< Luke 18 >

1 Nikhat Yeshuan aseijuite ataojing nadiu leh alhahdai lou nadiu vetsahnan thusim khat aseipeh e.
And he spoke also a parable to them to the purport that they should always pray and not faint,
2 “Khopi khat a hin thutan khat Pathen ginglou chule miho khohsah na jong neilou khat aumin ahi.
saying, There was a judge in a city, not fearing God and not respecting man:
3 Chuche khopia meithai khat chu kinong chel'in ahung jingin, ‘Kagalmi hotoh kakiboinau hi thu adih in neitan peh'in,’ ahung tijin ahi.
and there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of mine adverse party.
4 Thutan pan phat chomkhat amanu chu isahlou tah in anakoiyin, ahin achainakeiyin hitin akihoulim in, Keiman Pathen kaging pon ahiloule miho jong hole tilou kahi,
And he would not for a time; but afterwards he said within himself, If even I fear not God and respect not man,
5 ahivangin hiche numei nu hin eisungol lhatai. Keiman thu adih'a tanlhah peh ahinadin vetpeh inge. Ajeh chu amanu hin athilthum jinga kon hin ei sulungvai lhatai,” ati.
at any rate because this widow annoys me I will avenge her, that she may not by perpetually coming completely harass me.
6 Chuin Pakaiyin aseiyin, “Hiche chondihlou thutanpa a konin kihil un.”
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.
7 “Ama jengin jong achaina a thu adih'a tandia ahin gellhah ahi. Hijeh a chu Pathen in alhenchom te, ama koma asun ajan'a kapjing techu thu adih'a atanpeh ding ahi ti nagel lou u ham? Amaho chu donlouvin koijing in te natim?
And shall not God at all avenge his elect, who cry to him day and night, and he bears long as to them?
8 Kaseipeh nahiuve, aman kinloitah a thu adih'a atanpeh ding ahi! Ahinlah Mihem Chapa hung kit teng, leiset chunga hin mi ijat tahsan nei mudoh intem?” ati.
I say unto you that he will avenge them speedily. But when the Son of man comes, shall he indeed find faith on the earth?
9 Chuin Yeshuan hiche thusim hi mi konkhat ama chonphatna a kisonga midang musit ho dingin aseiye:
And he spoke also to some, who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and made nothing of all the rest [of men], this parable:
10 “Mi ni houin ah taona mangin ache lhon'e. Khat chu Pharisee mi ahin, chule adang khatpa chu musit umtah kaidong ahi.
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax-gatherer.
11 Pharisee mipa chu adingin hitin ataove: ‘Kakipah'e Pathen, adangho banga chonse kahilou jeh in. Ajeh chu lepthol in kabol pon, kachonse pon, chule jonthanhoi jong kabolpoi. Keima atahbeh in khuche kaidongpa tobang kahipoi!
The Pharisee, standing, prayed thus to himself: God, I thank thee that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax-gatherer.
12 Keiman hapta khat in nivei an kangol'in, kasum mu jat a konin soma khat kapei,’ ati.
I fast twice in the week, I tithe everything I gain.
13 Ahivangin kaidong pachu gamlatah a adingin chule amit jeng'a jong vanlam ve ngamlouvin ataove. Chusang chun lungkham tah in aman a-op achum'in hitin aseiye, ‘O’ Pathen, neilungset in, ijeh inem itile chonse kahibouve, ati.
And the tax-gatherer, standing afar off, would not lift up even his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, have compassion on me, the sinner.
14 Kaseipeh nahiuve, Pharisee pa hilou, hiche chonsepa chu Pathen ang-ah them achangin inlam akiletai. Ijeh inem itile ama kichoisang hochu suhnem'a umding, chule akineosah hochu dopsang'a umdiu ahi,” ati.
I say unto you, This [man] went down to his house justified rather than that [other]. For every one who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.
15 Nikhat nule pa phabep in achateu chapang neocha chaho chu Yeshuan atham'a phatthei aboh dingin ahin puiyun ahi. Ahivangin aseijuiten hichu amuphat un, anule apateu koma chun ama nasuboi bep uve tin ahouse uvin ahi.
And they brought to him also infants that he might touch them, but the disciples when they saw [it] rebuked them.
16 Chuin Yeshuan chapang ho chu akouvin chule aseijuite hengah aseitai, “Chapang ho chu kahengah hung uhen. Jahda hih'un! Ajeh chu Pathen Lenggam chu hiche chapang neocha tobanghoa ding bou ahi.
But Jesus calling them to [him] said, Suffer little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Thutah kaseipeh nahiuve, koi hileh chapang neocha banga Pathen Lenggam sanglou chu lutlou hel ding ahi,” ati.
Verily I say to you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
18 Khatvei hou lamkai khat hin hiche thudoh hi adonge: “Houhil pha, tonsot hinna kanei thei na dinga ipi kabol ding ham?” ati. (aiōnios g166)
And a certain ruler asked him saying, Good teacher, having done what, shall I inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
19 “Ipi bol'a apha tia nei kou ham” tin aledoh in, Pathen bouseh dihtah'a pha ahi.
But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, God.
20 Ahin nathudoh donbut nan, thupeh ho nahet chula: “Nangman jon bol hih'in, tolthat hih'in, gucha hih'in, jouvin mi hehse hih in, nanu napa jabol in,” ati.
Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
21 Mipan adonbut in, “Hiche thupeh ho jouse hi kachapan laiya pat kajui sohkei ahitai,” ati.
And he said, All these things have I kept from my youth.
22 Yeshuan adonbutna thu ajah phat chun, hitin aseitai, “Nabol loulai thilkhat aume. Nanei jouse joh in lang hiche sum chu mivaicha ho pen, chutileh van'a gou nanei ding ahi. Chuteng hungin, neijuiyin,” ati.
And when Jesus had heard this, he said to him, One thing is lacking to thee yet: Sell all that thou hast and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens, and come, follow me.
23 Ahivangin mipa chun hichu ajahdoh phat in alung kham lheh tan ahi, ijeh inem itile amachu haosatah ahi.
But when he heard this he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.
24 Yeshuan hichu amuphat in, aseitai, “Mihaosa Pathen Lenggam alut ding hi iti hah hitam!”
But when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, he said, How difficultly shall those who have riches enter into the kingdom of God;
25 “Atahbeh in, heobil hom'a sangongsao alut galkai ding hi mihaosa Pathen Lenggam a alut ding sangin abaijoi,” ati.
for it is easier for a camel to enter through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 Hiche akisei jajouse chun aseiyun, “Achutileh vannoi leiset'a koiham huhhing na chang jou ding?” atiuve.
And those who heard it said, And who can be saved?
27 Aman adonbut in, “Mihem dinga hithei lou chu Pathen dinga hithei ahi,” ati.
But he said, The things that are impossible with men are possible with God.
28 Peter in aseiyin, “Keihon nangma jui dingin ka-in'u kadalhauve,” ati.
And Peter said, Behold, we have left all things and have followed thee.
29 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Henge” chuleh ka lhamon nahiuve, “Koihileh Pathen Lenggam jal'a a'in ham, ajinu ham, asopiho ham, ahiloule anu apa ham achate ham pedoh chan chu,
And he said to them, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left home, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
30 tamtahvei tuhinkhoa hi lepeh'a umdiu chule ahunglhung ding khang'a jong tonsot hinkemlou amuding'u ahi,” ati. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
who shall not receive manifold more at this time, and in the coming age life eternal. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Seijui somleni ho atumbeh'in apuidoh in, Yeshuan ajah uva aseiye, “Ngaiyun, eiho Jerusalem chetou ding ihiuve, Mihem Chapa chungchang thudol'a themgao thusei jouse guilhun na ding mun chu ahi.
And he took the twelve to [him] and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written of the Son of man by the prophets shall be accomplished;
32 Amachu Rome te khut'a pehdoh'a umding ahi, chule amachu tot thanghoi'a umding, jachat umtah'a kibol ding, chil kisetkhum ding ahi.
for he shall be delivered up to the nations, and shall be mocked, and insulted, and spit upon.
33 Amahon avoh'uva chule athadiu ahi, ahivanga anithum nileh thoukit ding ahi,” ati.
And when they have scourged [him] they will kill him; and on the third day he will rise again.
34 Ahin, amahon hitiho thuhi khatcha ahethei pouve. Athusei ho athupije chu amaho a kona ki im mang ahi, hijeh a chu athusei chu amattoh thei lou u ahitai.
And they understood nothing of these things. And this word was hidden from them, and they did not know what was said.
35 Yeshuan Jericho anaisuh lai hin, mitcho khutdo khat lamsih'ah ana touve.
And it came to pass when he came into the neighbourhood of Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the wayside begging.
36 Aman mihonpi kijot khuto gin ajah phat in, ipi thu hitam ti adongin ahi.
And when he heard the crowd passing, he inquired what this might be.
37 Nazereth Yeshuan hikom chu ahopa ahi ti aseipeh tauve.
And they told him that Jesus the Nazaraean was passing by.
38 Hijeh chun amapa ahung eojah tan, “Yeshua, David chapa, neilungset in!” ahintin ahi.
And he called out saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.
39 “Thip'in” tin masang langa miho chun ahutot tauvin ahi. Ahivangin ama awgingjep in ahapen cheh tan, “David Chapa, neilungset in!” ati.
And those [who were] going before rebuked him that he might be silent; but he cried out so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.
40 Yeshuan ajahdoh phat in, adingin mipa chu ahinpui lut diuvin athupeh tai. Mipa ahung nai toh lhonin Yeshuan adongin,
And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be led to him. And when he drew nigh he asked him [saying],
41 “Ipi nabolpeh leng natim?” tin adong tai. Aman, “Pakai, kho muleng kati!” ati.
What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And he said, Lord, that I may see.
42 Chuin Yeshuan aseiyin, “Aphai, kho mutan! Natahsan in nadamsah ahitai,” ati.
And Jesus said to him, See: thy faith has healed thee.
43 Apettah chun mipa chun kho amutai chuleh amapan Yeshua nung ajuiyin Pathen avahchoi tai. Chuleh amujousen jong Pathen avahchoi cheh tauve.
And immediately he saw, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people when they saw [it] gave praise to God.
