1 Aka mawt ham David kah Tingtoenglung Kai kah koehnah Pathen aw hilphah boeh.
For the music director. A psalm of David. God, the one I praise, please don't remain silent,
2 Halang kah a ka neh hlangthai palat kah a ka te kai taengah ong uh tih a lai loh a honghi a thui uh.
because wicked and deceitful people are attacking me, telling lies about me.
3 Hmuhuetnah olka neh kai m'vael uh tih a honghi nen khaw kai n'nen uh.
They surround me with words of hate, fighting against me for no reason.
4 Kai kah lungnah dongah kai n'khingkhoek uh cakhaw kai loh thangthuinah ka khueh pah.
I love them, but they respond with hostility towards me, even while I'm praying for them!
5 Hno then te kai taengah boethae neh, kai kah lungnah te hmuhuetnah neh a khueh uh.
They pay me back with evil instead of good, with hatred instead of love.
6 Anih te halang loh cawh saeh lamtah a bantang kut ah Satan pai pah saeh.
“Appoint someone wicked over him. Have someone stand as an accuser against him.
7 Anih te laitloek vaengah a halang phoe pah saeh lamtah a thangthuinah te tholh la poeh saeh.
When he is judged and sentenced, may he be found guilty. Let his prayers be counted as sins.
8 A hing tue khaw a bawn la om saeh lamtah, a cawhnah te hlang tloe loh rhawt saeh.
May his life be short; let someone else take over his position.
9 A ca rhoek te cadah la, a yuu khaw nuhmai la om uh saeh.
May his children be left fatherless, and his wife become a widow.
10 A ca rhoek khaw poeng poeng uh saeh lamtah buh bih uh saeh. A imrhong khui lamkah vawtthaih uh saeh.
May his children be homeless, wandering beggars, driven from their ruined houses.
11 A khueh boeih te puhlah loh n'hlaeh saeh lamtah a thaphu te kholong loh poelyoe pah saeh.
May creditors seize all that he owns; may strangers take all that he worked for.
May no one be kind to him; may no one take pity on his fatherless children.
13 A hmailong kah cadilcahma te phae la om saeh lamtah a ming khaw a tloe la hmata bal saeh.
May his descendants die; may his family name be wiped out in the next generation.
14 A napa rhoek kathaesainah te BOEIPA hmaiah poek saeh lamtah a manu kah tholhnah te hmata boel saeh.
May the Lord be reminded of the sins of his fathers; may his mother's sins not be blotted out.
May their sins be constantly before the Lord; may his name be totally forgotten by people.
16 Sitlohnah khueh ham poek pawt tih khodaeng lungma neh thinko aka paeng hlang te duek sak ham a hloem.
For he didn't think to be kind to others, instead he harassed and killed the poor, the needy, the brokenhearted.
17 Rhunkhuennah te a lungnah dongah amah tlak thil saeh. Yoethennah khuiah a naem pawt dongah a taeng lamkah vikvik lakhla saeh.
He loved to put a curse on others—let it come back on him. He had no time for blessings—so may he never receive any.
18 Rhunkhuennah te khaw a himbai la bai saeh lamtah a kotak khuiah tui bangla, a rhuh khuiah khaw situi bangla kun pah saeh.
He cursed as often as he got dressed. May his curses go into him like the water he drinks, like the olive oil he rubs on his skin that enters his bones.
19 Amah te himbai cun bangla om pah saeh lamtah cihin bangla yen taitu saeh.
May his curses stick to him like clothing, may they be pulled tight around him like a belt.”
20 Hekah he BOEIPA taeng lamkah kai aka khingkhoek rhoek neh ka hinglu he a thae la aka thui rhoek kah thaphu la om saeh.
May all this be the punishment of the Lord on my enemies, on those who speak evil of me.
But treat me well, Lord God, because of your own reputation. Save me because you are faithful and good.
22 Kai tah mangdaeng neh khodaeng la ka om tih ka lungbuei khaw ka kotak ah thiip coeng.
For I am poor and needy, and my heart is breaking.
23 Khokhawn a khuup vaengkah bangla ka khum tih kaisih bangla ka congpet.
I am fading away like an evening shadow; I am like a locust that is shaken off.
24 Yaehnah dongah ka khuklu hlinghlawk tih ka pum dongkah ka tha khaw pim coeng.
I am so weak from lack of food that my legs give way; my body is just skin and bones.
25 Te vaengah kai he amih kah kokhahnah la ka om tih kai m'hmuh uh vaengah a lu a hinghuen uh.
People ridicule me—they look at me and shake their heads!
26 BOEIPA ka Pathen aw kai n'bom lah. Namah kah sitlohnah vanbangla kai n'khang lah.
Help me, Lord my God; save me because of your trustworthy love.
May they recognize that this is what you are doing—that you are the one who saves me.
Tlai thil uh cakhaw yahpok uh saeh lamtah na sal loh a kohoe saeh.
When they curse me, you will bless me. When they attack me, you will defeat them. And I, your servant, will be happy.
29 Kai aka khingkhoek rhoek te mingthae loh a vuei uh vetih amamih kah yahopohnah loh hnikul bangla cun uh ni.
May those who accuse me be clothed with disgrace; may they cover themselves with a cloak of shame.
But I will keep on thanking the Lord, praising him to everyone around me.
31 A hinglu aka boe sak lamloh khang ham khodaeng kah bantang ah a pai pah.
For he takes a stand to defend the needy, to save them from those who condemn them.
