And the apostles, when they were returned, declared unto him what things they had done. And he took them, and withdrew apart to a city called Bethsaida.

But the multitudes perceiving it followed him: and he welcomed them, and spake to them of the kingdom of God, and them that had need of healing he cured.

And the day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and country round about, and lodge, and get provisions: for we are here in a desert place.
13 Tedae hnukbang rhoek te, “Amih kah a caak ham te nangmih loh pae uh,” a ti nah. Te vaengah amih loh, “He Pilnam pum ham caak aka lai la ka cet uh pawt koinih, vaidam panga neh nga panit lakah aka yet te kaimih taengah om voel pawh,” a ti uh.

14 Te vaengah hlang thawngnga tluk om uh. Tedae a hnukbang rhoek te, “Amih te a boel pakhat ah hlang sawmnga tluk rhip ngol sak,” a ti nah.
For they were about five thousand men. And he said unto his disciples, Make them sit down in companies, about fifty each.
15 Te dongah a saii uh van tih boeih a ngol sakuh.
And they did so, and made them all sit down.
16 Te phoeiah vaidam panga neh nga panit te a loh. Vaan la oeloe tih a uem phoeiah a aeh tih hlangping te patoeng paek hamla hnukbang rhoek taengah a paek.
And he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake; and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.
17 A caak uh tih boeih a hah uh phoeiah a coih a nueipil te voh hlainit la a phueih uh.
And they ate, and were all filled: and there was taken up that which remained over to them of broken pieces, twelve baskets.

And it came to pass, as he was praying apart, the disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Who do the multitudes say that I am?
19 A doo uh tih, “Hlangvang loh tuinuem Johan, Elijah, hlangvang bal loh khosuen kah tonghma pakhat khat koep thoo,’ a ti uh,” a ti nah.
And they answering said, John the Baptist; but others [say], Elijah; and others, that one of the old prophets is risen again.
20 Te phoeiah amamih te, “Nangmih long tah kai he ulae na ti uh?,” a ti nah. Te vaengah Peter loh a doo tih, “Pathen kah Khrih ni,” a ti nah.
And he said unto them, But who say ye that I am? And Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
21 Tedae amih te a ho tih te te thui pawt ham a uen.
But he charged them, and commanded [them] to tell this to no man;

For what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose or forfeit his own self?

27 Tedae nangmih taengah rhep kan thui. Hekah aka pai khuiah hlangvang om. Amih loh Pathen kah ram he a ming uh hlan atah dueknah te ten uh mueh mahpawh,” a ti nah.
But I tell you of a truth, There are some of them that stand here, who shall in no wise taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
28 He kah olka a poeng phoeikah hnin rhet tluk ah, Peter, Johan neh James te a khuen tih tlang la thangthui ham a caeh puei.
And it came to pass about eight days after these sayings, that he took with him Peter and John and James, and went up into the mountain to pray.
29 A thangthui vaengah a maelhmai kah a mueimae loh a tloe la om tih a pueinak te a bok la khooi.
And as he was praying, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment [became] white [and] dazzling.
30 Te vaengah hlang panit loh anih te tarha a voek rhoi. Amih rhoi tah Moses neh Elijah ni.
And behold, there talked with him two men, who were Moses and Elijah;

who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
32 Tedae Peter neh a taengkah rhoi tah a ih neh bakba a hap uh tih om uh. A haenghang uh vaengah a thangpomnah te a hmuh uh tih a taengah hlang panit ana pai pah.
Now Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
33 Amih rhoi te Jesuh taeng lamloh a khoe uh phoeiah Peter loh Jesuh te, “Boeipa, he ah he mamih ng'om uh ham then, dap pathum ah tuk uh sih, namah ham pakhat, Moses ham pakhat, Elijah ham pakhat saeh,” a ti nah tih a thui nawn te khaw ming pawh.
And it came to pass, as they were parting from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah: not knowing what he said.
34 Te te a a thui vaengah muei yal tih amih te a dah. Te dongah muei khuila a kun uh te khaw a rhih uh.
And while he said these things, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
35 Muei khui lamkah ol ha thoeng tih, “Anih tah ka tuek ka ca ni, a ol hnatun pa uh,” a ti.
And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my Son, my chosen: hear ye him.
36 Ol a thui bawt ah Jesuh tah amah bueng te tueng. Amih khaw kam a khuem uh tih te khohnin ah a hmuh uh te puen uh pawh.
And when the voice came, Jesus was found alone. And they held their peace, and told no man in those days any of the things which they had seen.
37 Hnin at om tih a vuen ah amih te tlang lamloh suntla uh. Te vaengah Jesuh te hlangping loh muep a doe.
And it came to pass, on the next day, when they were come down from the mountain, a great multitude met him.
38 Te vaengah hlang pakhat te hlangping khui lamloh tarha pang tih, “Saya, kai ham tah khueh duen la a om dongah, ka capa te nan paelki ham kam bih.
And behold, a man from the multitude cried, saying, Teacher, I beseech thee to look upon my son; for he is mine only child:
39 Anih te mueihla loh a tuuk tarha vaengah tah buengrhuet pang tih, tolhom neh suvaih. Anih te mat a ngawn a thaeh daengah a mael tak.
and behold, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth, and it hardly departeth from him, bruising him sorely.
40 Mueihla aka haek la na hnukbang rhoek te ka hloep dae coeng thai pawh,” a ti nah.
And I besought thy disciples to cast it out; and they could not.
41 Te dongah Jesuh loh a doo tih, “Aka tangnahmueh neh pamdah cadil aw, nangmih taengah mevaeng hil nim ka om vetih nangmih te ka yaknaem ve? Na capa te he la han thak,” a ti nah.
And Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and bear with you? bring hither thy son.
42 A taengla ham paan vaengah camoe te rhaithae loh a voeih dongah thuen pueng. Tedae Jesuh loh mueihla thae te a ho daengah, camoe te hoeih tih a napa taengla a mael.
And as he was yet a coming, the demon dashed him down, and tare [him] grievously. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.
43 Te dongah Pathen kah a lennah soah boeih let uh tih, a hnukbang rhoek taengkah a thui neh a saii boeih soah boeih a ngaihmang uh.
And they were all astonished at the majesty of God. But while all were marvelling at all the things which he did, he said unto his disciples,
44 Te vaengah, “He kah ol he na hna ah namamih loh dueh uh. Hlang capa tah hlang kut ah voeih ham cai coeng,” a ti nah.
Let these words sink into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered up into the hands of men.
45 Tedae he olthui he a mangvawt uh. Te te a hmuhming pawt ham ni amih ham a phah la om coeng. Te dongah he olthui he amah dawt ham a rhih uh.
But they understood not this saying, and it was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
46 Tedae amamih khuiah ulae tanglue la aka om eh tila amamih khuiah poeknah a kun pah.
And there arose a reasoning among them, which of them was the greatest.
47 Jesuh loh amih thinko poeknah te a hmuh dongah camoe a loh tih amah taengah a pai sak.
But when Jesus saw the reasoning of their heart, he took a little child, and set him by his side,
48 Te vaengah, “He camoe he ka ming neh aka doe long tah kai ni n'doe. Ka tueih aka doe long tah kai ni n'doe. Nangmih boeih lakli ah a diknoi la kho aka sa tah tanglue la om ni,” a ti nah.
and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this little child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same is great.
49 Johan loh a doo tih, “Boeipa, nang ming neh rhaithae aka haek hlang pakhat ka hmuh uh. Tedae mamih taengah a bang pawt dongah anih te ka paa sak uh,” a ti nah.
And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us.
50 Tedae anih te Jesuh loh, “Paa sak uh boeh, nangmih kah a kingkalh la aka om pawt te tah nangmih ham ni a om,” a ti nah.
But Jesus said unto him, Forbid [him] not: for he that is not against you is for you.
51 A lueinah khohnin te a paan tom coeng dongah Jesuh tah Jerusalem la caeh ham a maelhmai a hooi.
And it came to pass, when the days were well-nigh come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
52 Te dongah puencawn rhoek te a hmai ah a tueih. Te vaengah cet uh tih Jesuh ham aka rhuengphong la Samaria kho khuila kun uh.
and sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
53 Tedae Jerusalem la cet tih a maelhmai tueng ham a om dongah anih te doe uh pawh.
And they did not receive him, because his face was [as though he were] going to Jerusalem.
54 A hnukbang James neh Johan loh a hmuh rhoi vaengah, “Boeipa, vaan lamkah hmai suntlak sak ham neh amih hlawp sak ham khue na ngaih a?” a ti nah rhoi.
And when his disciples James and John saw [this], they said, Lord, wilt thou that we bid fire to come down from heaven, and consume them?
55 A mael thil tih amih rhoi te a ho.
But he turned, and rebuked them.
56 Te dongah kho tloe la vik cet uh.
And they went to another village.
57 Long ah a caeh uh vaengah hlang pakhat loh, “Mela na caeh akhaw nang kam vai ni,” a ti nah.
And as they went on the way, a certain man said unto him, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
58 Te vaengah Jesuh loh anih te, “Metang loh a khui, vaan kah vaa long khaw bu a khuehuh. Tedae hlang capa tah lu a tloeng nah khaw khueh pawh,” a ti nah.
And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven [have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
59 Te phoeiah a tloe taengah, “Kai m'vai lah,” a ti nah. Tedae, te long te, “Boeipa, a pa up ham lamhma la kai n'caeh sak mai,” a ti nah.
And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Tedae anih te, “Aka duek rhoek up ham aka duek rhoek te hlah pah. Tedae nang tah cet lamtah Pathen kah ram te doek ngawn,” a ti nah.
But he said unto him, Leave the dead to bury their own dead; but go thou and publish abroad the kingdom of God.
61 Te phoeiah pakhat long khaw, “Nang kam vai van ni Boeipa, tedae kai tah ka im kah rhoek te lamhma la m'phih sak dae,” a ti nah.
And another also said, I will follow thee, Lord; but first suffer me to bid farewell to them that are at my house.
62 Tedae anih te Jesuh loh, “Laithol cung te kut a tloeng thil tih a hnuk la aka dan pawt ni Pathen kah ram ham aka ting la a om,” a ti nah.
But Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
