< Luke 13 >

1 Hiche phatlai hin Pilate in Galilee gam mi phabep'in Hou'in a kilhaina gantha abollaiyun athat'e tithu Yeshua seipeh in aumin ahi.
Now there were some present at that very season which told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 “Hiche Galilee miho chu Galilee gam midang ho jouse sanga chonse joa nangaito uvam?” tin Yeshuan adongin, “Hijeh a chu chutia thoh genthei athoh u ahi natiuvem?
And he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things?
3 Ahipoi, kaseipeh nahiuve, nalung nahei uva Pathen lam'a nakihei lou uleh nangho jong mangthah ding nahiuve.
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish.
4 Chuleh Siloam inting achima adellih mi somleget hochu la? Amaho chu Jerusalem a dinga michonse pen ho hitauvam?
Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?
5 Ahipoi, chule kaseipeh kit nahiuve, nalung nahei lou uleh namanthah diu ahi” ati.
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 Chuin Yeshuan hiche thusim hi ahinseiye: “Mikhat in ahonsung ah theichang phungkhat atun chule avel vel in aga umding ham tin ahung ve jin, hinlah amapa alung lhalheh jeng jin ahi.
And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Achainan honlhou pa jah'a, Kumthum hulteh kanga ahitai, ahin tuchan'in theichang khatbeh jong aga poi! Phuhlhu uvin,” ati. Honsungah mun alobep seuvin anohphah e, ati.
And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?
8 “Hon lhoupan adonbut in, ‘Pakai phat khatvei peh ben, kumkhat umsah ben, chule keiman phatechan vesui ingting leiphat na ding tampi sung inge.
And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 Khovei leh theichang imu le aphai. Imulou uleh, na phuhlhuh thei ahitai’ ati” tin aseiye.
and if it bear fruit thenceforth, [well]; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.
10 Cholngah ni khat hi Yeshuan kikhopna in'a thu ahil pet hin,
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath day.
11 Numei khat lhagaoboh in lam jot moa alha amui. Kum somleget jen tingbong'a dingjang thei louva alha ahi.
And behold, a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed together, and could in no wise lift herself up.
12 Yeshuan amanu amu chun, ahinkouvin aseitai, “Ngailut umtah numeinu, nanat na'a kona kisudam'ah nahitai,” ati.
And when Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 Chuin amanu chu atham'in ahileh amanu jong chupettah chun adingjang thei tai. Pathen iti avahchoi hitam!
And he laid his hands upon her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 Ahivangin kikhopna in'a lhacha mopopa chun cholngah nia amisuhdam jeh chun nommo asan. “Hapta sunga nigup natoh nading um ahi,” tin mihonpi jah'a chun, “Hiche nikho ho a chun hungun, Cholngahni hilouvin” ati.
And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.
15 Ahivangin Pakaiyin adonbut in, “Miphalhem ho! Nabon uva Cholngah nia na natoh sohkeiyu chula! Na bongchal ham ahiloule na sangan ham Cholngah nia akihenna a pat a sutlham'a tui donsah dia napui jiu hilou ham?
But the Lord answered him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 Hiche lungset umtah numeinu, Abraham chanu hi, Satan in kum somleget jen soh'a ahentang ahi. Cholngahni hijongleh chutobang suhdam chu dihlou ham?” ati.
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, [these] eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?
17 Hichun agalmi ho asujum in, ahin mijousen thilkidang abolho jeh chun akipah tauve.
And as he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame: and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
18 Chuin Yeshuan aseiyin, “Pathen Lenggam chu itobang ham? Iti katekah ding ham?
He said therefore, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I liken it?
19 Ankam mu neocha tobang mikhat in hon'a atu tobang ahi; ahung khangin chule thingphung ahung kisoh e, chule vachaten abah tin'ah genading bu akisah jiuve,” ati.
It is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree; and the birds of the heaven lodged in the branches thereof.
20 Aman adong kit in, “Pathen Lenggam chu ipi toh kitekah ding ham?
And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 Nupi khat in changlhah asemna a amanchah chol tobang ahi. Changbong atena dimthum'a chol neocha akoi ahivangin, apumpin ahin thulha jin ahi,” ati.
It is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.
22 Yeshua khopi hole khoneo tin'ah achen, achena chan'ah thu ahil'in, Jerusalem lam amano jinge.
And he went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and journeying on unto Jerusalem.
23 Koiham khat in ahin dongin, “Pakai, mi themkhat bou huhhing'a um ding ham?” ati. Aman adonbut in,
And one said unto him, Lord, are they few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 “Pathen Lenggam lutna a kotjim lam'a lutna dingin kihabol un, ajeh chu mi tamtah'in lutding agotding ahivanga losam diu ahi.
Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 In neipan kot akam jou teng, geisang val ding ahitai. Nangma pamlam'a nadin'a kot nakiu ding chule natao ding, ‘Pakai, keiho dingin kot neihon peh un!’ nati ding, ahivanga aman nahin donbut diu, ‘Keiman nangho koi nahiu ahiloule hoiya kon nahiu kahekhapoi’ ati ding ahi.
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are;
26 Chuteng nanghon naseidiu, ‘Ahivanga nangma toh kaneh uva kadon uva, chule kalampiu lah dunga jong neinahil u chula’ natidiu ahi.
then shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets;
27 Chule aman hitia hi ahin donbut ding, ‘Kaseipeh nahiuve, keiman nangho kahekhapoi chule hoiya kona hung nahiu kahepoi. Kakoma konin potdoh'un, nangho thilse bolteho.’
and he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 Chumun'a chu ka le hagel um ding ahi, ijeh inem itile Pathen lenggam a chu Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, chule themgao jouse namudiu ahi, amavang nangma nakipaidoh ding ahi.
There shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without.
29 Chule miho vannoi pumpi–solam le lhumlam a pat, sah le lhang a pat–Pathen lenggam'a amun'u kilo dinga hung khom diu ahi.
And they shall come from the east and west, and from the north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 Chule hiche hi kichin in: mi phabep tua mi-noinung pen dan'a umhohi khonung leh alenpen hidiu ahi, chule tua alenpen hohi aneopen hidiu ahi,” ati.
And behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
31 Hiche pet chun Pharisee ho phabep khat in ajah'a, “Hikoma konin potdoh'in nakihinso nom leh! Herod in nathatdoh nom'e!” atiuve.
In that very hour there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Get thee out, and go hence: for Herod would fain kill thee.
32 Yeshuan adonbut in, “Cheuvin lang chuche si-al chu gaseipeh un, thilha kanodoh jing ding chule ana damlou kasuhdam jing ding, tunia jong jinga jong; chule anithum nile kahung lona kasuh bulhit ding ahi.
And he said unto them, Go and say to that fox, Behold, I cast out devils and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third [day] I am perfected.
33 Henge, tuni le jing, chule ajing kit le kalampia chu kachejom ding ahi. Ajeh chu Jerusalem tailouva themgao kithat theilou ding ahi.”
Howbeit I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, themgaoho that le Pathen sottolle ho songa seplih khopi! Ijat vei ahpin anoute alhaving noiya a-opkhum banga nachate khoptup ding kagot ham, ahivangin neibolsah poi.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen [gathereth] her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Chuleh tun, ven, na-in hi kidalha ahitai. Chuleh nangman neimu kitlou ding ahitai, ‘Pakai min'a hungpa anunnom'e!’ tia naseikit tokah'a,” ati.
Behold, your house is left unto you [desolate]: and I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
