1 Samuel 26
1 Miphabep Ziph a kon in Saul kimupi dingin Gibeah mun ah ahung’un, “David chu Jeshimon nisolama Hakilah mol chunga chu kisel ahi,” ahung tiuve.
And the Ziphites come out of the dry country to Saul to the hill, saying, Behold, David hides himself with us in the hill Echela, opposite Jessemon.
2 Hijeh chun Saul in galsat themcheh Israel sepai sangthum akipuiyin David hol ding in Jiph gammang lam ajonsuh tauvin ahi.
And Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, and with him [went] three thousand men chosen out of Israel, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.
3 Saul chun Jeshimon nisolama Hakilah molchung lamlen pang a David kisel namun’a chun ngahmun akisemin ahi. Ahin David chun Saul in gammang noiyah ahung holle ti ahedoh tan ahi.
And Saul encamped in the hill of Echela in front of Jessemon, by the way, and David lived in the wilderness: and David saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.
4 Saul chu ahung mong nai ti photoh ding in guhthim in mi asollin ahi.
And David sent spies, and ascertained that Saul was come prepared out of Keila.
5 Jankhat David chu Saul umna ngahmun chu kholchil ache in, aven ahileh, Saul, Ner chapa Abner chule a sepai jalamkai chu asung ah alumin, sepaiho chun akollin, akimvellah akigolun un ahi.
And David arose secretly, and goes into the place where Saul was sleeping, and there [was] Abenner the son of Ner, the captain of his host: and Saul was sleeping in a chariot, and the people had encamped along round about him.
6 Chuin David in Hit mipa Ahimelech chule Zeruiah chapa Joab sopipa Abishai jah’a, “Saul ngahmun lailunga khu koipentah in kipedoh’a ei kilhon pi ding ham?” tia adoh a ahile Abishai in. “Keiman nakilhon oi nange,” tin ahin donbut in ahi.
And David answered and spoke to Abimelech the Chettite, and to Abessa the son Saruia the brother of Joab, saying, Who will go in with me to Saul into the camp? And Abessa said, I will go in with you.
7 Hijeh chun David le Abishai chu Saul umna ngahmun sung’ah alut lhon in ana imut pettah’u agatoh lhon in, ngahmun lailung achun Saul alumin, alukhap koma chun atengcha tolla ana kiphut’in, chule Abner le asepaite chu Saul kimvellah ana imuvin ahi.
So David and Abessa go in amongst the people by night: and behold, Saul was fast asleep in the chariot, and his spear was stuck in the ground near his head, and Abenner and his people slept round about him.
8 Hichun Abishai in David koma o nemtah in, “Tunia hi Pathen in namelma pa nangma khutna napeh doh ahitai, Keiman amahi nivei sut ngai louvin, khatvei seh seh sun ingting leitoh sutbeh tange!” ati.
And Abessa said to David, The Lord has this day shut up your enemy into your hands, and now I will strike him to the earth with the spear to the ground once [for all], and I will not strike him again.
9 Ahin David in, “Bollou ding ahi, Natha louding ahi. Pakai thaonusa douna-a akhut lama tapou chu koimacha athemmo lou ding aumpoi,” tin ana phoh in ahi.
And David said to Abessa, Do not lay him low, for who shall lift up his hand against the anointed of the Lord, and be guiltless?
10 “Hingjing Pathen mina kasei ahi, nikhat tengle Pathen in Saul hinjep nem tei nante ahiloule tehthi nante ahiloule gal’a thiding ahi.
And David said, [As] the Lord lives, if the Lord strike him not, or his day come and he die, or he go down to battle and be added [to his fathers, do not so].
11 Pathen thaonu khat katha ding chu Pakaiyin ajah nompoi! Ahinlah atengcha le alukhap koma atwipai vang kilah in, chuteng hia kon in dalha hitin cheta hite!” ati.
The Lord forbid it me that I should lift up my hand against the anointed of the Lord: and now take, I pray you, the spear from his bolster, and the pitcher of water, and let us return home.
12 Hijeh chun David in tengcha le Saul alu koma twipai chu alan chule amale Abishai chu koimacha hetlou kah’in achemang lhon tai, ajeh chu Pakaiyin Saul mite alhim imut ngoideh sah ahi.
So David took the spear, and the pitcher of water from his bolster, and they went home: and there was no one that saw, and no one that knew, and there was no one that awoke, all being asleep, for a stupor from the Lord had fallen upon them.
13 David a ngahmun gallang’u mol’ah akal touvin akiven phah nachan agei lhon in,
So David went over to the other side, and stood on the top of a hill afar off, and [there was] a good distance between them.
14 Sepai hole Ner chapa Abner jah din, “Abner, kithouvin!” tin ahin samin ahile “Koi nahim?” tin Abner in adonbut in adong in ahi.
And David called to the people, and spoke to Abenner, saying, Will you not answer, Abenner? and Abenner answered and said, Who are you that call?
15 David in, “Aphai Abner, nangma milen, nahilou ong? Nanghi pasal nahi hilou ham? Israel lah’a hi nang tobang mimo koi umkha am? Ipi dinga nangman napu lengpa chu phatecha nahon tup lou ham? Ajeh chu mipi lah’a khat hi napu lengpa thatdin hungleh,
And David said to Abenner, [Are] not you a man? and who [is] like you in Israel? Why then do you not guard your lord the king? for one out of the people went in to destroy your lord the king.
16 Hiche hi phaloubeh ahi! Pakai hingjing mina kasei ahi, nangle, lengpa athisa tobang nahi lhontai, ajeh chu nangman na pakai-pa naventup jou tah lou jeh in na losamtai. Napakai, naleng, Pakai thaonu a tengcha le alulhuna atwipai jong phaten koitup peh tangem?” tin ahin samin ahi.
And this thing [is] not good which you have done. [As] the Lord lives, you are worthy of death, you who guard your lord the king, the anointed of the Lord: and now behold, I pray you, the spear of the king, and the cruse of water: where are the articles that should be at his head?
17 Saul in David ogin ahi chu ahen, “Kachapa David chu nahilou haimo?” ahin tin ahile David in adonbutin, “Henge ka pakai le lengpa, Ibola ba nei chanle le ham? Ipi kabolset em? Kathepmona ipi ham?
And Saul recognised the voice of David, and said, [Is] this your voice, son David? and David said, I [am] your servant, [my] lord, O king.
And he said, Why does my lord thus pursue after his servant? for in what have I sinned? and what unrighteousness has been found in me?
19 Ahin tun ka pakai le ka lengpa nasohpa thusei hi ngaiyin, Pakaiyin kei douna’a natildoh ahi vangleh ka maicham eisan peh hen. Achuti louva mihem tildoh mai mai ahivangleh, ajao tapou Pakaiya konin gaosap changhen. Ajeh chu amahon kain muna konin ei kidal mang un, Hijeh chun Pakai mitetoh kaum khom thei tapoi, chule gamchom mite pathen houtan eitiuve.
And now let my lord the king hear the word of his servant. If God stirs you up against me, let your offering be acceptable: but if the sons of men, they [are] cursed before the Lord, for they have cast me out this day so that I should not be established in the inheritance of the Lord, saying, Go, serve other Gods.
20 Pathen’a konna gamla tah a gamdang mite ho gamsunga kathi ding hitam? Ipijeh a chu Israel lengpa chu uili khat holle a hugn kipatdoh ham? Ipi jeh a kei hi molsang vum'a lhanlha adal bang in eidal jeng ham?” atin ahi.
And now let not my blood fall to the ground before the Lord, for the king of Israel has come forth to seek your life, as the night hawk pursues [its prey] in the mountains.
21 Chuin Saul in, “Keiman kabol khel tai, inlam’ah hung kile tan, kachapa, keiman tukal nasugim taponge, tunin kahinkho hi nei hinghoi peh kit tai. Keima angol tobang chule suh khelna tamtah kana neitai,” tin Saul in ahin donbut’e.
And Saul said, I have sinned: turn, son David, for I will not hurt you, because my life was precious in your eyes; and today I have been foolish and have erred exceedingly.
22 David in, “Vo lengpa, Hichea hin na tengcha aume, Khangdong mikhat hinsol inlang hung la hen.
And David answered and said, Behold, the spear of the king: let one of the servants come over and take it.
23 Pakaiyin midih le kitah neiho adungjuijin kipaman apehjin ahi. Tunin jong Pakaiyin nangma chu kei khutna eipehsa ahitan, hijongle keiman Pakai thaonusa lengpa chunga kakhut kalap lou hel ding ahi.
And the Lord shall recompense each according to his righteousness and his truth, since the Lord delivered you this day into my hands, and I would not lift my hand against the Lord's anointed.
24 Ven tunia keima mitmua nangma hinkho manlu tah kahisah bang chun keima hinkho jong Pakai mitmun manlu tah hijeng henlang, Pakaiyin thoh hahsa kathohna changsea konin eihuhdoh tei teihen,” ati.
And, behold, as your life has been precious this very day in my eyes, so let my life be precious before the Lord, and may he protect me, and deliver me out of all affliction.
25 Chuphat in Saul jong chun David jah a, “Kachapa David nunnom in! Nanghin thil tamtah nahin bol ding chule nalolhin tei ding ahi,” ati. Hichun David jong ajotna ding langa akichen, Saul jong akho lama ahung kile kit tan ahi.
And Saul said to David, Blessed [be] you, [my] son; and you shall surely do valiantly, and surely prevail. And David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.
