3 Herod a loh a maya Philip kah yuu rho Herodias kongah Johan te a tuuk, a khih tih thongim ah a khueh.
For Herod had arrested John, and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife.

For John said to him, "It is not lawful for you to have her."

And though he wanted to kill him, he feared the crowd because they regarded him as a prophet.

But when Herod's birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced among them and pleased Herod.

and he sent and beheaded John in the prison.

Now when evening had come, the disciples came to him, saying, "This place is desolate, and the hour is already late. Send the crowds away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food."
16 Tedae Jesuh loh, “Amih caeh ham a ngoe pawh. Namamih loh amih kah a caak ham te pae uh,” a ti nah.

Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"
