And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness

during forty days, being tempted of the devil. And he did eat nothing in those days: and when they were completed, he hungered.

And the devil said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it become bread.

And Jesus answered unto him, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone.

And he led him up, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 “Hiche lenggam ho loupina le achunguva thuneina nangma kapeh ding nahi,” tin diabol chun aseiyin, “Ajehchu aboncha keiya ahin kapeh nom nom kapeh thei ahi.
And the devil said unto him, To thee will I give all this authority, and the glory of them: for it hath been delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 Aboncha nangma kapeh ding nahi nangman keima nei hou leh,” tin aseitai.
If thou therefore wilt worship before me, it shall all be thine.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, It is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

And he led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to guard thee:

and, On their hands they shall bear thee up, Lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Pathen Lekhabun hitin jong aseikit'e, Nangman Pakai na Pathen napatep lou ding ahi” ati.
And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13 Diabol chun Yeshua alhep patep jou phat in, phat gomkom umkit kah a din adalhatai.
And when the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him for a season.
14 Chuin Yeshua Galilee langah Lhagao Theng thahatna dimset pumin akiletai. Ama chungchang thulhut ho agamkai pumpi ah gangtah'in akithejal soh tai.
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and a fame went out concerning him through all the region round about.
15 Akikhopnau in tin'ah thu ahil jin mijousen apahcha lheh'e.
And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
16 Ama Narareth kho, ahung seilet na khoa ahung chun, abolngai jing bangin Sabbath nin akikhopnau in'ah alut in Pathen Lekhabu sim dingin adingdoh in ahi.
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and he entered, as his custom was, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17 Isaiah themgao lekhajol chu apeuvin ahi. Aman lekhajol chu alhamlhan hitia kijihna mun chu amudoh tai:
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And he opened the book, and found the place where it was written,

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.

And he began to say unto them, Today hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears.
22 Mijousen aseiphalheh jengun chule akamsunga kona aphondoh lungsetna thuho chu kidang asauvin ahi. “Hiche hi iti ham?” tin amahon adongun, “Hiche hi Joseph chapa hilou ham?” atiuve.
And all bare him witness, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded out of his mouth: and they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?

And he said unto them, Doubtless ye will say unto me this parable, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in thine own country.

And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is acceptable in his own country.
25 “Tahbeh in Elijah phat laiyin Israel gamsungah ngaichat khohtah nei meithai tamtah anaume, vankot kum thumle akeh akikha'a gamsunga kel nasatah analhun chun.
But of a truth I say unto you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when there came a great famine over all the land;
26 Ahivangin Elijah chu koima komah ana kisol poi. Gamchom mi kom joh'a sol anahi–Sidon gam'a Zarephath khoa meithai nu kom.
and unto none of them was Elijah sent, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
27 Chule themgao Elisha phat laiyin jong Israel gamsungah miphah tampi ana um'in, ahivangin Syria mi Naaman bouseh suhdamin anaume,” ati.
And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.
28 Hiche thu ajah phat un, kikhopna in'a umho chu alunghang tauvin ahi.
And they were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things;
29 Achomdoh un, aman'un akhochen nau kol mong lama chun apui tauve. Hiche kol'a chu sotlhah ding atiu ahi,
and they rose up, and cast him forth out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might throw him down headlong.
30 ahivangin akikah lah uva akihehdoh in akiva mang tai.
But he passing through the midst of them went his way.
31 Chuin Yeshua Capernaum kiti Galilee gam kho khat'ah achen, chukom mun'a chun choldo nikho seh le akikhopnau in'a chun thu ahil ji'e.
And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And he was teaching them on the sabbath day:
32 Hikom'a jong chun mihon athuhil chu kidang asalheh'un ahi, ajeh chu aman thuneitah'a aseijeh ahi.
and they were astonished at his teaching; for his word was with authority.
33 Khatvei akikhopnau in'a aumpet in, thilhavop khat–lhagao boh'in avop khat–Yeshua henga chun ahung pengjah jengin,
And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil; and he cried out with a loud voice,
34 “Che mangin! Ipijeh'a kalah'uva hung kikumlut nahim, Nazereth Yeshua? Keiho sumang dinga hung'ah nahim? Keiman nangma koi nahi kahenai–Pathen Mithengpa!” atin ahi.
Ah! what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
35 Yeshuan athusei alatan in, “Thip'in! hiche mipa'a kon chun hung potdoh'in,” tin thupeh aneitan ahi. Chutah chun thilha chun mipa chu lhonglaiyah ahin seplhun, mihonpin avetjing laichun; chuin ama'a kon chun ima bolsebe talouvin ahung potdoh tan ahi.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him down in the midst, he came out of him, having done him no hurt.
36 Kidang san mipi ho chun aphongdoh un, “Ipi thuneina le thilboltheina hiche mipa hin anei hitam! Lhagao boh jeng jong athun anungin, athupeh'a kon in ajam uve!” atiuvin ahi.
And amazement came upon all, and they spake together, one with another, saying, What is this word? for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
37 Chuche gamkai pumpi a chun Yeshua thu chu khotin'ah akithang tan ahi.
And there went forth a rumour concerning him into every place of the region round about.
38 Chuche nikhoa akikhopnau in adalhah jouvin, Yeshua Simon in'ah achen, hikom'a chun Simon nupanu khosihpi jeh'a nasatah a dammo agatoh khan ahi. “Lungset'in sudam teiyin,” tin mijousen athum tauve.
And he rose up from the synagogue, and entered into the house of Simon. And Simon’s wife’s mother was holden with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
39 A-jalkhun komah adingin, akhosih chu aphoh thip tan ahileh akhosih chun amanu adalhatai. Chuin amanu athoudoh pai ngallin amaho ding anneh sem in apangtai.
And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she rose up and ministered unto them.
40 Nisa alhum toh lhon'in, chuche nilhah chun, khosung pumpia a-insungmi damlou neiho sen Yeshua hengah ahin puiyun ahi. Itobang natna hijong leh akhut'in atohkhah chan chu suhdamin aum tauve.
And when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 Mi tamtah chu thilhavop ahiuvin; chule thilha ho chu athupeh'a kon in ahung potdoh'un, apengjah un, “Nangma Pathen Chapa nahi,” atiuvin ahi. Ahivangin ama Messiah ahi ahetjeh'u chun, aman amaho chu aphohthip in thu aseidoh sah tapoi.
And devils also came out from many, crying out, and saying, Thou art the Son of God. And rebuking them, he suffered them not to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
42 Ajing jingkah matah in Yeshua munthip lah khat ah achedoh tan ahi. Mihonpi chun amachu muntin aholle un, achaina kheh a amu phat uvin, aman amaho adalhah nalou diuvin atao tauve.
And when it was day, he came out and went into a desert place: and the multitudes sought after him, and came unto him, and would have stayed him, that he should not go from them.
43 Ahivangin aman adonbut in, “Keiman Pathen Lenggam Kipana Thuphahi khodang'a jong kaseiphong ding ahi, ajeh chu hiche dinga chu eikisol ahi,” ati.
But he said unto them, I must preach the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also: for therefore was I sent.
44 Chuti chun akholjin abanjop'in, Judea gam pumpia akikhopnau in tin'ah thu ahillhang len ahi.
And he was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
