When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together with one purpose.

And suddenly a roar came out of the sky, like the rushing of a violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Cawh thlang pynoet qip ak khanawh lai amyihna ak awm mai ce hu uhy.
Fiery tongues appeared and were distributed to them, and it [a tongue] landed on each one of them.
4 Cekkhqi boeih ce Ciim Myihla ing be unawh Myihla ing a pau sak amyihna awihchang na pau uhy.
And they were all filled with Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages, as the Spirit was granting to them to speak out.
5 Cawh khawnghi ak kai awh ak awm Khawsa ak kqih Juda thlangkhqi boeih boeih ce Jerusalem awh awm uhy.
Now there were devout men, Jews, from every nation under heaven, dwelling in Jerusalem.

So when that roar occurred, the crowd came together, and was bewildered, because each one was hearing them speaking to him in his own dialect.
7 Thlang boeih ing kawpoek kyi ngaihang doena, “Toek lah uh, vawhkaw awikhqi ve Galili awi boeih am nu?
So they were amazed and marveled, saying to one another: “Hey, aren't all these who are speaking Galileans?
8 Ikawtinawh ni thangpyi awi amyihna ning zaak hy voei?
So how can each of us be hearing our own dialect in which we were born?

Yes they were all amazed and perplexed, saying one to another, “Whatever is going on?”
13 Cawh thlang vang ingtaw qaihnakkhqi unawh, “Misur zuk thai ak quikhqi ni,” ti uhy.
But different ones were jeering, saying, “They are full of sweet wine!”

So Peter, standing with the eleven, raised his voice and proclaimed to them: “Men—Jews and all who are dwelling in Jerusalem—let this be known to you; indeed, listen to my speech!
15 Vekkhqi ve nangmih ing namik poek amyihna, zu am qui uhy. Tuhawh mymcang khawnoek kow ni a law hun hy!
Because these are not drunk, as you suppose (since it is only the third hour of the day),
16 Vetaw tawngha Joel ing anak kqawn ceni:
but this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:

‘It will be in the last days, says God: I will pour out from my Spirit upon all flesh; your sons and your daughters will prophesy; your young men will see visions; your old men will dream a dream.
18 Ka tamnaa pakhqi ingkaw ka tamnaa nukhqi ak khan awhawm kang Myihla syp kawng nyng saw, ka awi kqawn kawm uh.
In those days I will indeed pour out from my Spirit upon my male slaves and upon my female slaves, and they will prophesy.
19 Khawhii awh kawpoek kyi themkhqi ingkaw, deklai kaiawh hatnaakkhqi ce nim huh kawng nyng; Thi, mai ingkaw maikhu ing dang sak kawng nyng.

The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into ‘blood’ before the great and glorious day of the Lord will come.

And it will be: whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!’

“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Natsorean, a man from God attested to you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in your midst, as you yourselves well know,

For David says concerning Him: ‘I always saw the Lord before my face, because He is at my right side so that I not be shaken.
26 Cedawngawh kak kawlung ve zeel nawh kam lai ve ak kaw zeel hy; Ka pum awm ngaih-unaak ing hqing kaw,
Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced. Furthermore, even my flesh will repose upon hope,

You have made known to me roads of life; with Your presence You make me full of gladness.’
29 Koeinaakhqi, pakdam David a kawng ve ak kqih kanaa nami venawh kqawn law nyng; anih ce thi nawh, phyi khui byihna awm hawh hy, ak phyi awm tuhdy ni venawh awm poe hy.
“Men, brothers, be it permitted to speak to you plainly about the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
30 Anih taw tawngha na awm nawh, Khawsa ing a venawh awikam nawh amah a ngawihdoelh awh a cadil thlang pynoet ngawih sak kaw tinawh awi a taak ce sim hy.
So then, he being a prophet and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath that of the fruit, according to flesh, of his loins He would raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne,
31 Ni hai benawh ak awm law hly kawi ik-oeih ce a sim oepchoeh a dawngawh, anih ce phyi khuiawh am khawng hyt kawmsaw, a pum awm am thu kaw, tinawh Khrih a thawh tlaihnaak akawng ce anak kqawn oepchoeh hawh hy. (Hadēs g86)
he foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Messiah, that His soul was not abandoned in Hades, nor did His flesh see decay. (Hadēs g86)
32 Cawhkaw Jesu ce Khawsa ing thawh sak tlaih nawh, cawhkaw ik-oeih ak simpyikung dyihthing na kaimih ve awm unyng.
“This Jesus God raised, to which we all are witnesses.

Therefore, having been exalted to God's right hand, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this that you now see and hear.
34 David ce khawk khan na am kaai hy, anih qoe ing, “Bawipa ing ka Bawipa venawh: 'Kak tang benawh ngawi lah.
Further, David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says: ‘The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand

36 Cedawngawh Israel thlangkhqi boeih ing ve ve sim lah uh: Nangmih ing thinglam awh nami taai Jesu ce Khawsa ing Boei ingkaw Khrih na sai hawh hy,” tinak khqi hy.
Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified!”
37 Thlangkhqi ing ce ak awi ce a ming zaak awh, amik kawlung awh sun amyihna za unawh, Piter ingkaw ceityihkhqi venawh, “Koeinaakhqi ikawmyihna nu ka mi ti kaw?” tinawh doet uhy.
Now upon hearing this they were cut to the heart and said to Peter, and the rest of the Apostles, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?!”
38 Piter ing, “Thawlh zut unawh taw, thawlh qeenkhaw ngainaak aham, Jesu Khrih ang ming awh baptisma hu boeih uh. Cawhtaw Ciim Myihla themzoe peek ce hu kawm uk ti.
So Peter said to them: “Repent and be baptized, each one of you, upon the name of Jesus Christ, for forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 Vawhkaw awikamnaak vetaw na mimah aham, nami cakhqi ham ingkaw ak hla nakaw ak awm thlangkhqi boeih – Bawipa nangmih a Khawsa ing ak khy thlangkhqi boeih aham ni,” tinak khqi hy.
For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far away—as many, that is, as the Lord our God may call.”
40 Awih chang khawzah ing a mingmih a venawh ngaihtaaknaak awi kqawn pek khqi hy; a mingmih a venawh, “Vawhkaw ak plam cadilkhiq anglak awhkawng na mimah ingkaw na mimah ce hul qu lah uh,” tinawh kqawncaih pek khqi hy.
With many different words he both testified and kept exhorting, saying, “Escape from this perverse generation!”
41 Anih ak awih kqawn ak dokhqi boeih ing baptisma ce hu uhy, ce a nyn awh ce thlang thong thum ing sap khqi hy.
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and that day about three thousand souls were added.
42 Ceityihkhqi a cawngpyinaak awi ce ngai unawh pawlnengnaak ce ta uhy, phaihpi thek unawh cykcah uhy.
And they continued steadfastly in the Apostles' teaching and in the fellowship, both in the breaking of the bread and in the prayers.
43 Thlang boeih kqihnaak ing be unawh ceityihkhqi ing kawpoek kyi hatnaakkhqi ce sai uhy.
Fear came upon every soul—many wonders and signs were taking place through the Apostles.
44 Ak cangnaak thlangkhqi boeih ing them pynoet na cuut uhy.
Now all who believed were together and had all things in common;
45 Ami khawhthemkhqi ce zawi unawh, ak voethlauh thlangkhqi ce pe uhy.
they started selling both possessions and goods and were distributing to all according as anyone had need.
46 Myngawi na bawkim awh cun poepa uhy. Im awh phaihpi ce teei unawh kawlung kutoet cana zeelnaak ing ai haih uhy,
So day by day they continued steadfastly with one purpose in the temple and broke bread from house to house; they received their share of food with gladness and singleness of heart,

praising God and having favor with all the people. And day by day the Lord added to the Church those who were being saved.
