And having risen from there, He comes to the coasts of Judea, through the other side of the Jordan, and again multitudes come together to Him, and as He had been accustomed, again He was teaching them.
2 Tedae Pharisee rhoek loh a paan tih, “Te koinih tongpa te yuu a hlak sak a? tila a dawt uh tih Jesuh te a noemcai uh.
And the Pharisees, having come near, questioned Him if it is lawful for a husband to put away a wife, tempting Him,
3 Tedae amih te a doo tih, “Moses loh nangmih balae n' uen,” a ti nah.
and He answering said to them, “What did Moses command you?”
4 Te dongah amih loh, “Moses loh yuhlaknah cayol te a daek sak phoeiah a tueih sak,” a ti uh.
And they said, “Moses permitted to write a bill of divorce, and to put away.”
5 Tedae Jesuh loh amih te, “Nangmih kah thinthahnah kongah hekah olpaek he nangmih ham a daek.
And Jesus answering said to them, “For the stiffness of your heart he wrote you this command,
6 Suentae cuek lamkah tongpa neh huta ni a saii.
but from the beginning of the creation God made them a male and a female;
7 Te dongah tongpa loh a manu neh a napa te a toeng vetih a yuu taengah kap ni.
on this account will a man leave his father and mother, and will cleave to his wife,
8 Panit te pumsa khat la om ni. Te dongah panit voel pawt tih pumsa khat la om coeng.
and they will be—the two—for one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh;
9 Te dongah Pathen loh a samtom te hlang loh maa sak boel saeh,” a ti nah.
what God therefore joined together, do not let man separate.”
10 Im ah khaw hekah a kawng he hnukbang rhoek loh koep a dawt uh.
And in the house His disciples again questioned Him of the same thing,
11 Te vaengah amih te, “A yuu te a hlak tih a tloe aka yunah te tah a yuu soah samphaih coeng.
and He says to them, “Whoever may put away his wife, and may marry another, commits adultery against her;
12 Huta long khaw a va te a maa tih va tloe a sak atah samphaih coeng,” a ti nah.
and if a woman may put away her husband, and is married to another, she commits adultery.”
13 Te phoeiah camoe rhoek te taek sak ham a taengla a khuen uh. Tedae hnukbang rhoek loh amih te a ho uh.
And they were bringing to Him children that He might touch them, and the disciples were rebuking those bringing them,
14 A hmuh vaengah Jesuh loh a yakdam tih amih te, “Hlah uh laeh camoe rhoek te kamah taengah ha lo uh saeh. Amih te kang uh boeh. Pathen kah ram tah amih kah coeng ni.
and Jesus having seen, was much displeased, and He said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the Kingdom of God;
15 Nangmih taengah rhep ka thui, camoe bangla Pathen kah ram te aka doe pawt te atah ram khuiah kun loengloeng mahpawh,” a ti nah.
truly I say to you, whoever may not receive the Kingdom of God as a child—he may not enter into it”;
16 Te phoeiah amih te a poem tih a uem dongah kut a tloeng thil.
and having taken them in His arms, having put [His] hands on them, He was blessing them.
17 Te phoeiah Jesuh te longpueng ah a caeh li vaengah hlang pakhat loh pak ha cu tih a cungkueng pah. Te phoeiah, “Saya then dungyan hingnah ka pang ham balae ka saii eh?,” tila a dawt. (aiōnios g166)
And as He is going forth into the way, one having run and having kneeled to Him, was questioning Him, “Good Teacher, what may I do that I may inherit continuous life?” (aiōnios g166)
18 Jesuh loh anih te, “Balae tih kai he a then na ti? Pathen pakhat bueng pawt atah aka then he om pawh.
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one [is] good except one—God;
19 Olpaek te na ming coeng hlang ngawn boeh, samphaih boeh, huencan boeh, laithae boeh, hmuiyoi boeh, na nu na pa te hinyah,” a ti nah.
you have known the commands: You may not commit adultery, You may not murder, You may not steal, You may not bear false witness, You may not defraud, Honor your father and mother.”
20 Te vaengah anih loh, “Saya, te rhoek te ka camoe lamkah boeih ka tuem coeng,” a ti nah.
And he answering said to Him, “Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.”
21 Tedae Jesuh loh anih te a sawt vaengah a lungnah tih, “Nang pakhat na phavawt pueng, cet lamtah, na khueh boeih te yoi lamtah khodeng rhoek pae. Te daengah ni vaan ah khohrhang na dang eh. Te phoeiah halo lamtah kai m'vai,” a ti nah.
And Jesus having looked on him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: go away, whatever you have—sell, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven, and come, follow Me, having taken up the cross.”
22 Tedae hnopai muep aka khueh la a om dongah tekah olka loh moelh a khaih tih kothae doela vik cet.
And he—gloomy at the word—went away sorrowing, for he was having many possessions.
23 Te vaengah Jesuh loh taengvai a sawt tih a hnukbang rhoek te, “Tangka aka om tah Pathen ram ah kun ham bahoeng kuel mai,” a ti nah.
And Jesus having looked around, says to His disciples, “How hardly will they who have riches enter into the Kingdom of God!”
24 Te dongah Jesuh olka dongah hnukbang rhoek tah a ngaihmang uh. Tedae Jesuh loh amih te koep a doo tih, “Camoe rhoek aih khaw, Pathen kah ram la kun ham te kuel kahlak la om ta.
And the disciples were astonished at His words, and Jesus again answering says to them, “Children, how hard it is to those trusting on riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!
25 Kuirhang te Pathen kah ram ah a kun lakah kalauk te phamet khui ah a kun ham phoeng ngai,” a ti nah.
It is easier for a camel to enter through the eye of the needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”
26 Tedae te rhoek tah let uh khungdaeng tih amamih te, “Unim aka daem thai ve,” a ti uh.
And they were astonished beyond measure, saying to themselves, “And who is able to be saved?”
27 Jesuh loh amih te a sawt tih, “Hlang ham a tloelnah dae Pathen ham tah a tloelnah moenih Pathen taengah tah boeih yoeikoek mai,” a ti nah.
And Jesus, having looked on them, says, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
28 Peter loh a tong tih, “Kaimih loh boeih ka toeng uh tih nang kam vai uh coeng he,” a ti nah.
And Peter began to say to Him, “Behold, we left all, and we followed You.”
29 Jesuh loh, “Nangmih taengah rhep kan thui, kai ham neh olthangthen ham im khaw, manuca rhoek khaw, ngannu khaw, manu khaw, napa khaw, ca khaw lohmuen khaw aka toeng te om pawh.
And Jesus answering said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for My sake, and for the good news’,
30 Tahae tue kah hnaemtaeknah khuiah pataeng im khaw, manuca khaw, ngannu khaw, manu khaw, ca khaw, lohmuen khaw a pueh yakhat la dang het pawt nim? Aka lo ham tue ah dungyan hingnah khaw om pueng. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
who may not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and fields, with persecutions, and in the age that is coming, continuous life; (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Te dongah lamhma te lamhnuk la, lamhnuk te khaw lamhma la muep om ni,” a ti nah.
and many first will be last, and the last first.”
32 Jerusalem la a caeh uh kah longpueng ah a om uh vaengah Jesuh tah amih taengah a lamhma ana om pah. Te dongah a ngaihmang uh tih aka vai rhoek long khaw a rhih uh. Tedae hlainit te koep a khuen tih amah taengah aka thoeng ham te amih taengah thui ham a tong.
And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them, and they were amazed, and following they were afraid. And having again taken the Twelve, He began to tell them the things about to happen to Him:
33 “Jerusalem la n'caeh uh he hlang capa tah khosoihham neh cadaek rhoek taengah a paek vetih a duek ham a boe sak uh phoeiah namtom rhoek taengah a thak uh ni.
“Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests, and to the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and will deliver Him to the nations,
34 Anih te a tamdaeng uh phoeiah a timthoeih uh ni, a boh uh vetih a ngawn uh ni. Tedae hnin thum phoeiah koep thoo ni,” a ti nah.
and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him, and the third day He will rise again.”
35 Te vaengah Zebedee capa rhoi James neh Johan loh a paan rhoi tih, “Saya namah taengah kan bih uh te tah kaimih ham nan saii koinih ka ngaih rhoi,” a ti nah.
And there come near to Him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying, “Teacher, we wish that whatever we may ask for ourselves, You may do for us”;
36 Te dongah Jesuh loh amih rhoi te, “Nangmih ham kai balae saii sak na ngaih rhoi,” a ti nah.
and He said to them, “What do you wish Me to do for you?”
37 Te rhoi long khaw amah te, “Kaimih rhoi he namah kah bantang lamloh pakhat, banvoei lamloh pakhat te m'pae lamtah na thangpomnah dongah ka ngol rhoi eh,” a ti nah.
And they said to Him, “Grant to us that, one on Your right hand and one on Your left, we may sit in Your glory”;
38 Jesuh loh amih rhoi taengah, “Na bih te na ming rhoi moenih. Ka ok boengloeng te ok ham neh kai aka nuem baptisma dongah nuem ham na noeng aya?,” a ti nah.
and Jesus said to them, “You have not known what you ask; are you able to drink of the cup that I drink of, and with the immersion that I am immersed with—to be immersed?”
39 Te vaengah te rhoi loh amah te, “Ka noeng ngawn,” a ti nah rhoi. Tedae Jesuh loh amih rhoi taengah, “Ka ok boengloeng te na ok rhoi vetih ka nuem baptisma te na nuem rhoi ni.
And they said to Him, “We are able”; and Jesus said to them, “Of the cup indeed that I drink of, you will drink, and with the immersion that I am immersed with, you will be immersed;
40 Tedae kai kah banvoei bantang ah ngol ham te kai loh paek ham om pawt tih a hmoel tangtae rhoek ham ni a om,” a ti nah.
but to sit on My right and on My left is not Mine to give, but—to those for whom it has been prepared.”
41 Parha rhoek loh a yaak uh vaengah James neh Johan taengah koe thatlai uh.
And the ten having heard, began to be much displeased at James and John,
42 Te dongah Jesuh loh amih te a khue tih, “Namtom rhoek aka mawt tah amamih aka vueinan tih amamih khuikah aka len loh amih aka huttet la a ngai uh te na ming uh.
but Jesus having called them near, says to them, “You have known that they who are considered to rule the nations exercise lordship over them, and their great ones exercise authority on them;
43 Nangmih ah te tlam te om boel saeh. Tedae nangmih ah a len la om aka ngaih long tah nangmih kah tueihyoeih la om saeh.
but not so will it be among you; but whoever may will to become great among you, he will be your minister,
44 Te phoeiah nangmih ah lamhma la om ham aka ngaih long tah hlang boeih kah sal la om saeh.
and whoever of you may will to become first, he will be servant of all;
45 Hlang capa tah hlang thotat sak ham pawt tih sak ham pah ham neh a hinglu te ping kah tlansum la paek ham ni halo,” a ti nah.
for even the Son of Man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give His life [as] a ransom for many.”
46 Te phoeiah Jerikho la pawk uh tih Jerikho lamkah a hnukbang rhoek khaw, hlangping khaw huhut khong uh. Te vaengah Timaeus capa Bartimaeus buhbih mikdael te long taengah ngol.
And they come to Jericho, and as He is going forth from Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, a son of Timaeus—Bartimaeus the blind—was sitting beside the way begging,
47 Nazareth Jesuh om tila a yaak vaengah koe pang tih, “David capa Jesuh kai n'rhen lah,” a ti nah.
and having heard that it is Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and to say, “The Son of David—Jesus! Deal kindly with me”;
48 Te dongah anih te hilphah sak ham muep a sim uh. Tedae te long khaw anah la lat pang tih, “David capa, kai n'rhen lah,” a ti.
and many were rebuking him that he might keep silent, but the more abundantly he cried out, “Son of David, deal kindly with me.”
49 Te dongah Jesuh te pai tih, “Anih ke khue uh,” a ti nah. Te dongah mikdael te a khue uh tih, “Thoo, na ngaimong sak, nang n'khue coeng,” a ti nauh.
And Jesus having stood, He commanded him to be called, and they call the blind man, saying to him, “Take courage, rise, He calls you”;
50 Te long khaw a himbai te a voeih tih a cungpet doela Jesuh taengah pawk.
and he, having cast away his garment, having risen, came to Jesus.
51 Te phoeiah Jesuh loh anih te a doo tih, “Na ngaih te kan saii pawn eh,” a ti nah. Te dongah mikdael loh Jesuh taengah, “Rhabboni, ka hmuh van lah mako,” a ti nah.
And answering, Jesus says to him, “What do you will I may do to you?” And the blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may see again”;
52 Te vaengah Jesuh loh anih te, “Cet laeh, namah kah tangnah loh nang n'khang coeng,” a ti nah. Te vaengah tlek a hmuh tih longpueng ah Jeusuh pahoi a vai.
and Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has saved you”: and immediately he saw again, and was following Jesus in the way.
