< Job 24 >

1 Ipi dinga Hatchungung pan migiloute khu thutanna munna dinga ahin pui lou ham? Ipi dinga Pathen ging ten panna beija ama anga nga diu ham?
But why have the seasons been hidden from the Lord,
2 Miphalou ten gamgi melchihna achonun gam leiset agu jiuve. Amahon gancha akiguh uvin chuleh amaho gamsunga hamhing lah a alhalut uve.
while the ungodly have passed over the bound, carrying off the flock with the shepherd?
3 Amahon chagate sangan akilah un meithai ho bangchal bat man na apeh diuvin angeh jiuve.
They have led away, the ass of the fatherless, and taken the widow's ox for a pledge.
4 Mivaichate chu lampam ah asondoh un migiloute chu ahoidoh nadiuvin akisel khom jiuve.
They have turned aside the weak from the right way: and the meek of the earth have hidden themselves together.
5 Gamlah sangan ho gammang lah a aum bangin mivaichaten aphat jouseu neh ding holnan amangun achateu neh ding nelgam sanna aga hol uve.
And they have departed like asses in the field, having gone forth on my account according to their own order: his bread is sweet to [his] little ones.
6 Amaho a hilou loujau lah a chang a-at jiuvin chule migiloute lengpilei lah a akhai achomkhom uve.
They have reaped a field that was not their own before the time: the poor have laboured in the vineyards of the ungodly without pay and without food.
7 Jan khovah vah'in daplah ah akeuvun ponbeijin ahiloule kikhukhum ding neilouvin alum jiuve.
They have caused many naked to sleep without clothes, and they have taken away the covering of their body.
8 Amaho chun molla konna hung phinlha gotwijin akot soh jiuvin chule chenna in ngaichan songpi bel din alhai khom jiuve.
They are wet with the drops of the mountains: they have embraced the rock, because they had no shelter.
9 Migilou ten meithai ho chasen chu anu oplhanga konin aloilhah peh un nausen ho chu thil manna tun din alahpeh jiuve.
They have snatched the fatherless from the breast, and have afflicted the outcast.
10 Mivaichate chu ponsil beijin akeuvun acheleuvin amaho tah anngol pumin midang ding chang a atkhom peh uve.
And they have wrongfully caused [others] to sleep without clothing, and taken away the morsel of the hungry.
11 Amahon Olive thau achil lhauvin ahinlah atep diu jong akiphal peh pouve, chule dangchah thohpum pumin lengpi thei hehna khol ah na atohsah uve.
They have unrighteously laid wait in narrow places, and have not known the righteous way.
12 Khopi a konin mithi ding kon ho ahung pengdoh uvin chule maha pu hon kithopi ngaichan akap uve. Ahivangin Pathen in ataonau imachan agelpeh poi.
Who have cast forth [the] poor from the city and their own houses, and the soul of the children has groaned aloud.
13 Migiloute chun khovah adouvun, amahon alampi hetpeh ding anom pouvin ahiloule alampi a jong aum pouve.
Why then has he not visited these? forasmuch as they were upon the earth, and took no notice, and they knew not the way of righteousness, neither have they walked in their [appointed] paths?
14 Mivaicha ho leh mi genthei ho that dingin tolthat ho chu jingpi phal vah'in athou jiuvin jan teng amapa chu guchan apang jin ahi.
But having known their works, he delivered them into darkness: and in the night one will be as a thief:
15 Numei jon pipan khomut chip chep angah jin hiche phat chuleh koiman eimu taponte atin koiman ahetdoh louna dingin amai asel jin ahi.
and the eye of the adulterer has watched [for] the darkness, saying, Eye shall not perceive me, and he puts a covering on his face.
16 Migucha ho chun jan tengle mi in asuse jiuvin chuleh sun leh a ihmu jiuve. Amaho chu khovah toh kihekha lou ahiuve.
In darkness he digs through houses: by day they conceal themselves securely: they know not the light.
17 Jan muthim chu amaho din jingkah ahin amaho tah hi khojin kichatna toh kijopmat ahiuve.
For the morning is to them all [as] the shadow of death, for [each] will be conscious of the terror of the shadow of death.
18 Ahinlah amaho hi twinoi langa twihu bangin amang ji tauve, athilnei jouseu hi gaosapna ahi chule amaho alengpi lei uva alut diu jong akichauve.
He is swift on the face of the water: let his portion be cursed on the earth; and let their plants be laid bare.
19 Nichangsat leh sat in buhbang twi amanchah banga lhankhuh in jong michonse ho amanchah ahi. (Sheol h7585)
[Let them be] withered upon the earth; for they have plundered the sheaves of the fatherless. (Sheol h7585)
20 Ahingnu tah'un jong hin sumil untin than hon amaho chu twitah in hin neuvin tin, koima chan amaho chu geldoh tapouvin te. Migiloute chu huipi gopin thingphung amutlhuh tobang hiuvinte.
Then is his sin brought to remembrance, and he vanishes like a vapour of dew: but let what he has done be recompensed to him, and let every unrighteous one be crushed like rotten wood.
21 Kithopi ding chapa neilou meithai ho alhemlha jiuvin meithai gentheiho kithopi ding amaho anom pouve.
For he has not treated the barren woman well, and has had no pity on a feeble woman.
22 Pathen thanei nan miho chu akaimang jin amaho chu kichoisang maithei unte, ahinlah ahinkhou iti ding ham ti hetchetna anei pouve.
And in wrath he has overthrown the helpless: therefore when he has arisen, [a man] will not feel secure of his own life.
23 Amahohi lungmong tah a ahin diu kiphal peh jeng jongleh Pathen in amaho chu avelhi jing jenge.
When he has fallen sick, let him not hope to recover: but let him perish by disease.
24 Chuleh tuhin amaho hi oupe lheh jong leu mitphet kah louvin adangho bangin che mang tauvin tin, changvui bangin satlhah in um uvinte.
For his exaltation has hurt many; but he has withered as mallows in the heat, or as an ear of corn falling off of itself from the stalk.
25 Ahilou jongleh khat touvin achu thei ham? Koipen in kadih louna aphotchet thei ding ham?
But if not, who is he that says I speak falsely, and will make my words of no account?
