< Thutan Vaihom Ho 13 >

1 Avellin Israelten Pakai mitmun thilse jeng aboltauvin ahi. Hijeh chun Pakaiyin amaho chu Philistine te khut’ah apedoh tauvin ahileh amahon kum 40 sungin asungenthei lheh jengun ahi.
And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.
2 Hiche nikholai hin Manoah kiti Daan phungmi khat Zorah khopi sungah anachengin ahi. Ama jinu hin nao avop theipon chanei louvin aum lhonin ahi.
And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bore not.
3 Pakai vantil khat Manoah jinu komah ahung kilah in hitin aseije, “Nangma chanei theilou hellin hitih chan’in ana umjong lechun tuahi gangtah a nao nahinvop ding chapa khat nahinding ahi.
And the angel of the LORD appeared to the woman, and said to her, Behold now, you are barren, and bore not: but you shall conceive, and bear a son.
4 Hijeh chun chingtheijin, nangin ju hihenlang khamnathei dang ipi hijongleh don hihbeh in chuleh nehding kijahda thil ho chu nehih beh in.
Now therefore beware, I pray you, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
5 Nangman nao hinvop in natin chapa khat nahin ding ahi, chuleh asam navopeh louhelding ahi. Ajeh chu amachu ahung penna patna athichan geija Nazir khat hina-a Pathenna kikatdoh ding ahi. Aman Philistine tea konna Israelte ahin huhdoh ding ahi,” ati.
For, see, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
6 Hichun hiche numeinu chu alhai jellin ajipa aga hetsah tan ahi, “Pathen mikhat kakom’ah ahung kilah in, amachu Pathen vantil toh akilouvin, vetding tijat umtah ahi. Hoiya hungkon ham ti kana dongpon amanjong amin eiseipeh pon ahi.
Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came to me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not from where he was, neither told he me his name:
7 Ahinlah aman nao nahinvop ding chapa khat nahinding ahi ati. Jujong nadon louding khamnathei adang, ipi hijongleh nadon louding nehjong nanehlou ding ahi ati. Ajeh chu nachapa chu ahung penna patna athi nichan geija Nazir khat iding Pathenna kikat dohding ahi,” ati.
But he said to me, Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.
8 Hichun Manoah Pathen hengah atauvin aseitai, “Pakai, lungsettah in Pathen mipa chu avellin hungkit henlang ahung pengding chapang chungchang chu eiseipeh behen” ati.
Then Manoah entreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which you did send come again to us, and teach us what we shall do to the child that shall be born.
9 Pathen’in Manoah taona chu asangin avellin ajinu loulaija atoupetnin Pathen vantil chu ahung kilah kitnin ahi. Ahinla ajipa Manoah chu amanu komma ana umloupet ahi.
And God listened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her.
10 Hijeh chun amanu chu gangtah in ajia koma alhai jallin agaseipeh in, “Nikhatna kakomma hungkilah a chu avellin ahung kitne” ati.
And the woman made haste, and ran, and showed her husband, and said to him, Behold, the man has appeared to me, that came to me the other day.
11 Manoah chu ajinu chutoh alelhai lhonnin adongtan ahi, “Nangmahi nikhatna kajinu komma hung kilah chu nahim?” tin ana dongin ahi. Aman ahin donbut nin “kahi” ati.
And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said to him, Are you the man that spoke to the woman? And he said, I am.
12 Hijeh chun Manoah in hiti i nana dong tai, “Nathusei chu ahung guilhun teng hiche chapang chun ipi atoh dingham? chuleh itobanga hinkho amending ham?” tin ana dong tai.
And Manoah said, Now let your words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do to him?
13 Pakai Vantil chun ahin donbutnin, “Najinun atohding kaseipeh hochu phatah a ajuiding ahi,
And the angel of the LORD said to Manoah, Of all that I said to the woman let her beware.
14 Amanun lengpithei tuija kon poupou chu anehlou ding chuleh ju hihenlang khamnathei adang itobang hijongleh adonlou ding chuleh athenglou poupou chu anehlou ding ahi” ati.
She may not eat of any thing that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.
15 Hiche jouchun Manoah in Pakai Vantil komma chun aseije, “Lungsettah in keinin naneh ding kelnou khat kahin honlhon tokah in hiche ahin umtadin” ati.
And Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, I pray you, let us detain you, until we shall have made ready a kid for you.
16 Pakai Vantil chun adonbutnin “anaum nange” ahilah ima kaneh louding ahi, hijeng jongleh Pakai komma kilhaina a pumgo thilto nabolthei lhon ding ahi” ati. (Manoah chun Pakai Vantil chu Pakai ahilam ahetlou ahi).
And the angel of the LORD said to Manoah, Though you detain me, I will not eat of your bread: and if you will offer a burnt offering, you must offer it to the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.
17 Hichun Manoah in Pakai Vantil komma chun “Namin ipi ham?” tin anadongin ahi. Ajeh chu hicheho jousehi ahung guilhun tengleh keinin naming hi kajabol thei lhonna dingin” ati.
And Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, What is your name, that when your sayings come to pass we may do you honor?
18 Pakai Vantil chun adonbutnin, “Ipi dinga kamin neidoh ham? Nangin nahet dinga kidang val ding ahi” ati.
And the angel of the LORD said to him, Why ask you thus after my name, seeing it is secret?
19 Hichun Manoah in kelnou khat toh lousoh ga themkhat toh ahin choijin song chunga chun Pakai kommah pumgo thilto din atohdoh lhontan ahi. Chutia chu Manoah teni nupan avetpet lhonchun Pakai chun thil kidang tah aboldoh tan ahi.
So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it on a rock to the LORD: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.
20 Hichea maichamma konna meikong chu vanlanga akontou phat chun Pakai Vantil jongchu meikong lah a chun akaltou tan ahi. Manoah leh ajinun hichu amu lhon phatnin abohkhup lhonnin jana apelhon tai.
For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
21 Vantil chu Manoah te nupa kommah avellin ahung kilah kittapon ahi. Hichun Manoah chun Pakai Vantil chu Pakai ahiti ahedoh tai.
But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.
22 Aman ajinu kommah hitin aseije, “Eini ithi teitei ding ahitai ajeh chu einin Pathen imulhon tan ahi” akiti lhon tan ahi.
And Manoah said to his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.
23 Ahinlah ajinun, “Pakai chun eitha lhon ding ahilah kelnou leh lhosoh ga chu sangponte, aman eini komma jong hung kilah louding eini komma hitobang hojong abollou ding ahi” ati.
But his wife said to him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.
24 Achapa chu ahungso phatnin amanun jong amin Samson asahtai, chuleh amachu ahung khanlet to kilhonin Pakaiyin phatthei aboh in ahi.
And the woman bore a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.
25 Ama Zorah leh Eshtaol khopi teni kikah a Mahaneh-dan munna achen petnin Pathen lhagaovin amachu ahin hatdohsah tan ahi.
And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.
