< Amos 2 >

1 Pakaiyin hitin aseiye. “Moab mite talen man louva ka lha louhel ding ahi. Ajeh chun amahon chonset abol bol jeng un, anga dehpouvin ahi. Amahon Edom lengpa gu leh chang jouse meiyin ahal un, vutvam aso sah tauvin ahi.
This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Moab, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because he burned to lime the bones of Edom’s king.
2 Hijeh’a chu keiman Moab gamsung meiya kahal lhah ding, chuleh Kerioth khopi kulpi ho ka suhmang ding ahi. Chuleh Moab mite chu gal’a ka leh mao na thum jeju lah’a, agalmi hon saki amut denuva thigam ding ahiuve”, ati.
So I will send fire against Moab to consume the citadels of Kerioth. Moab will die in tumult, amid war cries and the sound of the ram’s horn.

Amahon Pakai peh chondan thuhil don louvin akoijun, chuleh athupeh jong anitdeh pouvin ahi. Apu apateu vamang na jou leh nal’a kilheplhahna ah avahmang gam tauvin ahi.
This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Judah, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they reject the Law of the LORD and fail to keep His statutes; they are led astray by the lies in which their fathers walked.
5 Hijeh’a chu keiman meiya Judah kahallhah ding, chuleh Jerusalem khopi kulpi ho jong kasuhmang ding ahi,” ati.
So I will send fire upon Judah to consume the citadels of Jerusalem.”

This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of Israel, even four, I will not revoke My judgment, because they sell the righteous for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals.

They trample on the heads of the poor as on the dust of the earth; they push the needy out of their way. A man and his father have relations with the same girl and so profane My holy name.
8 Pathen houna maicham phung dung’a chun, aleiba teuvin, bat sahdoh kah’a ding’a apeh’u, ponsil ho akisil’un akijam leuve. Chuleh a Pathen’u houin sunga jong, thudihlou tah’a mi agap nau Lengpitwi adon uvin ahi.
They lie down beside every altar on garments taken in pledge. And in the house of their God, they drink wine obtained through fines.
9 Amavang, kamite masang tah’a, Cedar thing banga sang leh Oak thing banga tah, Amor mite ana suhmang peh chu keima kahi. Keiman thingbah lah’a aga jouse jong ka sugam in, chuleh noi lam’a ajung geijin ka kaldoh in ahi.
Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, though his height was like that of the cedars, and he was as strong as the oaks. Yet I destroyed his fruit above and his roots below.
10 Egypt gam’a kon’a nahin pui doh uva chu keima kahi, chuleh kum somli jen nelphai gamthip’a nahinpuileu chu keima kahi. Hijeh’a chu nanghon Amor mite gamsung naloden theiju ahi.
And I brought you up from the land of Egypt and led you forty years in the wilderness, that you might take possession of the land of the Amorite.
11 Keiman na chapa teu phabep themgaovin ka pansah in, chuleh adangho jong Nazir ka hisah e. Vo Israel kamite, nangman hichehi ahipoi tia na seithei ding ham?” tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
I raised up prophets from your sons and Nazirites from your young men. Is this not true, O children of Israel?”
12 Ahivang in, nangman Nazir ho jong, ju na donsah in chonset na bolsah e. Chuleh themgao ho jong gao thu seilou ding’in naphoh thiptai.
“But you made the Nazirites drink wine and commanded the prophets not to prophesy.
13 Hijeh’a chu, keiman thohgim tah’a kalha ding, bongkang changpal dimset kiheng’a uh jen jun bang’a kalha ding, kasuh nem ding nahi.
Behold, I am about to crush you in your place as with a cart full of grain.
14 Nalah uva akal jang pen jong jammang deh lou ding, chuleh atha hat pen jong pang jou dehlou ding ahi. Thahattah’a galsat hon jong, ahinkho akihuh doh joulou diu ahi.
Escape will fail the swift, the strong will not prevail by his strength, and the mighty will not save his life.
15 Thalpi kap’a pangho jong ding det joulou diu, chuleh Sakol chung touthem ho jong, amaho leh amaho kihuhdoh jou lou diu ahi.
The archer will not stand his ground, the fleet of foot will not escape, and the horseman will not save his life.
16 Hiche nikho chuleh gal hang pen’a panghon jong, agal manchah’u ase lhah diu chuleh ahindoh nadiuva jamdiu ahi”, tin Pakaiyin aseiye.
Even the bravest of mighty men will flee naked on that day,”
