< Daniel 10 >

1 Persiate leng, Cyrus kitipa, leng chankal kumthum lhinkumin, Belteshazzar jong kisah Daniel chun, themgao thilmu in mu aneikitin ahi. Aman hichea athilmu chu, khonunga hesoh gentheina leh gal nasatah phat hung lhung tei ding, kiphong doh ahi, ti ahetai.
IN the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
2 Hiche themgao thilmua mu kanei laitah chun, Daniel keima, hapta thum lhingset lunghem puldouva ka um laitah ahi.
In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
3 Chuche phatsungse se chun, keiman anneh alhum atwi kanepoi. Sa jong kanepon chuleh lengpitwi jong kakam sunga alutkha poi. Chuleh hapta thum lhinkah chun, thao namtwi jong kinu louvin ka um’e.
I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
4 Lhamasa nisomni leh nili lhinnin, keima vadung minthang Tigris pang’a kana dingin ahi.
And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;
5 Keima kadahin kavet leh, tupat ponnem kisil mipa khat kamun, ama chun akong’a sana thengsel konggah akigahin ahi.
Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
6 Amapa tahsa chu song mantam abangin, amaiso jong kolphe bangin avahin, chuleh amit teni jong meikou kide abang e. Abanjang teni leh akeng teni jong, sum-eng kinot jolsel bang in avalin, chuleh a awso jong mihon tamtah awgin abangin ahi.
His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
7 Daniel keima, changsehin, hiche themgao thilmu hi kamu ahi. Kaum khompi miho chun hiche kathilmu chu amupouve. Ahin, amaho atijauvin, chuleh kiseldoh dingin ajam mang soh tauve.
And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
8 Chuin keima ka changsehin eidalhauvin, chuche themgao thilmu nasatah chu kamu tai. Hichun katha jouse abeijin, kamelso akikhelin chuleh thanei louvin kalel lheh jengin ahi.
Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
9 Chuin keiman mipa thusei chu kajan, chutia ama awgin kajah chun, tol-ah kalhun, kamai kasulutin chuleh kathimilliu tan ahi.
Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
10 Hichepet chun khut khatin eihinthamin chuleh eikai touvin, kihot pum pumin keima jong kakhup tenin ka pansan, ka bung’e.
And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 Chuin mipa chun ka jah’a aseijin, “Daniel nangma Pathen dingin manlutah nahi. Hijeh chun, nahenga kasei ding hohi chingthei tahin ngaijin. Chuleh dingdohin, keima hi nang kom’a eihung kisol ahi,” ati.
And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Chuin aman kajah’a, kicha hih in Daniel. Nangma na Pathen ang sung’a na kineo sah’a, thil hetkhen themna nathum nikho amasapen’a pat’a chu na taona jouse van’a na kingai peh ahitai. Hijeh’a chu keima nahenga hung’a kahi.
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 Amavang nisom ni leh nikhat sung chu, Persia leng chapa lhagao gilou chun ka lampia eitingin ahi. Hijeh chun vantil pipu Michael vantil chu eipanhu dingin ahungin, chuleh keiman Michael vantil chu leng chapa lhagao chutoh kidou dingin ka dalha tai.
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14 Tua hilaija kahung hi, khonunga namite chunga ipi thil hungsoh ding ham, ti seipeh’a hung kahi. Ajeh chu themgao thilmua namu chengse hi, khonung thil hungsoh ding ngen ahibouve ati.
Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.
15 Aman hitia aseipet chun, keiman tol lang kaven kakunin, thucheng khat jong seidoh theilouvin ka um’e.
And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
16 Chuin mihem tobang khatin, kane teni ahung thamin ahileh, keiman kakam kahinkah tan, chuleh kahung paodoh tai. Hichun kenjong ka masang’a dingpa jah’a chun, “Vo kapu, themgao thilmua mu kaneijeh in, ka pumin kanatlo tan, chuleh kalel lheh jeng tai.”
And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
17 Kapu, na sohpa keima hitobang bep hi, iti nangtoh ka kihoulim jou ding ham? Ka tha jouse abeitan chuleh kahaina hu jong amangpai ding ahi tai,” kati.
For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.
18 Chuphat in mihem tobang’a melpupa chun, eihin tham kitin ahileh, ka hung hatdoh kit tai.
Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,
19 Aman aseijin, “Kicha hihin, ajehchu nangma hi Pathen dinga manlutah nahi. Lungmongin, kitilkhouvin chuleh hattahin pangin,” eiti. Aman hitia asei kajah phatin, apettah chun, ka tha ahung hatdoh tan, amapa jah’a chun, “Kapu, nei lungsetin, thu chu nei seipeh tan, ajeh chu, nangman neihat doh sahkit ahitai,” kati.
And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
20 Chuin aman eidonbut in, “Ipi bol’a naheng’a hung kahi nahet em? Tua hi, ka kile kit’a, Persia leng chapa lhagao gilou chutoh kisat ding kahi. Chujou tengleh, vetan, Greek leng chapa chu hung ding ahitai.
Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.
21 Chuleh keiman thutah lekhabu a kijih chu, nangma kaseipeh ding ahi. Vetan, hiche lhagao gilou ho toh kakidouna-a hin, nangding’a leng chapa Michael vantil tilou, koima eipanhu ding aum poi.”
But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
