1 Obed chapa Azariah chunga Pathen Lhagao ahung chun,
And the Spirit of God has been on Azariah son of Oded,
2 Lengpa Asa galmun’a kon hung vailhung chun, Lengpa kimuto pi dingin apotdoh tan ahi. Neihin ngaipeh temin Asa tin agah asamin ahi. Ngaitemin, nangho Judah le Benjamin phunga mite ho! Pakai chu nanghon naumpi laiseuva aman naum pidiu ahi. Nanghon nahol laiseuva ama chu namu diu, ahinlah nanghon nadalhah uva ahileh aman jong nadalhah diu ahi.
and he goes out before Asa and says to him, “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; YHWH [is] with you—in your being with Him, and if you seek Him, He is found by you, and if you forsake Him, He forsakes you;
3 Phat saotah pi Israel chu Pathen dihtah nei louva ahildiu themgao bei’a chule ajuidingu dan thu bei’a anaum-u ahitai.
and many days [are] to Israel without [the] true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law,
4 Ahinlah boina hahsatna ahinto phat ule, Pakai Israel Pathen henga ahungki nung heikit uva; chule ama chu ahin hol phat ule amahon ama chu amudoh kit jiuve.
and it turns back in its distress to YHWH, God of Israel, and they seek Him, and He is found by them,
5 Chuche lungjin naphat ho sung chun kholjinna chele vale dingin lungmon aum jipon ahi.
and in those times there is no peace for him who is going out, and for him who is coming in, for many troubles [are] on all the inhabitants of the lands,
6 Gamkhat in Gamkhat dounan gal akisat tou jiuvin ahi. Ajeh chu Pathen in boina tintang jouse toh tho’a asuhgim jiu ahi,
and they have been beaten down, nation by nation, and city by city, for God has troubled them with every adversity;
7 Ahinlah nangvang hatnin lang hang in, ajeh chu na natoh man, kipa man nasan ding ahi.
and you, be strong, and do not let your hands be feeble, for there is a reward for your work.”
8 Asa chun Themgao Azariah konna hiche thu chu ajah doh phat hin, ahung hangsan tan Judah le Benjamin gamsunga chule Ephraim thinglhang gam'a analah’u khopi hoa thet umtah lim semthu ho chu abonchan asumang tan ahi. Chule Pakai Houin mai’a um lutle potle na indan sunga, Pakai maicham chu athah semphat kit tan ahi.
And at Asa’s hearing these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he has strengthened himself, and causes the abominations to pass away out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities that he has captured from the hill-country of Ephraim, and renews the altar of YHWH that [is] before the porch of YHWH,
9 Chuin Asa chun Judah le Benjamin phunga mijouse, amaho to chengkhom Ephraim, Mannaseh le Simeon phunga mijouse chutoh akou khom soh kei tan ahi. Asa vaipoh sung chun amaho Pakai a-Pathen un aumpi chu amu doh phat uchun Israel gam'a konin, mi tamtah Judah gam'a chun ahung kichao lut tauvin ahi.
and gathers all Judah and Benjamin, and the sojourners with them out of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and out of Simeon—for they have defected to him from Israel in abundance, in their seeing that his God YHWH [is] with him.
10 Asa vaipoh sung kum somle nga lhin kum chavang kichai kon chun, mipi chu Jerusalema akikhom uvin ahi.
And they are gathered to Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa,
11 Chuche nichun Pakaiya dingin bong ja sagi le kelngoi sang sagi chule galmunna ahinpohlut’u kelcha ho chu Pakai angsunga chun athatnun maicham thilton akat doh tauvin ahi.
and sacrifice to YHWH on that day from the spoil they have brought in—seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep,
12 Chuin amaho alung thim pumpi alhagao pumpiu vin Pakai a-Pathen’u holnan kitepna khat asemdoh tauvin ahi.
and they enter into a covenant to seek YHWH, God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul,
13 Koi hileh ateh akhang hijongleh Pakai Israel Pathen holnom lou chu, thalih jeng dingin akinopto uvin ahi.
and everyone who does not seek for YHWH, God of Israel, is put to death, from small to great, from man to woman.
14 Sumkon gin peh lah lah le kelngoi ki kikhet gintoh thon, Pakaiya kitahna nei dingin akihah selnau aw sangtah in asamun ahi.
And they swear to YHWH with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with horns,
15 A lungthim pumpiuva asemmu ahijeh chun, Judah gamsunga mijouse chu hiche kitepna chunga alunglhai soh keijun ahi. Ngaichatna neitah’a Pathen ahol’u ahijeh chun Pakaiyin alang langa agalmi teuva konin choldona apeuvin ahi.
and all Judah rejoices concerning the oath, for they have sworn with all their heart, and they have sought Him with all their goodwill, and He is found by them, and YHWH gives rest to them all around.
16 Asa Lengpa chun apinu Maacah jeng tah jong chu Lengnu ahina muna konin anodoh in ahi. Ajeh chu amanu chun thujahmo Asherah khom anasem ahi, Asa chu apinun thujahmo khom asem chu asat lhan ajepchip in Kedron phaicham a chun ahalvamtan ahi.
And also Maachah, mother of Asa the king—he has removed her from [being] mistress, in that she has made for an Asherah a horrible thing, and Asa cuts down her horrible thing, and beats [it] small, and burns [it] by the Brook of Kidron:
17 Israel gam sunga doikhom, doihouna munho akisuhmang louvang chun; ahinkho lhung keijin Asa lungthim chu kitahna lhingset in aum jinge.
yet the high places have not been removed from Israel; only, the heart of Asa has been perfect all his days.
18 Ama le apan ana lhandoh sana le dangka chule thil jatchom chom ho chu, Pathen Houin sunga ahinpolut in ahi.
And he brings in the sanctified things of his father, and his own sanctified things, to the house of God: silver, and gold, and vessels.
19 Hitichun Asa lengvaipoh kum somthum le kum nga chan chun gal kiti ana umtapoi.
And war has not been until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa.
