Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name [was] Keturah.
2 Amanu chun cha hicheng hi ahing in, amaho se chu Zimran ahin, Jokshan ahin, Medan ahin, Ishbak ahin, chule Shuak ahiuvin;
And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
3 Jokshan chun Sheba le Dedan ahingin, Dedan chilhah ho chu ahile Assurite ho ahin, Leteshite ho ahin, chule Leumimite jouse jong ahiuve.
And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
4 Midian chate ho chu Ephah ahin, Epher ahin, Hannoch ahin, Abida ahin chule Eldaah amaho jouse hi Abraham cha Keturah a konna peng ahiuve.
And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these [were] the children of Keturah.
5 Chule Abraham'in anei jouse achapa Isaac chu apetan ahi.
And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
6 Amavang Abraham'in athi masang in aji kopte cha ho jouse jong thilpeh anei soh keiyin chule nisolam gamma abon'un aki in chonsah tai.
But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.
7 Abraham chu kum jakhat le kum som sagi le kum nga alhing in;
And these [are] the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.
8 Hichun Abraham kum sottah ahing in lolhing tah in ahinkho amang in aleiset hinkho abeitai, chuin ama apu apa amite to akivui thatai.
Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full [of years; ] and was gathered to his people.
9 Chule achate ni Isaac le Ishmael in apa lhon Abraham chu songlhan keova Machpelah achun avui lhon tai. Hichu Mamre kom ahin hiche mun chu Ephron chapa Zohar Hittites ho komma kicho doh anahi.
And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which [is] before Mamre;
10 Hiche gam hi Abraham'in Hite mite ho koma a inneipi Sarah kivuina dinga ana choh doh mun chu ahi.
The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
11 Abraham thijou chun, Pathen in hatah in Isaac chu Beerlahoi-roi Negev mun a phatthei abohtan ahi.
And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.
12 Hiche hohi Ishmael chilhah Abraham chapa Hagar a kona hung peng Egypt mite numei Sarah sohnu akon ahi.
Now these [are] the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
13 Anoija hohi Ishmael chilhah amin, anam, aphung dungyui ja kipe, apeng masa penpa Nebaioth ahin, Kedar ahin, Adbeel ahin, Mibsam ahin,
And these [are] the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
14 Mishma ahin, Damah ahin, Masah ahin,
And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
15 Hadard ahin, Tema ahin, Jetur ahin Naphish ahin chule Kedarmah hicheng hi ahiuve.
Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
16 Hichengse hi Ishmael chapate ahiuvin, aminu jong akhotin a kisem a chuleh a ngahmun dung-juiya akilah le aphung khaijin haosa chapa cheh som le ni alhing uve.
These [are] the sons of Ishmael, and these [are] their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.
17 Chule Ishmael chu kum jakhat le kum somthum le kum sagi ahing in, chuin ama aleiset hinkho abeitan hichun apu apate along lup naova ama jong akichol dotai.
And these [are] the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.
18 Chule Ishmael chilhahte chun gam leiset Havilah apat Shur chan gei alodim un, hiche hi Assyria gam jotna Egypt gamto kinai Asshur ahung kipan ahi. Amaho chu asopi ule nao hotoh kivet dagunset in ana umjing uve.
And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that [is] before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: [and] he died in the presence of all his brethren.
19 Hiche hi Isaac Abraham chapa insung chilhah thusim ahi.
And these [are] the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham begat Isaac:
20 Chuin Isaac kum som li alhin in aji ding in Rebekah Paddan- Ram gam'a Bethuel chanu Aramean mi Laban sopinu chu a kipuiyin ahi.
And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
21 Isaac ajinu ding in Pathen heng'a ataovin ahi, ajeh chu aching in cha neilouva aum phat in, hichun Pathen'in Isaac taona chu asan pehtan ahile Rebekah chu ahung kikopmo tan naosen ni ahung kijil tan ahi.
And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she [was] barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22 Hinlah naosen teni chu anu naobu sunga ahung kiboi jing lhonin hichun amanu Pathen dong dingin achen hiche hi itidan ham? ati.
And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If [it be] so, why [am] I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
23 Pathen in amanu ahoulim pi in “naobu sunga naocha teni chu nampi ni hung hiding hiche nam teni hi abulla patna hung kitoh mo peh lhon ding ahi, nam teni lah a khat hung hat intin, nacha teni lah a aupan anaopa chu ahin jenle ding ahi”.
And the LORD said unto her, Two nations [are] in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and [the one] people shall be stronger than [the other] people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
24 Chuin naonei na ding phat ahung lhin chun Rebekah in naoni avop chu ahin kihet chen bep'in ahi.
And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, [there were] twins in her womb.
25 Chuin ahung peng masa pachu asanin atahsa pumpi chu amul in atom in hichun ama chu Esau asah tauvin ahi.
And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
26 Phat chomkhat jou chun asopipa ahung peng lhatan akhut teni a chun a upa keng atuh chah kheh in, Hichea chu amapa min chu Jacob asah un, ajinun amani ahin peh pet hin Isaac chu kum som gup ana lhingtai.
And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac [was] threescore years old when she bare them.
27 Chapang teni chu ahung khanglen lhonin, Esau chu gamleng sakap them gam vahmi ahung hikhan, Jacob vang chu mi mong khat ahin pondal buh a umjing mi ahi.
And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob [was] a plain man, dwelling in tents.
28 Isaac in Esau chu hatah in angailun ahi, Ajeh chu asa delsa ahin poh lut aneh jing jeh in, Hinlahh Rebekah in Jacob chu alungset lheh in ahi.
And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of [his] venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
29 Nikhat chu Jacob in changchim ahon pet in Esau chu agamlen na a konin ahung lhung in, nasa tahin agil akeltan atha alhasam lheh tan ahi.
And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he [was] faint:
30 Hijeh chun Esau in Jacob jah ahitin asei tai, “Kagil akel valtai na changchim hon salenglung chu them khat neipe tan” ati. Hijeh a chu amapa min Edom kisah ahi.
And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage; ] for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
31 Aphai, tin Jacob in adonbut in, “Amasa pen in na upat nahina chu neipe doh tan,” ati.
And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
32 Esau in hitin aseiye, “Keima gilkella thi dinga um ka hitan hiche mi upa chu ipi kaphat chom pi ding ham?”
And Esau said, Behold, I [am] at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
33 Jacob in asei kit in, “Amasa pen a naki hahsel angaiye,” hichun Esau chu aki hahsel tan mi upa ahina chu Jacob komma akijoh doh tai.
And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34 Hichun Jacob in Esau chu changlhah toh chang-noi apetan hichun aman anevan adon chim set'in akithou doh in achetai, Hichun Esau in mi upa ahina chu akijoh dohtai.
Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised [his] birthright.
