1 Pakai lunghanna tanggolla kon hungpotdoh thohgimna chu keima tahin kamuchet ahi.
Aleph. I am the man that see my poverty by the rod of his indignation.
2 Aman vah jouse daltanin, Muthim laha eipuilut e.
Aleph. He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, and not into light.
3 Nilhum keijin avel vellin keima dounan ka chunga a khut a lamin ahi.
Aleph. Only against me he hath turned, and turned again his hand all the day.
4 Aman kaphe leh kavun agotsah jenge. Kagu kachang jong a sungoi jengin ahi.
Beth. My skin and my flesh he hath made old, he hath broken my bones.
5 Aman lunggimna leh gentheina eisun khumin chatmo hellin eilha tai.
Beth. He hath built round about me, and he hath compassed me with gall and labour.
6 Aman mithisa ho bangin, Muthim laha eivuiye.
Beth. He hath set me in dark places as those that are dead for ever.
7 Aman pal eikai khumin, Keima ka jamdoh thei tapoi. Thihkhao gihtahin jong eikan chah e.
Ghimel. He hath built against me round about, that I may not get out: he hath made my fetters heavy.
8 Keima kapengjah jeng vang'in, Aman ka taona adalten del tai.
Ghimel. Yea, and when I cry, and entreat, he hath shut out my prayer.
9 Songpal sangtah in ka lampi akhah tannin; Ka lampi eisuh setpeh e.
Ghimel. He hath shut up my ways with square stones, he hath turned my paths upside down.
10 Keima man dingin, Kei le vompi bang in kiselin eichang lei.
Daleth. He is become to me as a bear lying in wait: as a lion in secret places.
11 Aman ka lampia kon in eimanin eimal tel tel in, Hesoh genthei le panpi beiyin eilhai.
Daleth. He hath turned aside my paths, and hath broken me in pieces, he hath made me desolate.
12 Aman athal-pou aloisalin, Keima abidoiyin eineiye.
Daleth. He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for his arrows.
13 Ka lungchang laitaha, Athalchang chu a kaplut jenge.
He. He hath shot into my reins the daughters of his quiver.
14 Kamiten nuisatbepseu kahi tai. Nilhum keijin musetna la eisah khum uve.
He. I am made a derision to all my people, their song all the day long.
15 Aman lunggimna jengin eisu dimin, Lungkhamna khacheh khon chu eidon sah e.
He. He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath inebriated me with wormwood.
16 Aman songchang eilhai sahin, vutvai laha eilehluttan ahi.
Vau. And he hath broken my teeth one by one, he hath fed me with ashes.
17 Chamna chu eilah mang pehin, Phatthei channa ding chu keidin gelphah ahi tapoi.
Vau. And my soul is removed far off from peace, I have forgotten good things.
18 Ka loupina nikho akichai tan, Pakaiya ka kinepna jouse jong ahomkiu ahitai, tin kakap jah jeng tai.
Vau. And I said: My end and my hope is perished from the Lord.

Zain. Remember my poverty, and transgression, the wormwood, and the gall.
20 Ka thohgimna le in le kagentheina hi, seiya seijou hoi ahita poi.
Zain. I will be mindful and remember, and my soul shall languish within me.
21 Ahin hiche hi kahin geldoh teng, Kinepna kanei jou jin ahi:
Zain. These things I shall think over in my heart, therefore will I hope.
22 Pakai neingailutna dihtah chun beitih anei pon, Amikhotona jong atangdeh poi.
Heth. The mercies of the Lord that we are not consumed: because his commiserations have not failed.
23 A kitahna hi longlou ahin, Ami khotona jong jingkah sehin athah jingin ahi.
Heth. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness.
24 Kahinna ka lhagaovin aseijin Pakai hi keima gou ahi. Hijeh chun Ama a kakinepna hi umjing ahije.
Heth. The Lord is my portion, said my soul: therefore will I wait for him.
25 Pakai ging jingte leh hinna dinga hol jing tedinga phatah ahi.
Teth. The Lord is good to them that hope in him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 Hijeh chun Pakaija konna huhhing na muna dinga thipbeh cha nga hat angaije.
Teth. It is good to wait with silence for the salvation of God.
27 Chu leh khan don laiya Ama angsunga kipehlut leh Ami thununna koljon kikhum lut aphai.
Teth. It is good for a man, when he hath borne the yoke from his youth.
28 Ama chu Pakaiyin atohsah nomna dung juiyin thipbeh in aching seh in ngah jing hen.
Jod. He shall sit solitary, and hold his peace: because he hath taken it up upon himself.
29 Amaho chun amaijun tollam ngatnu henlang kijammu hen ajeh chu amahon ajona leh akinepna’u dung jui'a amu thei diu ahi.
Jod. He shall put his mouth in the dust, if so be there may be hope.
30 Amaho chun a ngei phe bengho chu alangkhat jong dopeh uhenlang agalmi ten anoise nau jong kisan u-hen.
Jod. He shall give his cheek to him that striketh him, he shall be filled with reproaches.
31 Ajeh chu koi macha hi Pakaiyin apaidoh paipai aum poi.
Caph. For the Lord will not cast off for ever.
32 Aman lungkhamna asosahje vang'in ami khotona dimset jeh chun angailutna ahop jinge.
Caph. For if he hath cast off, he will also have mercy, according to the multitude of his mercies.
33 Ajeh chu Pakai hi milungkham sahle alungthim sunhat peh ahi along lhaina ahipoi.
Caph. For he hath not willingly afflicted, nor cast off the children of men.
34 Mihon gamsunga songkullut hochu akelngoi tol chotpha jongle’u,
Lamed. To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the land,
35 Hitobang miho chun Pathen douna in midang chan ding dolho lahpeh jongleu,
Lamed. To turn aside the judgment of a man before the face of the most High,
36 Chuleh aman a thutan nauva achanding dol’u thudih chu chansah hih jong leu, hitiho jouse Pakaiyin amu sohkei hilou ham?
Lamed. To destroy a man wrongfully in his judgment, the Lord hath not approved.
37 Pakai phatsah louva koiham thilho hung soh doh na ding thupeh neithei ding chu?
Mem. Who is he that hath commanded a thing to be done, when the Lord commandeth it not?
38 Chungnungpen Pathen in thilpha le thilse ahin sosah ji hilou ham?
Mem. Shall not both evil and good proceed out of the mouth of the Highest?
39 Chuti ahileh mihon eiho e-chonset jeh uva engbolna e-chan jiuhi i-kiphin thei ding uham?
Mem. Why hath a living man murmured, man suffering for his sins?
40 Chuti louvin, eihon e-chonnau hi kikhuol’u hitin chuleh Pakai kom’a iki lehei kit lou diu ham?
Nun. Let us search our ways, and seek, and return to the Lord.
41 Eihon e-lung thim ule e-khut’u Van Pathen anga domsangu hitin seiju hite,
Nun. Let us lift up our hearts with our hands to the Lord in the heavens.
42 Keiho nangma dounan ka chonse tauvin nangman nei ngaidam pouvin ahi,
Nun. We have done wickedly, and provoked thee to wrath: therefore thou art inexorable.
43 Nangman nalung hanna neibuh lhah khum tauvin chuleh khotona beihelin neidel khumun nei that gam tauve.
Samech. Thou hast covered in thy wrath, and hast struck us: thou hast killed and hast not spared.
44 Mei lah’a na kiselin, katao na’u na kom ahung lhung jou tapoi,
Samech. Thou hast set a cloud before thee, that our prayer may not pass through.
45 Nangman chitin namtin laha thet le notthapin nei koitauvin ahi.
Samech. Thou hast made me as an outcast, and refuse in the midst of the people.
46 “Ka melmateuvin Keiho dounan thu asei sei jingun.
Phe. All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
47 Keiho kichat le tijatnan Ka dimset tauve, Ajeh chu keiho kimana, kisugepa amang thah kahitauve.”
Phe. Prophecy is become to us a fear, and a snare, and destruction.
48 Ka miteu kisuhmang jeh'in, Ka mitlhi’u twilon in along e!
Phe. My eye hath run down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 Kamitlhiu tanglou helin alonge; Tang lou ding ahi,
Ain. My eye is afflicted, and hath not been quiet, because there was no rest:
50 Pakaiyin Vanna konna ahin vetsuh, Ahin lainatpi tokah un,
Ain. Till the Lord regarded and looked down from the heavens.
51 Jerusalem Chanute khankho gelnan, Ka lungthim hi apohkeh ding akisa jing’e.
Ain. My eye hath wasted my soul because of all the daughters of my city.
52 Keiman kasuhset louhel galmin, Vaacha bangin eideljam e.
Sade. My enemies have chased me and caught me like a bird, without cause.
53 Kokhuh’a ei nolutun, Ka chunga song eiset khume.
Sade. My life is fallen into the pit, and they have laid a stone over me.
54 Ka luchang geiyin twiyin eichupin, “Athi ding kahitai” tin ka peng jah’e.
Sade. Waters have flowed over my head: I said: I am cut off.
55 Ahin kokhuh sunga konin, Pakai, Nangma kahin kouve.
Coph. I have called upon thy name, O Lord, from the lowest pit.
56 Nangman ka kouna najan, “Kataona nei sanpehin, Panpi ngehna a kataona nei san peh e!”
Coph. Thou hast heard my voice: turn not away thy ear from my sighs, and cries.
57 Keiman kahin kou chun nangma na hung in “kicha hih in” neiti.
Coph. Thou drewest near in the day, when I called upon thee, thou saidst: Fear not.
58 Pakai nangman ka thutanpa nahin, ka chung thu neiseipehin! Ajeh chu eihuhdoha Nang na hi.
Res. Thou hast judged, O Lord, the cause of my soul, thou the Redeemer of my life.
59 Pakai amahon ka chunga i-chan geija thilse abol’u hitam namu sohkeiye, kathu nei kholtohpihin lang, kadihna neitahlang pehin,
Res. Thou hast seen, O Lord, their iniquity against me: judge thou my judgment.
60 Ka galmiten kei douna tohgon aneiyu Nangman nahesoh keiye.
Res. Thou hast seen all their fury, and all their thoughts against me.
61 Pakai nangin eitaitomnao na jasoh keijin chuleh ka chunga thilse abolgot hou jong na hesoh keiye.
Sin. Thou hast heard their reproach, O Lord, all their imaginations against me.
62 Ka galmite ka chunga akihou un Keima dounan akihou lhi jingun ahi.
Sin. The lips of them that rise up against me: and their devices against me all the day.
63 Amaho khu ven! Atoupetu hihen adinpetu hijongle, keima nuisatna la jeng asaove.
Sin. Behold their sitting down, and their rising up, I am their song.
64 Pakai ka chunga thilse abol jouseu hi, Amaho chunga chuhsahin.
Thau. Thou shalt render them a recompense, O Lord, according to the works of their hands.
65 Amaho hi lungtahna leh sei ngailouna lungthim penlang, Achunguva sapsetna chuh sah in.
Thau. Thou shalt give them a buckler of heart, thy labour.
66 Achung uvah na lunghanna chuhsah inlang, Pakai vansem ho noi jahin amaho khu suhmang tan.
Thau. Thou shalt persecute them in anger, and shalt destroy them from under the heavens, O Lord.
