Isaiah 9
1 Hijengjongle hiche boina meipi jin le phat-hahsa chu tonsot geiya chelhajinglou ding ahi. Zebulun le Naphtali gamkai chu hung kineosahtantin, hinla Galilee a Gentile, Jordan lui le Twipi kikah-a lamlen pangdunga chengte chu loupina chang diu ahi.
Yet the darkenesse shall not be according to the affliction that it had when at the first hee touched lightly the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, nor afteward when he was more grieuous by the way of the sea beyond Iorden in Galile of the Gentiles.
2 Muthima vahle mite chun vah loupitah amudiu ahi. Ajehchu hiche gam'a muthim thuhtah'a chengho laha chu vah hung vah-emsel ding ahi.
The people that walked in darkenes haue seene a great light: they that dwelled in the land of the shadowe of death, vpon them hath the light shined.
3 Nanghon Israel nampi chu nakehlet diu, chuteng amipiho chu kipah thanom diu ahi. Amaho chu lou lholhun laiya loubol-ho akipa thanopmuva, galjouhon neile gou achomhou akihopkhenuva akipa thanop banguva nangho masanga kipah thanom diu ahi.
Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased their ioye: they haue reioyced before thee according to the ioye in haruest, and as men reioyce when they deuide a spoyle.
4 Ijeh-inem itileh asoh namkoljon’u chu nahebohpehtan chuleh alengkou-uva apohgihhou nadoplhahpehuva, Midian galsat sepaiho nasatlhuh banga abolgentheipau tenggol jong nahebohpeh ding ahi.
For the yoke of their burthen, and the staffe of their shoulder and the rod of their oppressour hast thou broken as in the day of Midian.
5 Gal thisan nat galsat-ho kengkoh le agalvonhou jong meiya hallhuma umsoh ding, hiho chu mei chapkouva pang diu ahi.
Surely euery battell of the warriour is with noyse, and with tumbling of garments in blood: but this shall be with burning and deuouring of fire.
6 Ijeh-inem itileh eiho dingin naosen khat apengtan, chapa khat eikipetauve. Gamvaipoten Ama lengkouva thunei vaihopna angaplhah diu ahi. Chuleh Ama chu Thumopthem kidangtah, Hatchungnung Pathen, Tonsot Mipa, Chamna Lengpa kitiding ahi.
For vnto vs a childe is borne, and vnto vs a Sonne is giuen: and the gouernement is vpon his shoulder, and he shall call his name Wonderfull, Counseller, The mightie God, The euerlasting Father, The prince of peace,
7 Agamvaipoh le chamna chu beitih umtalou ding, Ama’n apului David laltouna-a kon’a thudih le thutah'a tonsot geiya vai ahom ding ahi. Hitia chu Van galsatte Pakai tompanna jal'a thil hunglhung ding ahi.
The increase of his gouernement and peace shall haue none end: he shall sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and vpon his kingdome, to order it, and to stablish it with iudgement and with iustice, from hencefoorth, euen for euer: the zeale of the Lord of hostes will performe this.
8 Pakai chun Jacob dounan thu aseitan; athutanna chu Israel chungah alhutai.
The Lord hath sent a worde into Iaakob, and it hath lighted vpon Israel.
9 Israel mite le Samaria mite kiletsahtah le kihisahtaha thuseiho chun kihetloiyuhen.
And all the people shall knowe, euen Ephraim, and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and presumption of the heart,
10 Amahon, “Chehlhang achimlhaho chu songpeh-in saphau hitin, theiba thingho chu kisatbong gam jongleh, cedar thingin lhenguhite,” tiin aseiyui.
The brickes are fallen, but we will build it with hewen stones: the wilde figge trees are cut downe, but we will change them into ceders.
11 Hinla Pakaiyin Rezin melmate chu Israel dou dinga ahin puiya amelmateu jouse ahin tildoh ding ahi.
Neuerthelesse the Lord will raise vp the aduersaries of Rezin against him, and ioyne his enemies together.
12 Solama kon Syriate, chule lhumlama kon Philistine-techu panguva, Israel chu avallhum diu ahi. Ahijengvanga Pakai lunghanna dailhadehlou lai ding ahi. Akhuttum jetsa-a alap jing nahlai ding ahi.
Aram before and the Philistims behinde, and they shall deuoure Israel with open mouth: yet for all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
13 Hitobang suhgimna athoh vanguvin Pakai henga kisih-in kile kit pouvinte. Van galsatte Pakai chu ahol dehlou lai diu ahi.
For the people turneth not vnto him that smiteth them, neither doe they seeke the Lord of hostes.
14 Hijeha chu Pakaiyin alua pat amei geiya lusu-bahho le pumpengho nikhatleh asatlhah ding ahi.
Therefore will the Lord cut off from Israel head and taile, branche and rush in one day.
15 Israel lamkaiho chu alu ahi’n, themgaoho chu amei ahi.
The ancient and the honorable man, he is the head: and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the taile.
16 Ijeh-inem itileh mipi lamkaiho chun mipi apuikhel tauvin, amaho chun manthahna lampiah apuiyun ahi.
For the leaders of the people cause them to erre: and they that are led by them are deuoured.
17 Hijeha chu Pakaiyin gollhangho le meithaiho chuleh naochagaho chung kisan’a hepina beihella alha ding ahi. Ajehchu amaho chu miphalou le miphalhemho ahiuvin chuleh ngolhoithu jeng aseiyui. Pakai lunghanna jong chimtheilouva, talen matsah dinga akhuttum jetsa-a umnalai ding ahi.
Therefore shall the Lord haue no pleasure in their yong men, neither will he haue compassion of their fatherlesse and of their widowes: for euery one is an hypocrite and wicked, and euery mouth speaketh follie: yet for all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out stil.
18 Akhohset ding dan chu gam-meika tobang ahi. Ling le khaoho jeng akahlhah seh hilouva agammang pumpi akah chaisohhel jeng ding ahi. Agam meikah-a kon chunglama meikhu kitungtou jeng ding ahi
For wickednesse burneth as a fire: it deuoureth the briers and the thornes and will kindle in the thicke places of the forest: and they shall mount vp like the lifting vp of smoke.
19 Van galsatte Pakai lunghanna chun agamlei chu kavomsoh-intin, mite chu mei deo jeju lah-a kihallhumuntin, koiman apenpi asopi jeng jong ahoidohlou ding ahi.
By the wrath of the Lord of hostes shall the land be darkened, and the people shall be as the meate of ye fire: no man shall spare his brother.
20 Ainkengteu khutjetlama anokhumuva, ahiala gilkel jing nalai diu ahi. Veilama ainkengteu amaitho jenguva avallhum diu, ahiala agilkelnau oiva dehlou ding, achaina leh achateu jeng jong anehchai diu ahi.
And he shall snatch at the right hand, and be hungrie: and he shall eate on the left hand, and shall not be satisfied: euery one shall eate ye flesh of his owne arme.
21 Manasseh chu Ephraim’in avahva ding, Ephraim chu Manasseh-in avahva ding, Chuleh pangkhom lhon’a Judah avallhum lhon ding ahi. Ahijengvanga Van galsatte Pakai lunghanna dailhadeh ponte. Akhuttum jetsa-a umnalai ding ahi.
Manasseh, Ephraim: and Ephraim Manasseh, and they both shall be against Iudah yet for all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
