1 Oelhtaih vaengkah David kah Aw BOEIPA, kai aka nen ka lungawn te han nen lah.
[A Psalm] of David. Judge you, O Lord, them that injure me, fight against them that fight against me.
2 Kai bomnah ham photling neh photlinglen te muk lamtah thoo lah.
Take hold of shield and buckler, and arise for my help.
3 Kai aka hloem rhoek te caai neh khoh lamtah sulbung neh ham mah lah. Ka hinglu taengah, “Kai tah nang kah khangnah ni,” ti nah saeh.
Bring forth a sword, and stop [the way] against them that persecute me: say to my soul, I am your salvation.
4 Ka hinglu aka mae rhoek he yahpok saeh lamtah a hmaithae uh saeh. Kai a thae la aka moeh rhoek te a hnuk la balkhong uh saeh lamtah ngam uh saeh.
Let them that seek my soul be ashamed and confounded: let them that devise evils against me be turned back and put to shame.
5 Khohli dong kah cangkik bangla om uh saeh lamtah BOEIPA kah puencawn loh hawk nawn saeh.
Let them be as dust before the wind, and an angel of the Lord afflicting them.
6 Amih kah longpuei te hmaisuep neh longhnal la om saeh lamtah BOEIPA kah puencawn loh amih te hloem saeh.
Let their way be dark and slippery, and an angel of the Lord persecuting them.
7 A tloengtlaih van la kai ham lawk a tung uh tih ka hinglu ham vaam a too uh.
For without cause they have hid for me their destructive snare: without a cause they have reproached my soul.
8 Anih kah a ming mueh la khohli rhamrhael loh kae saeh lamtah lawk a tung te amah man saeh. Anih taengah khohli rhamrhael la tlak thil saeh.
Let a snare which they know not come upon them; and the gin which they hid take them; and let them fall into the very same snare.
9 Te vaengah ka hinglu loh BOEIPA ah omngaih vetih amah kah khangnah dongah ngaingaih ni.
But my soul shall exult in the Lord: it shall delight in his salvation.
10 Ka rhuh ka rhong boeih loh, “Mangdaeng te amah lakah tlungluen kut lamkah, mangdaeng neh khodaeng te khaw anih aka rheth kut lamkah BOEIPA nang bangla aka huul te unim?,” ti uh saeh.
All my bones shall say, O Lord, who is like to you? delivering the poor out of the hand of them that are stronger than he, yes, the poor and needy one from them that spoil him.
11 Kuthlahnah kah laipai rhoek te ha tlai uh tih kai loh ka ming mueh te n'dawt uh.
Unjust witnesses arose, and asked me of things I new not.
12 Ka hinglu kah polpainah ham a then yueng la boethae neh kai n'thuung uh.
They rewarded me evil for good, and bereavement to my soul.
13 Tedae kai tah amih te tloh a nue vaengah tlamhni ka pueinak nah. Ka hinglu he yaehnah neh ka phaep vaengah ka thangthuinah loh ka kodang la ha bal.
But I, when they troubled me, put on sackcloth, and humbled my soul with fasting: and my prayer shall return to my [own] bosom.
14 Pay a bangla ka manuca bangla ka ngai. A nu kah rhahdoe cangpoem bangla ka van tih kopang doela lu ka singling.
I behaved agreeably towards them as [if it had been] our neighbour [or] brother: I humbled myself as one mourning and sad of countenance.
15 Tedae ka cungdonah te ko a khah uh tih tingtun uh. Hlanghaeng rhoek loh ka ming pawt vaengah ka taengah tingtun uh. Kai n'hliphen uh vaengah toeng uh pawh.
Yet they rejoiced against me, and plagues were plentifully brought against me, and I knew [it] not: they were scattered, but repented not.
16 Lailak loh kai he buh bangla tamdaengtamkha neh a no n'tah thiluh.
They tempted me, they sneered at me most contemptuously, they gnashed their teeth upon me.
17 Aw Boeipa, mevaeng hil nim nan sawt sut ve? Ka hinglu he khohli rhamrhael lamloh, ka oingaih cangloeng te sathuengca kut lamloh han doek lah.
O Lord, when will you look upon me? Deliver my soul from their mischief, mine only-begotten one from the lions.
18 Hlangping a yet taengah nang kan uem vetih pilnam rhaengpuei lakli ah nang kan thangthen ni.
I will give thanks to you even in a great congregation: in an abundant people I will praise you.
19 A hong mai khaw ka thunkha rhoek loh kai dongah n'kokhah uh tih a lunglilungla la kai aka hmuhuet loh a mik m'mikhip thil boel saeh.
Let not them that are mine enemies without a cause rejoice against me; who hate me for nothing, and wink with their eyes.
20 Rhoepnah a thui uh mueh la khohmuen he dingsuek tila thailatnah ol te a moeh uh.
For to me they spoke peaceably, but imagined deceits in [their] anger.
21 Te dongah kai taengah a ka a ang uh tih, “Ahuei ahuei mamih mik loh a hmuh coeng,” a ti uh.
And they opened wide their mouth upon me; they said Aha, aha, our eyes have seen [it].
22 Na hmuh coeng BOEIPA. Na hilphah boeh. Kai taeng lamkah n'lakhla tak boeh ka Boeipa.
You have seen [it], O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, withdraw not [yourself] from me.
23 Kamah kah tuituknah dongah kai ka tiktamnah ham haenghang lamtah thoo laeh ka Pathen neh ka Boeipa.
Awake, O Lord, and attend to my judgement, [even] to my cause, my God and my Lord.
24 Ka BOEIPA Pathen aw, na duengnah neh kai n'tang sak lamtah kai soah a kokhap uh boel saeh.
Judge me, O Lord, according to your righteousness, O Lord my God; and let them not rejoice against me.
25 Amih lungbuei ah, “Ahuei, mamih hinglu soep coeng,” ti uh boel saehAnih.” n'dolh uh coeng, “ti uh boel saeh.
Let them not say in their hearts, Aha, aha, [it is pleasing] to our soul: neither let them say, We have devoured him.
26 Kai kah yoethae soah ko aka hoe rhoek te rhenten yak uh saeh lamtah ngam uh saeh. Kai soah aka pomsang rhoe te yahpohnah neh mingthae loh khuk saeh.
Let them be confounded and ashamed together that rejoice at my afflictions: let them be clothed with shame and confusion that speak great swelling words against me.
27 Kai kah duengnah aka omtoem rhoek loh tamhoe uh lamtah a kohoe uh saeh. Te dongah a sal kah ngaimongnah aka omtoem BOEIPA tah pomsang pai saeh,” ti uh yoeyah saeh.
Let them that rejoice in my righteousness exult and be glad: and let them say continually, The Lord be magnified, who desire the peace of his servant.
28 Te vaengah na duengnah neh namah koehnah te ka olka loh hnin at puet thuep saeh.
And my tongue shall meditate on your righteousness, [and] on your praise all the day.
