And Athaliah [the] mother of Ahaziah (she saw *QK) that he was dead son her and she arose and she destroyed all [the] offspring of royalty.

2 Ahinlah Ahaziah sopinu Jehosheba Jehoram lengpa chanu chun, Ahaziah chapa Joash chu chapang cha ana hi nalaijin, leng insung mite jouse thagam ding thu ajahdoh phat in Joash chu ana guhdoh’a ahin sintou nu chutoh alupna insung dan sunga chun ana sellin, Athaliah khutthah a kon chun ana huhdoh in ahi.

And she took Jehosheba [the] daughter of the king Joram [the] sister of Ahaziah Joash [the] son of Ahaziah and she stole him from among [the] sons of the king (who were about to be put to death *QK) him and nurse his in [the] chamber of the beds and they hid him from before Athaliah and not he was put to death.

3 Athaliah lengnu in kum gup sung jen leggam sunga vai ahop sungin, Joash chu Pakai hou n sunga ana kisel’ah ahi.

And he was with her [the] house of Yahweh hiding himself six years and Athaliah [was] reigning over the land.

4 Athaliah vaihom kal kum gup kichai akum sagi lhin kum in, Jehoiada thempu in asepai lamkaipa, Car mite sepaite, chuleh khopi ngah apangho Pakai hou in na akoukhom tan ahi. Hichun aman amaho chutoh Pakai houin’ah amaho chutoh, khonung changeiya dettah le kitah tah a adinpina diuvin akihahsel sah in chule kitepna khat ana sempeh in, hiche jouchun aman lengpa chapa Joash chu ahin puidoh’in amaho chu avetsah tan ahi.

And in the year seventh he sent Jehoiada and he took - [the] commanders of (the hundreds *Qk) of the Carian[s] and of the runners and he brought them to himself [the] house of Yahweh and he made to them a covenant and he made to swear an oath with them in [the] house of Yahweh and he showed them [the] son of the king.

5 Jehoiada chun amaho kom achun, “Nangho hop thumma naki khen uva, hopkhat cholngah nileh leng inpi ngah a napandiu ahi, hiche hi nabol teidiu ahi,” atipeh tan ahi.

And he commanded them saying this [is] the thing which you will do! the third [part] of you [who] come the sabbath and [who] keep [the] watch of [the] house of the king.

6 “Hopthum ma hopkhat dangma chu, Sur kelkot ngah’a napandiu chuleh hopthum ma hopkhat dangma chu khopi ngah’a napandiu, akisei hichang thum laiya hi nabonchauva khopi na ngadiu ahi,” ati.

And the third [part] [will be] at [the] gate of Sur and the third [part] [will be] at the gate behind the runners and you will keep [the] watch of the house by turns.

7 “Cholngah nikhoa kinbollou loi ni chun, Pakai houin na lengpa nadinpi diu ahi.

And [the] two the hands in you all [those who] go out the sabbath and they will keep [the] watch of [the] house of Yahweh to the king.

8 Nakhut uva galmanchah nakichoi uva lengpa tahsa hoibitna dinga akimvella nadindiu, chule koi hijongleh ahung lhailut goa aumleh natha jeng diu ahi. Lengpa chu ache nachanna najui diu ahi,” ati.

And you will surround the king all around everyone and weapons his in hand his and the [one who] comes into the ranks he will be put to death and be with the king when goes out he and when comes he.

9 Hiti chun sepai vaipo hochun Jehoiada thempun aseipeh bang bangun abollun ahi. Sepai vaipo ho chun cholngah nia panla dingho ahin alalou dingho ahin asepaite cheh uchu Jehoiada thempu pa kom ahin puijun,

And they did [the] commanders of (the hundreds *Qk) according to all that he commanded Jehoiada the priest and they took each men his [those who] came the sabbath with [those who] went out the sabbath and they came to Jehoiada the priest.

10 Chule aman amaho chu tengcha holeh ompho hochu ana ban hoppeh in ahi, hiche manchah hohi David lengpan a ahin, Pakai houin na ana kikoi jing ahi.

And he gave the priest to [the] commanders of (the hundreds *Qk) the spear and the shields which [had belonged] to the king David which [were] in [the] house of Yahweh.

11 Leng inpi ngah hochun amanchah’u kigosademin akichoi uvin a lengpau chu aum kimvel un ana ngah un ahi. Amahon chun houin lhanglang ning apat sahlang ning geijin akigol lhungkei jun, maicham jong aumkimvel un ahi.

And they stood the runners everyone - and weapons his in hand his from [the] side of the house south to [the] side of the house north to the altar and to the house at the king all around.

12 Hichun Jehoiada in lengpa chapa Joash chu ahin puidoh’in, aluchanga lallukhuh akhuh peh in Pathen danthu lekhabu khat apen, hiti chun thao anun, leng ahitai tin aphongdoh un, mijousen khut abengun, “Lengpa damsot hen,” tin asam un ahi.

And he brought out [the] son of the king and he put on him the crown and the testimony and they made king him and they anointed him and they struck a palm and they said may he live the king.

13 Athaliah in, mipi hole leng inpi ngah ho husan chu ajahdoh phat’in, ipi thilsoh hitam? tin aveding in gangchal’in houin langa chun aga lhailut tan ahi.

And she heard Athaliah [the] sound of the runners the people and she went to the people [the] house of Yahweh.

14 Amun aga lhun phat’in, lallukhuh kikhuh’a lengthah khat chonna ngaidolla thuneitah'a khompi kom’a ana din chu amutan, chule sepai lamkai holeh pengkul mut ho avella adin chule gamsung pumpia mipi hochun kipah tah a sumkon amut’u aga mudoh tan ahi. Hichun Athaliah in hiche ho jouse hi amudoh phat’in, along ana behseh jeng in aponsil abtottel in, “Lengmun chu! Lengmun chu!” tin asam tai.

And she saw and there! the king [was] standing at the pillar according to the custom and the commanders and the trumpets [were] with the king and all [the] people of the land [was] joyful and [was] giving a blast on trumpets and she tore Athaliah clothes her and she called out treason treason.

15 Jehoiada thempu pan asepaiho vesuija pang sepai lamkai hochu thu apen, “Amanu chu man unlang Houin maija sepai holah akhun puilut un, chuleh koihileh amanu huhna dinga hung lut aumle that jingun,” atin ahi. Ajeh chu thempu pa chun, “Amanu chu Pakai houin sunga tha louding ahi,” anati sa ahi.

And he commanded Jehoiada the priest [the] commanders of (the hundreds *Qk) [the] officers of the army and he said to them bring out her to from between to the ranks and the [one who] comes behind her put to death with the sword for he had said the priest may not she be put to death [the] house of Yahweh.

16 Hichun amahon, amanu chu aman un, leng inpia sakolte lutna kelkot langa chun apui amang un, hikom’a chun athat tauvin ahi.

And they put to her hands and she went [the] way of [the] entrance of the horses [the] house of the king and she was put to death there.

17 Hichun Jehoiada in mipite ho jouse chu “Pakai mite” ahina diuvin, Pakai leh lengpa kikah chuleh mipite kikah a kitepna khat asem tan ahi. Chujongleh aman lengpa leh mipi kikah a jong kitepna khat asem in ahi.

And he made Jehoiada the covenant between Yahweh and between the king and between the people to become a people of Yahweh and between the king and between the people.

18 Hichun gamsunga mipiho jouse chu acheuvin Baal doi houna houin ho chu asulhauvin, adoiphung u, maicham leh adoilimho jouse chu akhense uvin asuchip’un chuleh Baal thempu Mattan jong chu adoiphung maicham maitah achun athat tauvin ahi. Hiche jouchun Jehoiada thempupan jong, Pakai houin vengtup dingin sepai ana koijin ahi.

And they went all [the] people of the land [the] house of Baal and they pulled down it (altars its *QK) and images its they broke thoroughly and Mattan [the] priest of Baal they killed before the altars and he appointed the priest overseers over [the] house of Yahweh.

19 Hijou chun sepai lamkai holeh Car mite sepaiho chuleh leng inpi ngah sepaiho chuleh gamsung mipi ho chun Joash lengpa chu Pakai houin na konin ahinpui doh un, leng inpi ngah ho panmun kelkot a chun ahung kitollut uvin, chuin lengpa chu lengte laltouna a chun atoutai.

And he took [the] commanders of the hundreds and the Carian[s] and the runners and - all [the] people of the land and they took down the king from [the] house of Yahweh and they came [the] way of [the] gate of the runners [the] house of the king and he sat on [the] throne of the kings.

20 Hiti chun gamsung mipi abonchauvin akipah sohkeijun chule gamsung’a chamna ana lengpan tan ahi, ajeh chu leng inpia chu Athaliah kitinu ana tha u ahitai.

And it rejoiced all [the] people of the land and the city it was at peace and Athaliah they had put to death with the sword [the] house of (the king. *QK)
