mite manthahsan in! Chule nalhacha kahi, eidou ho jouse sumang hel in.
And, in thy lovingkindness, wilt thou exterminate my foes, —and destroy all the adversaries of my soul, because, I, am thy servant.
