1 Aka mawt ham David kah Tingtoenglung Yoethaenah hnin ah tattloel te aka cangbam tah a yoethen. Anih te BOEIPA loh a loeih sak.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Blessed [is] he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

2 BOEIPA loh anih te a dawndah vetih a hlun ni. Khohmuen nen khaw uem la uem vetih, a thunkha kah hinglu la anih te tloeng mahpawh.

The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; [and] he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

3 BOEIPA loh kolet soengca dongkah te khaw a duel. A thingkong boeih te a tlohtat lamloh na palet bitni.

The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

4 Kai loh, “BOEIPA, nang taengah ka tholh oeh tih, kai n'rhen lamtah ka hinglu he hoeih sak lah,” ka ti.

I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

5 Ka thunkha rhoek loh kai he, “Me vaengah nim a duek vetih a ming a paltham ve,” tila a thae a thui.

Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

6 Hmuh hamla aka pawk boeih tah a lungbuei khaw a poeyoek lam ni a cal. Amah ham boethae a coi tih, vongvoel la a pha neh a thui.

And if he come to see [me], he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; [when] he goeth abroad, he telleth [it].

7 Ka lunguet boeih loh kai he a thae la m'moeh uh dongah kai taengah tun sisuk uh.

All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

8 “Anih tah a olka aka muen loh a kap thil tih a yalh atah thoh hamla koei mahpawh.

An evil disease, [say they], cleaveth fast unto him: and [now] that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

9 Ka ngaimongnah hlang te tah amah dongah ka pangtung dae, ka buh aka ca long ni kai taengah a khodil a taloeh.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up [his] heel against me.

10 Tedae BOEIPA nang loh kai n'rhen lamtah amih khoboe te thuung ham kai n'thoh lah.

But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11 Ka thunkha rhoek te kai soah a yuhui pawt dongah kai taengah na naem te ka ming.

By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12 Kai khaw kamah kah thincaknah neh kai nan duel tih kumhal namah hmai ah kai nan khueh.

And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13 Israel kah Pathen BOEIPA tah kumhal lamkah kumhal due a yoethen pai. Amen neh Amen.

Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
