1 Chapa ching chun anu le apan ahilna angaijin, miduhdah lou vang chu min aphona jong iman-agel jipoi.

2 Chihna kamcheng in an-pha akimu thei jin, jou le nal jenga thuseipan vang pumthoa mu ding bou agel in ahi.
From [the] fruit of [the] mouth of a person he eats good thing[s] and [the] appetite of treacherous [people] [is] violence.
3 Alei kituh tang joupa chu kihinso tei ding, koi hileh alei tuhtang thei lou chu mangthah tei ding ahi.
[one who] guards Mouth his [is] protecting life his [one who] opens lips his ruin [belongs] to him.
4 Mithase hon nehding tampi angaicha jiuvin, hinlah miching in nehding lungkim sel-in amujin ahi.
[is] coveting And nothing appetite his a sluggard and [the] appetite of diligent [people] it will be made fat.
5 Midih in jousei abol ngaipon, midihlou vang chun jumna le ngailutna beijin na-atongdoh jin ahi.
A word of falsehood he hates a righteous [person] and a wicked [person] he acts odiously and he may act shamefully.
6 Milungdih chu adihna jal in ahoidoh jin, miphalou vang chu chonsetnan apui mangthah jitai.
Righteousness it preserves integrity of way and wickedness it subverts sin.
7 Mi kimkhat chu hao akisah lheh jin, hinlah ima aneideh poi. Mi kimkhatma chu akivai chatsah lheh jin, hinlah nei le gou kimsel-in aneijin ahi.
There [is one who] enriches himself and there not [is] anything [one who] impoverishes himself and wealth great.
8 Mihem khat chun anei le agou jal’a ahinkho akilhatdoh ahin, hinlah mivaicha ding in kilhatdoh jouna aum jipoi.
[the] ransom of [the] life of A person [is] wealth his and a poor [person] not he hears a threat.
9 Midihte chu thaomei bang in avah jing in, miphaloute thaomei vang hetman louva mit ding ahi.
[the] light of Righteous [people] it rejoices and [the] lamp of wicked [people] it is extinguished.
10 Kiletsahna jeh’in thungai loute akitoh thei jipon, kineosah a min ahilna kisante ding in vang chihna ahi.
Only with pride it gives contention and [is] with [those who] receive advice wisdom.
11 Gangtah’a kimu nei le gou chu hetman louva bei ding, nei le gou kholkhom lelepa-a vang chu tam cheh cheh ding ahi.
Wealth from vanity it will become small and [one who] gathers on hand he will increase.
12 Kinepna bang aso-lou teng, mihem lungthim atongkha jin, hinlah lungtup molsana chu hin-thingphung banga hing jing ding ahi.
Hope deferred [is] making sick [the] heart and [is] a tree of life a desire [which] comes.
13 Min ahilna ngainom loupa chunga manthahna lhung ding, koi hileh thupeh ngaisanga chu kipaman chang tei ding ahi.
[one who] despises A word he will be pledged to it and [one] fearing a commandment he he will be rewarded.
14 Miching mihilna chu hinna twinah tobang ahin, hitobang kihilna sang chan chun thina apeldoh teidiu ahi.
[the] instruction of A wise [person] [is] a fountain of life to turn aside from [the] snares of death.
15 Lungdih kiti hin thilpha atongdoh jin, kitahna beihel mi vang chu mangthah ding ahi.
Insight good it gives favor and [the] way of treacherous [people] [is] enduring.
16 Miching ho chun akalson masang in ageltoh masa jin, mingol hon vang geltoh masa louvin, angolnau atah lang jiuvin ahi.
Every sensible [person] he acts with knowledge and a fool he spreads out foolishness.
17 Thupole miphalou chun miho lunggim hesoh alhut peh jin, ngansena chang tahsan um mi vang chun lungdamna jeng alhut jin ahi.
A messenger wicked he falls in trouble and an envoy of faithfulness [is] healing.
18 Seingai loupa chunga chun gentheina le vetsetna alhung jin, min ahilna chan ngaipa vang chu jabolna chang tei ding ahi.
Poverty and shame [one who] ignores discipline and [one who] keeps correction he is honored.
19 Ngaichat khat toh molso nahi hinkhoa dinga lungkimna ahin, hinlah thilse jamsan ding hi mingol hon athet jiuvin ahi.
A desire done (is pleasing *LAH(b)*) to a person and [is] an abomination of fools to turn aside from evil.
20 Miching toh kivop chu aching in, mingol toh kivoppan vang setna ato tei ding ahi.
([one who] walks *Q(K)*) With wise [people] (he will become wise *Q(K)*) and [one who] associates with fools he will be harmed.
21 Chonseho chu setna ajui jiuvin, midihte vang chu phatthei nan ajui jing un ahi.
Sinners it pursues calamity and righteous [people] it rewards good.
22 Mipha chun atute khang geija din gou adalhah peh jin, chonseten akhol nei le gou vang chu michonpha ho ding ahibouve.
A good [person] he leaves an inheritance to children of children and [is] stored up for the righteous [the] wealth of a sinner.
23 Vaichaten lou alho teng, neh ding nengchat in akhol khom un, hinlah adihlouva thutan ten achom peh jitauve.
Abundance of food [the] unplowed ground of poor [people] and there [is what] is swept away in not justice.
24 Achate mol’a jep loupa chun, mol aboh ding nom lou ahin, hinlah achate ngailutna neipa chun lungthim phatah mangchan ahil-jin ahi.
[one who] restrains Rod his [is] hating son his and [one who] loves him he seeks early him discipline.
25 Midih chun lung nachim tah’a neh ding anei jing in, hinlah miphalou ho chu gelkel’a oi-thep ding ahiuve.
A righteous [person] [is] eating to [the] satiety of appetite his and [the] belly of wicked [people] it is lacking.
