< Luka 24 >

1 Sabbath poeng kah a cuek hnin mincang hi ah bo-ul a hmoel te a khuen uh tih phuel la cet uh.
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 Tedae phuel lamkah lungto vik a paluet te a hmuh uh.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 A kun uh vaengah tah Boeipa Jesuh pum te hmu uh pawh.
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 He kawng dongah amamih te ingang la a om vaengah hlang panit te himbai leklek a phaa la tarha a pai pauh.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said to them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He ah a om moenih thoo coeng. Galilee ah a om vaengah nangmih taengah a thui te poek uh.
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke to you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 'Hlang capa he hlang tholh kut ah a voeih vetih a tai ni, a thum hnin ah a thoh ham a kuek,’ a ti ta,” a ti rhoi.
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 A ol te a poek uh van dongah,
And they remembered his words,
9 phuel lamloh bal uh tih hlaiat taeng neh a tloe rhoek boeih taengah puen uh.
And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 Te vaengah Magadala Mary, Joanna, Jakob manu Mary khaw om. Te phoeiah amih taengkah a tloe rhoek long khaw caeltueih rhoek taengah a thui pauh.
It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, who told these things to the apostles.
11 Tedae amih taengah tah cil ol bangla a om pah dongah a hnalval takuh.
And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12 Peter tah thoo tih phuel la yong. Te phoeiah a sawt thuk hatah himbai bueng te a hmuh. Te dongah amah khaw aka om hno dongah ngaihmang la khoe uh.
Then Peter arose, and ran to the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which had come to pass.
13 Amah tekah khohnin ah Jerusalem lamkah phalong sawmrhuk aka hla, a ming ah Emmaus vangca la khoem aka cet rhoi te om.
And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about sixty furlongs.
14 Amih rhoi loh te rhoek kah aka thoeng hno boeih te khatneh khat taengah a thui rhoi.
And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 A thui rhoi tih a oelh uh rhoi vaengah Jesuh amah long khaw a paan tih amih rhoi te a puei.
And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 Tedae anih te a hmat pawt ham a mik a buem bah.
But their eyes were restrained that they should not know him.
17 Te phoeiah amih rhoi te, “Aka cet paitai loh khatneh khat taengah na saep rhoi te mebang olka nim he,” a ti nah hatah a hmueprhut la pai rhoi.
And he said to them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 Te dongah Kleopas aka ming nah loh anih te a doo tih, “Namah loh Jerusalem te na kuepkol thil dae tihnin kah a khuiah aka om te na ming mahnim?” a ti nah.
And one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said to him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which have come to pass there in these days?
19 Te vaengah amih rhoi te, “Aba e te?” a ti nah. Te rhoi van loh amah te, “Nazareth Jesuh kawng ca, anih tah tonghma pa la om, a khoboe neh a ol khaw Pathen neh pilnam boeih taengah a thaom.
And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 Anih te mamih kah khosoihham rhoek neh boei rhoek loh dueknah neh laitloek thil ham a voeih uh tih a tai uh.
And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
21 Tedae Israel tlan ham aka cai tah anih ni tila kaimih loh ka ngaiuep uh. Te boeih te khaw a poeng tih, tahae kah hno a om lamloh a thum hnin pataeng a pha coeng he.
But we hoped that it had been he who should have redeemed Israel: and besides all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Kamamih khuikah huta hlangvang long khaw kaimih n'limlum sakuh. Phuel ah yue om uh coeng.
Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, who were early at the sepulchre;
23 Tedae a pum te hmu uh mueh la ha pawk uh. Puencawn rhoek kah mangthui a hmuh te khaw a thui uh. Amah a hing te amih loh a thui uh.
And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
24 Te dongah kaimih taengkah hlangvang tah phuel la cet uh. Te vaengah huta rhoek loh a thui bangla a hmuh uh van tangloeng tih amah te tah hmu uh pawh,” a ti nah rhoi.
And certain of them who were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Te vaengah amah loh amih rhoi te, “Hlangang rhoi aw, na thinko a rhihnun cukduk la, tonghma rhoek loh a thui te boeih tangnah rhoi saw.
Then he said to them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Khrih te a patang phoeiah a thangpomnah khuila a kun te a kuek moenih a?” a ti nah.
Ought not Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 Moses lamkah a tong tih tonghma rhoek boeih neh cacim boeih khuiah khaw amah kawng te amih ham a thuicaih pah coeng.
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 Vangca te vat a pha uh vaengah amah tah voelh cet la sa uh.
And they drew near to the village, where they were going: and he made as though he would go further.
29 Tedae amah te a hloh rhoi tih, “Kaimih rhoi taengah rhaeh mai, hlaem a pha tih khohnin khaw khum coeng,” a ti nah. Te dongah amih rhoi taengah rhaeh hamla kun.
But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 A tue a pha tih amih rhoi taengah a ngol puei. Vaidam te a loh tih a uem phoeiah a aeh tih amih rhoi te a paek.
And it came to pass, as he sat eating with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and broke, and gave to them.
31 Te vaengah a mik tah a tueng pah rhoi tih amah te a hmat rhoi. Tedae amah tah amih rhoi taeng lamloh vova a hma pah.
And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 Te daengah khatneh khat te, “Mamih rhoi kah thinko tah a ung moenih a? Longpueng ah mamih ham a thui bangla mamih rhoi taengah om pai, cacim he mamih rhoi khuiah puk pai,” a ti rhoi.
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 Te dongah amah tekah a tue ah thoo rhoi tih Jerusalem la bal rhoi. Te vaengah hlaikhat rhoek neh a taengkah rhoek ana tingtun uh te a hmuh rhoi.
And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 Boeipa tah thoo rhep tih Simon taengla a phoe te ana thui uh.
Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 Amih rhoi long khaw longpueng kah te a thui rhoi tih vaidam a aehnah nen te amih a ming sak.
And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known to them in breaking of bread.
36 A thui uh li vaengah amah te amih lakli ah a pai pah tih amih te, “Nangmih taengah ngaimongnah om saeh,” a ti nah.
And as they were thus speaking, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith to them, Peace be to you.
37 Tedae let uh tih mueihla aka hmuh bangla a poek uh dongah lakueng ngaiha la om uh.
But they were terrified and trembled, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 Te phoeiah amih te, “Balae tih, na thuen neh na om uh, poeknah te balae tih na thinko ah a phul?
And he said to them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Kai kamah ni tite ka kut rhoi neh ka kho rhoi he souh. Kai he n'phathuep uh lamtah m'ming uh, mueihla loh a saa neh a rhuh a khueh moenih, nam hmuh uh vanbangla kai ka khueh he,” a ti nah.
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 He he a thui phoeiah a kut rhoi neh a kho rhoi te amih a tueng.
And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 Tedae omngaihnah lamloh a hnalval uh pueng tih a ngaihmang uh dongah amih te, “Caakkoi khat khaw na khueh uh a he?” a ti nah.
And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said to them, Have ye here any thing to eat?
42 Amih loh amah te nga phoeng kaekvang a paek uh.
And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 Te dongah a doe tih amih hmaiah a caak pah.
And he took it, and ate before them.
44 Te phoeiah amih te, “Nangmih taengah ka om vaengah nangmih ham ka thui ka ol tah he ni. Moses kah olkhueng neh tonghma rhoek, tingtoeng dongah khaw kai kawng a daek te boeih a soep ham a kuek ta,” a ti nah.
And he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Te daengah cacim hmuhming ham te a lungbuei puk uh.
Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 Te dongah amih te, “Khrih a patang ham neh a thum hnin ah duek lamkah a thoh ham kha,
And said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 Jerusalem lamkah loh tong uh lamtah namtom boeih taengah tholh khodawkngainah ham yutnah te amah ming neh hoe ham a daek tangloeng coeng.
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 Nangmih tah he rhoek kah laipai rhoek ni.
And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 Kai loh nangmih taengah a pa kah olkhueh te kan tueih coeng he. Tedae nangmih tah a sang lamkah thaomnah na bai uh hlan atah kho khuiah ana ngol uh,” a ti nah.
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye are endued with power from on high.
50 Amih te Bethany duela voelh a khuen phoeiah a kut a phuel tih amih te yoethen a paek.
And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 Amih yoethen a paek nen tah amih taeng lamloh khoe uh tih vaan la a khuen.
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 Te vaengah amih loh amah te a bawk uh tih Jerusalem ah omngaihnah neh muep bal uh.
And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 Te phoeiah bawkim khuiah om taitu uh tih Pathen te a uem uh.
And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
