< Isaiah 16 >

1 Gamsung vaipo kai pehdin kelngoinou ho chu hin sol’un sela akonin. Nelgam akon zion molsang gei adin hin solun.
Send the lambs for the ruler of the land from Selah ·contemplation with musical interlude· to the wilderness, to the mountain of the daughter of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking].
2 Moab numei ho chu Arnon vadung palgal kaina adong lai achun vacha buh neilou bangin dalhah in aumun ahi.
For it will be that as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Moab [From father] be at the fords of the Arnon.
3 “Nei panpiu vin,” tin apengun ahi.” Neihuhdoh un kagal mi teu akonin. Lungsetna beija gal eisat hoa konin nei vengbit un. Kapel doh tah jeh un tun nei lhem tahih un.
Give counsel! Execute justice! Make your shade like the night in the middle of the noonday! Hide the outcasts! Don’t betray the fugitive!
4 Ka mite galjam ho chu nalah uva umuhen kichat tijat beikah in galmi ho akonin anasel tup un.” Kibolgim naleh manthahna ahung kichai teng, galmi mibulu ho a manthah teng uleh,
Let my outcasts dwell with you! As for Moab [From father], be a hiding place for him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortionist is brought to nothing. Destruction ceases. The oppressors are consumed out of the land.
5 Pathenin David khanggui akona leng khat ahin tun doh ding ahi. Amachun hepinaleh thutah'a vai ahom ding ahi. Adih chu ipiham aman abol jing ding, chuleh thilpha bolding alungvil ten ding ahi.
A throne will be established in cheshed ·loving-kindness·. One will sit on it in truth, in the tent of David [Beloved], judging, seeking mishpat ·justice·, and swift to do righteousness.
6 Moab kiletsah dan chu kana jaove- akiletsah nao, ahoithonao leh angolnao. Ahin akisonnao jouse amang gam tan ahi.
We have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· of the pride of Moab [From father], that he is very proud; even of his arrogance, his pride, and his wrath. His boastings are nothing.
7 Moab gamsung mijouse akap un ahi. Ahin, Moab a cheng mijousen a puldou uve, Kir-hareseth akon lengpithei agop tan ahi. Tuhin a umgam tapouve.
Therefore Moab [From father] will wail for Moab [From father]. Everyone will wail. You will mourn for the raisin cakes of Kir Hareseth, utterly stricken.
8 Heshbon a louho dalhah in a umtan; Sibmah a lengpilei hojong dalhah in a umtai chitin namtin chunga vaihom hon Moab asukeh taove-hoitah tah lengpithei gui ho chu. Akhaogui sah langa patnin Jazer khosung gei jin akiphan, solam gamthip gamgei jin a kikhai lha in ahi. Ajihdon lhumlam gei aphan, twikhanglen gal a ajam gal kai tao ve.
For the fields of Heshbon languish with the vine of Sibmah. The lords of the nations have broken down its choice branches, which reached even to Jazer, which wandered into the wilderness. Its shoots were spread abroad. They passed over the sea.
9 Hijeh chun tun keiman Jazer leh Sibmah lengpilei kaka pitai; ka mitlhi twi Heshbon leh Eleahleh a din along'e. Nipi laiya honga louga khoptup jeh a kipana lhangsap jong aum tapoi.
Therefore I will weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah. I will water you with my tears, Heshbon, and Elealeh: for on your summer fruits and on your harvest the battle shout has fallen.
10 Kipana chu tun a umtapoi, neh khoptup jeh a kipana aumtapoi. Lengpilei sunga lasah jong umtapon tin, kipana lhangsap jong um taponte, lengpitwi’a akipanao jouse kasuh hai peh ahitai.
Gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there will be no singing, neither joyful noise. Nobody will tread out wine in the presses. I have made the shouting stop.
11 Selangdah tuma puldou va akimao banga Moab adinga ka lungsung kap ahi. Kir-hareseth adin lunggenthei in kadimin ahi.
Therefore my heart sounds like a harp for Moab [From father], and my inward parts for Kir Heres.
12 Moab miten a houin uva milim hin houvun tin, ahin imacha phachom louding ahi. A pathen koma kap un tin, ahin koima chan amaho ahuhdoh louding ahi.
It will happen that when Moab [From father] presents himself, when he wearies himself on the high place, and comes to his sanctuary to pray, that he will not prevail.
13 Hiche thudol ho Pakai in phat masa peh a anasei doh ahitai.
This is the word that Adonai spoke concerning Moab [From father] in time past.
14 Ahin tun Pakai in aseije, “Kumthum sunga nisim a simin, Moab loupina chu bei ding ahi. Michujat a kona mi lhomcha bou ahinga kidalha diu ahi.
But now Adonai has spoken, saying, “Within three years, as a worker bound by contract would count them, the glory of Moab [From father] shall be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude; and the remnant will be very small and feeble.”
