1 Jesuh tah Jordan lamloh Mueihla Cim a baetawt la mael tih Mueihla loh khosoek la a khuen.
And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, turned back from the Jordan, and was brought in the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 Rhaithae loh khohnin sawmli a noemcai. Tekah khohnin vaengah caak pakhat khaw a caak kolla bungpong neh a thok sak.
being tempted by the Devil forty days, and He did not eat anything in those days, and they having been ended, He afterward hungered,
3 Te vaengah anih te rhaithae loh, “Pathen capa la na om atah, lungto he voek lamtah buh la poeh saeh,” a ti nah.
and the Devil said to Him, “If You are [the] Son of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.”
4 Te dongah anih te Jesuh loh, “'Hlang long he buh bueng neh hing boel saeh, 'tila a daek coeng ta,” a ti nah.
And Jesus answered him, saying, “It has been written, that, Not on bread only will man live, but on every saying of God.”
5 Te phoeiah anih te a khuen tih a tue kolkalh rhuet ah lunglai kah ram rhoek te boeih a tueng.
And the Devil having brought Him up to a high mountain, showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time,
6 Te vaengah anih te rhaithae loh, “Hekah saithainah boeih neh a thangpomnah he nang kam pae eh?, kai taengah m'paek coeng dongah ka ngaih te tah ka paek mai.
and the Devil said to Him, “To You I will give all this authority, and their glory, because to me it has been delivered, and to whomsoever I will, I give it;
7 Te dongah, nang khaw kai taengah na bakop atah nang hamla boeih om bitni,” a ti nah.
You, then, if You may worship me—all will be Yours.”
8 Tedae Jesuh loh anih te a doo tih, “A daek tangtae coeng ni, BOEIPA na Pathen mah bawk lamtah amah bueng mah thothueng,” a ti nah.
And Jesus answering him said, “[[Get behind Me, Satan, for]] it has been written: You will worship the LORD your God, and Him only you will serve.”
9 Te phoeiah anih te Jerusalem la a khuen tih bawkim kah tlungsoi ah a pai sak. Te vaengah anih te, “Pathen capa la na om atah, he lamloh namah te cungpung thuk.
And he brought Him to Jerusalem, and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down from here,
10 A daek tangtae vanbangla amah kah puencawn rhoek te nang aka khoem ham namah yueng a uen bitni.
for it has been written: To His messengers He will give charge concerning you, to guard over you;
11 Na kho te lungto dongah na tongtah ve a ti dongah nang te a kut neh n'dom uh bitni,” a ti nah.
and: On hands they will bear you up, lest at any time you may dash your foot against a stone.”
12 Tedae anih Jesuh loh a doo tih, “A thui coeng te ta, BOEIPA na Pathen te noemcai boeh,” a ti nah.
And Jesus answering said to him, “It has been said, You will not tempt the LORD your God.”
13 Rhaithae loh a noemcainah te boeih a soep coeng dongah a tuetang a pha hlan duela anih taeng lamloh nong.
And having ended all temptation, the Devil departed from Him until a convenient season.
14 Jesuh tah Mueihla kah thaomnah neh Galilee la mael. Te vaengah anih kah olthang te te rhoek pingpang tom ah cet.
And Jesus turned back in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a fame went forth through all the surrounding region concerning Him,
15 Amamih kah tunim ah khaw a thuituen tih hlang boeih loh a thangpom.
and He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
16 Te phoeiah aka khut a om nah Nazareth la pawk. Tedae a sainoek bangla Sabbath hnin ah tunim khuila kun tih ca tae hamla pai.
And He came to Nazareth, where He has been brought up, and He went in, according to His custom, on the day of the Sabbaths, into the synagogue, and stood up to read;
17 Te vaengah anih te tonghma Isaiah kah cabu te a doe uh. Cabu te a hlam vaengah tekah hmuen ah a daek tangtae aka om te a hmuh;
and there was given over to Him a scroll of Isaiah the prophet, and having unfolded the scroll, He found the place where it has been written:
18 BOEIPA Mueihla loh kai n'om thil tih khodaeng te olthangthen phong pah ham kai ng'koelh coeng. Hlangsol taengah khodawkngainah, mikdael taengah khoval te hoe pah ham, a haemtaek rhoek te khodawkngainah khuila tueih ham,
“The Spirit of the LORD [is] on Me, Because He anointed Me To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent Me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send the bruised away with deliverance,
19 BOEIPA kah kum uem om te hoe ham kai n'tueih coeng.
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
20 Cabu te a awn tih tueihyoeih taengla a mael phoeiah ngol. Te dongah tunim ah aka om rhoek kah a mik loh anih te boeih a hmaitang uh.
And having folded the scroll, having given [it] back to the officer, He sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing on Him.
21 Te dongah amih te, “Tihnin ah olcim he nangmih hna khuiah soep coeng,” pahoi a ti nah.
And He began to say to them, “Today this writing has been fulfilled in your ears”;
22 Te vaengah anih te boeih a oep uh tih a ka lamkah aka thoeng lungvatnah olka dongah a ngaihmang uh. Te dongah, “Joseph capa moenih a he?,” a ti uh.
and all were bearing testimony to Him, and were wondering at the gracious words that are coming forth out of His mouth, and they said, “Is this not the Son of Joseph?”
23 Te dongah amih te, “Siboei la, 'Namah mah hoeih vaikhai,’ a ti, nuettahnah he kai taengah na thui uh tangkhuet. Kapernaum ah aka om te boeih ka yaak uh coeng, he khaw namah tolrhum ah saii,’ na ti uh.
And He said to them, “Certainly you will say to Me this allegory, Physician, heal yourself; as great things as we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country”;
24 Tedae nangmih taengah rhep ka thui, Amah tolrhum ah a uem uh tonghma a om moenih.
and He said, “Truly I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country;
25 Nangmih te oltak ni kan thui. Elijah tue vaengah Israel khuiah nuhmai muep om. Te vaengah vaan ke kum thum hla rhuk a khaih tih, khokha loh diklai pum ah muep om.
and of a truth I say to you, many widows were in the days of Elijah, in Israel, when the sky was shut for three years and six months, when great famine came on all the land,
26 Te vaengah Sidoni Zarephath kah nuhmai nu taeng pawt atah amih taengla Elijah a tueih moenih.
and to none of them was Elijah sent, but—to Sarepta of Sidon, to a woman, a widow;
27 Tonghma Elisha tue vaengah Israel khuiah hmaibae muep om dae, Syria Naaman pawt atah amih a cing pah moenih,” a ti nah.
and many lepers were in the time of Elisha the prophet, in Israel, and none of them was cleansed, but—Naaman the Syrian.”
28 Te rhoek te a yaak uh vaengah tunim khuikah rhoek tah a thinsanah neh boeih hah uh.
And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, hearing these things,
29 Te dongah thoo uh tih Jesuh te kho voel la a haek uh. Anih te tulh ham amamih kah a sak khopuei tlang kah pango la a khuen uh.
and having risen, they put Him forth outside the city, and brought Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built—to cast Him down headlong,
30 Tedae amih te a laklung ah a va tih cet.
and He, having gone through the midst of them, went away.
31 Te phoeiah Galilee khopuei, Kapernaum la suntla thuk tih, Sabbath vaengah amih aka thuituen la pahoi om.
And He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths,
32 A ol tah saithainah neh a om dongah a thuituennah te a ngaihmang uh.
and they were astonished at His teaching, because His word was with authority.
33 Te vaengah rhaithae kah rhalawt mueihla aka kaem hlang te tunim khuiah om tih ol ue la pang.
And in the synagogue was a man having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a great voice,
34 “Aya! Nazareth Jesuh, nang taeng neh kaimih taengah balae aka om? Kaimih aka poci sak ham nim na pawk? Nang te kan ming ta, Pathen kah hlangcim la na om ta,” a ti.
“Aah! What [regards] us and You, Jesus, O Nazarene? You came to destroy us; I have known who You are—the Holy One of God!”
35 Tedae anih te Jesuh loh a ho tih, “Paa lamtah anih lamloh cet,” a ti nah. Te dongah anih te rhaithae loh a laklung la a voeih tih a tloh kolla anih te a caeh tak.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silenced, and come forth out of him”; and the demon having cast him into the midst, came forth from him, having hurt him nothing;
36 Te vaengah ngaihmangnah loh boeih a thoeng thil uh. Te dongah khat neh khat te voek uh tih, “Mebang olka nim he, saithainah neh a thaomnah dongah rhalawt mueihla rhoek a tueih tih, a caeh uh mai he,” a ti uh.
and amazement came on all, and they were speaking together with one another, saying, “What [is] this word, that with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come forth?”
37 Te dongah Jesuh kah olhum tah te rhoekg pingpang kah a hmuen boeih la pawk.
And there was going forth a fame concerning Him to every place of the surrounding region.
38 Tunim lamloh thoo tih Simon im la kun. Te vaengah Simon masae te satloh om tih a nan malcal. Te dongah anih kongah Jesuh te a dawt uh.
And having risen out of the synagogue, He entered into the house of Simon, and the mother-in-law of Simon was pressed with a great fever, and they asked Him about her,
39 Anih te a pai thil tih tloh te a ho daengah anih te tloh loh a hlah. Te dongah pahoi thoo tih amih te a kok.
and having stood over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately, having risen, she was ministering to them.
40 Khomik a tlak vaengah tlohtat cungkuem neh tattloel la aka om boeih te Jesuh taengla a khuen uh. Amih pakhat rhip te kut a tloeng thil tih amih te a hoeih sak.
And at the setting of the sun, all, as many as had any ailing with manifold diseases, brought them to Him, and He, having put hands on each one of them, healed them.
41 A yet taeng lamkah rhaithae rhoek khaw nong uh. Te phoeiah pang uh tih, “Nang tah Pathen capa ni,” a ti nah. Anih te Khrih ni tila a ming uh dongah amih te a ho tih thui sak voel pawh.
And demons were also coming forth from many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God”; and rebuking, He did not permit them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.
42 Khothaih a pha vaengah khoe uh tih khosoek hmuen te a paan. Tedae hlangping loh anih te a toem uh tih anih te a paan uh. Te phoeiah amih taeng lamkah a nong pawt ham Jesuh te a tuuk uh.
And day having come, having gone forth, He went on to a desolate place, and the multitudes were seeking Him, and they came to Him, and were restraining Him—not to go on from them,
43 Tedae amih te, “Pathen kah ram te kho tloe rhoek taengah khaw ka thui ham a kuek dongah ni n'tueih,” a ti nah.
and He said to them, “Also to the other cities it is necessary for Me to proclaim good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this I have been sent”;
44 Te dongah Judea ah om tih tunim ah olthangthen a hoe.
and He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
