< Isaiah 42 >

1 Kalhachapa, keiman thahatna kapeh pachu veuvin. Ama kadeilhenpa eilung lhaipen’a chu ahi. Keiman Kalhagao asunga kakhumpeh tai. Aman chitin-namtin lah’a thu adih’a atan ding ahi.
“Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delights— I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring mishpat ·justice· to the nations.
2 Aman kho sampon tin, mipi lah’a jong aw sanga thu aseilou ding ahi.
He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be sh'ma ·heard· in the street.
3 Aman pumpeng chip jong ahebohpai lou ding chule khoilu thaomeipat akhulai jong asuhmit pai jeng lou ding ahi. Aman alamlouva kibol ho jong abonchauva chunga thu adih’a atan ding ahi.
He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring mishpat ·justice·.
4 Leiset pumpia thu adih’a vaihomna aum masang sea, Ama lhasam pontin, lung jong lunglha lou ding ahi. Gamla tah’a gamho twikhanglen gal lama hon jong ama thupeh anga diu ahi.
He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set mishpat ·justice· in the earth, and the islands will wait for his torot ·teachings·.”
5 Pakai Pathen’in vanho asem’in chule apha jal lin ahi. Aman leiset le asunga umjouse asem’in ahi. Ama’n mi jouse haitheina hu ape’in, leiset chunga vahthei jouse hinna apeh ahi.
Thus says God Adonai, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it.
6 Pakai kiti Keima, kachonphatna vetsah dinga kakou nahi. Keiman nangma kakhutna kapuija chule kahonbit nahin, chule kamite Israel te henga kapeh nahi hi keima toh amaho kakitepna vetsahna khat ahitai. Chule nangma chitin-namtin puihoi lea napan ding ahije.
“I, Adonai, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and make you a covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· for the people, as a light for the nations;
7 Nangman mitcho ho kho namusah ding, sohchang ho songkulla konna nacham lhatsah ding chule songkul thim lah’a touho chamlhat sah ding nahi.
to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison.
8 Keima Pakai kitipa chu Kamin ahi! Ka loupina chu koima dang kapehdoh lou ding, chule eivahchoi nau semthu milim ho chuto chan kaneitha lou ding ahi.
“I am Adonai. That is my name. I will not give my kavod ·weighty glory· to another, nor my tehilah ·praise song· to engraved images.
9 Gao thuseina kanei chasun aguilhung cheh in, chule tun keiman gao thu kasei kit ding ahi. Ahung guilhun masanga khonung thudol kaseipeh ding nahi.
Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I sh'ma ·hear obey, declare· to you about them before they come up.”
10 Pakaija lathah sauvin! Ama vahchoina ho leiset kolning lia chenghon sauvin! Twikhang len hoa kongtol ho le nangho twikol gam mun gam latah’a chengho geijin jong nabonchauvin la sauvin.
Sing to Adonai a new song, and his tehilah ·praise song· from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is therein, the islands and their inhabitants.
11 Gamthipma um khopiho lachom kisahna’a jao’uvin; Kedar khoho jong kipah uhen. Sela mite hon kipah in la sauhen; lhangchung vum hoa konin vahchoina ho sap thouvin!
Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices, with the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains!
12 Vannoi pumpin Pakai chu loupina peuhen; Avahchoina sauhen.
Let them give kavod ·weighty glory· to Adonai, and declare his tehilah ·praise song· in the islands.
13 Mihat chungnung tah tobang'in PAKAIchu kipandoh intin, galsatpa tobanga lunghang tah’a kondoh ding ahi. Aman galsatna dinga kholhang asapma, amelmate jouse achilgoi ding ahi.
Adonai will go out like a mighty man. He will stir up zeal like a man of war. He will raise a war cry. Yes, he will shout aloud. He will triumph over his enemies.
14 Ama’n, Keima sottahpi kathip beh anahita’n, ahinai, keima hi kana kikangse anahi. Hinla tua hi naosonat thoh minu khat tobanga kapenna chule kakhoisatna, chule ka-eo’jah jeng ding ahitai.
“I have been silent a long time. I have been quiet and restrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant.
15 Keiman lhangsang ho le mol ho chu kasuhcham ding chule a’eng jin jen ho kasuhmangpeh ding ahi. Keiman vadung ho chu tolgolai kaso ding chule twi kiveina mun jouse chu kangsoh ding ahiuve.
I will destroy mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs. I will make the rivers islands, and will dry up the pools.
16 Keiman khomulou Israel chu lampi thah’a kapuile ding, ache khahlou nauva kapui le ding ahi. Keiman amasangu lampi thim jong kavahsah ding, chule amasangu lampi kanamsah ding ahi. Hitia hi keiman hichengse hi kabol ding, amaho kanungsun lou dingu ahi.
I will bring the blind by a way that they don’t know. I will lead them in paths that they don’t know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them.
17 Hinla semthu milim tahsan ho, nangho ka pathenu nahi tiho chu, jacha’a kihei mang ding ahiuve.
“Those who trust in engraved images, who tell molten images, ‘You are our deities’ will be turned back. They will be utterly disappointed.
18 Na’ngong hon ngaijun, mitcho nang hon veuvin, muchen’un.
“Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see.
19 Kamite, tobanga mitchoa kasoh, koi um’em? Ka sottol tobanga na ngonga koi umem? Kalhendoh mite, Pakai sohpa, tobanga mitcho koi um’em?
Who is blind, but my servant? Or who is as deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is as blind as he who is at peace, and as blind as Adonai’s servant?
20 Nangman adih chu ipi ham? ti namun chule nahedoh jengin, hinla hiche chu nabolnom hih in ahi. Na nabeng’a najanai, hinla jahchet ding nagopoi.
You see many things, but don’t observe. His ears are open, but he does not sh'ma ·hear obey·.
21 Pakai chu chondih tah ahijeh'in, Athu loupitah chu achoi’an tai.
It pleased Adonai, for his righteousness’ sake, to magnify the Torah ·Teaching·, and make it honorable.
22 Hinla Amite chu aneiju achom’un chule asuhmang peh’un, asohchang un, songkul'a’a ahenun, chule thang kolla a’oh gam tauve.
But this is a robbed and plundered people. All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prisons. They have become captives, and no one delivers; and a plunder, and no one says, ‘Restore them!’
23 Hiche thuhi koijin thusim’a kona angaija, ahetdoh thei’ uva chule khonunga thil hung kisumang dingho nanga diu ham?
Who is there among you who will give ear to this? Who will listen and sh'ma ·hear obey· for the time to come?
24 Israel chu chomgam dingle suhkhah dinga phatsah koi ham? Ama douna’a ichonset jeh’uva Pakai chun aphal jeh ahi. Ajeh chu miho chu Alamlhah a che nom hih’uva, A Danthu jong ajui nom lou jeh’u ahi.
Who gave Jacob [Supplanter] as plunder, and Israel [God prevails] to the robbers? Didn’t Adonai, he against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in his ways, and they did not sh'ma ·hear obey· his Torah ·Teaching·.
25 Hijeh’a hi Alunghanna chu achunguva abuhlhah’a, chule gal’a atha’u ahi. Amaho chu meilhum sunga akilelut jeng vanguvin, hetdoh ding agopouve. Amaho meikouva akihal jeng vang’un, chihnan aneideh pouve.
Therefore he poured the fierceness of his anger on him, and the strength of battle; and it set him on fire all around, but he didn’t know; and it burned him, but he didn’t take it to heart.”
