< Isaiah 53 >

1 Kathupoh’u koi atahsan’a um'em? Pakaiyin abanthahat koi koma atah lang em?
Who has believed our message? To whom has the arm of Adonai been revealed?
2 Ka lhacha chu Pakai ang sunga ham jih engsel tobang ahin, tolgo laiya ajung hung dondoh tobang ahije. Agongso jong gahvet dinga ahoina ahilouleh adang lamna, eiho ilunglutna thei’u aumpoi.
For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 Ama chu nahsahmo le deilouvin aumin, lung khamna mipa, lunghemna to kitho ahi. dimset ahi. Eihon inung lam’u Ama langa ipeuvin, achomlam ingat’uvin ahi. Ama chu nahsahmon aumin, chule eihon iman igelkhoh pouve.
He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of suffering, and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.
4 Hijongleh eima ho lhah samna Aman apon, eimaho lung khamna chu Aman apohgih ahije. Chule eihon Pathen gimbolna athoh hi Ama chonsetna jeh le aboina ho jeh in igel tauve.
Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.
5 Hinla ama thingkil’a akikilna ho chu dou lung iput jeh’u ahin, ichonsetna hou jeh’a kisugepma ahin, idam theina dinguva Ama chu molla avoh’u ahin, Ama ajepnau jal'a chu eiho eikisudam’uva ahitai.
But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his stripes and wounds we are healed and made whole.
6 Eimaho jouse kelngoi ho tobang’a vahmang ‘a ihitauve, eimaho lungchama chonna dinga Pathen lampi idalhah’u ahitai. Hijongleh Pakaiyin Achunga ichonsetna ho jou seu angam lhatai.
All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Adonai has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 Ama chu agimbol’uvin, chule abolseuve, ahijeng vang'in Amahin imacha aseipoi. Ama chu kelngoi nou akithana ding muna kipuile to abangin, chule kelngoi amul vouho koma thip khen cha aum tobang'in, Akam jong akehpoi.
He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he didn’t open his mouth.
8 Dihloutah in themo achanuvin, apuimang tauve. Achilhah simthei ding neilou ahi koiman agelkhoh pehpon, akhang hoi lai tah in Ama chu akisat lhatai. Hinla kamite dou lungput jallin Ama chu akivolhu jenge.
After forcible arrest and sentencing, he was taken away; and none of his generation protested his being cut off out of the land of the living for the crimes of my people, who deserved the punishment themselves.
9 Aman suhkhel aneipon, chule koima duha’a abol aumpoi. Ama chu tolthat bangin athat’uvin chule mihaupa lhankhuh’a akivuije.
They made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Hinla hichu Pakai tohgon pha ahi jal'a Ama chu kigot chepma, chule lung hemna kipea ahi. Hijongleh ahinkho chu chonset jeh’a kikatdoh’a ahin, Aman chilhah tamtah ahinnei ding, hinkho sotna nom asah ding, chule Pakaiyin thilpha agon chu akhutna hung lolhing ding ahi.
Yet it pleased Adonai to bruise him. He has caused him to suffer. To see if he would present himself as a guilt offering. If he does, he will see his offspring, and he will prolong his days, and Adonai’s pleasure will prosper in his hand.
11 Aman athohgimna ho ga chu amu tengleh lungna kimna neitante. Chule athilto jeh jal'a hi kasoh chondih tahpa chun mi tamtah chonpha asem ding, ajeh chu Ama’n achonset nau jouse apoh mang ding ahi.
After this ordeal, he will see satisfaction “By his knowing [pain and sacrifice]. My righteous servant will justify many; for it is their sins that he suffers.
12 Aman thina geija ahung to’a athoh tah jeh in, keiman galjona gal lamkai jabolna chu kapeh ding ahi. Ama jong dougal bol ho lah’a simtha ahitah jeh in, Aman mi tamtah chonset apon, chule dou gal bol ho dingin ataopeh in ahi.
Therefore will I give him a portion with the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong; because he exposed himself to death, and was counted with the transgressors; while actually bearing the sin of many, and interceding for the offenders.
