1 Amih te rhaengpuei la huek pai uh tih Jesuh te Pilat taengla a khuen uh.
And having risen up all the multitude of them (they led *N+kO) Him to Pilate.
2 Te vaengah Jesuh te pahoi a paelnaeh uh tih, “Anih loh mah namtu he a pamdah sak, Kaisar taengah mangmu paek ham te a a paa sak tih amah te, 'Khrih manghai ni,’ a ti khaw ka hmuh,” a ti uh.
They began then to accuse Him saying; This [man] we found misleading the nation (of us *NO) and forbidding tribute to Caesar to be given (and *no) declaring Himself Christ a king to be.
3 Te phoeiah Pilat loh a dawt tih, “Nang he Judah manghaila na om a?” a ti nah. Tedae Jesuh loh anih te a doo tih, “Nang long ni na ti,” a ti nah.
And Pilate (asked *N+kO) Him saying; You yourself are the King of the Jews? And answering him He was saying; You yourself say.
4 Te dongah Pilat loh khosoihham rhoek neh hlangping rhoek te, “Hekah hlang soah a lolh ka hmuh moenih,” a ti nah.
And Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds; No [thing] find I guilty in man this.
5 Tedae amih loh a mangkhak la, “Pilnam a hueh tih, Galilee lamloh he hil, Judah tom ah pahoi a thuituen,” a ti uh.
But they were insisting saying that He stirs up the people teaching throughout all of Judea (and *no) He has begun from Galilee until here.
6 Pilat loh a yaak vaengah, “Hekah hlang tah Galilee hoel la om maco, “a ti.
Pilate now having heard (Galilee *KO) asked whether the man a Galilean is,
7 Te daengah Herod kah saithainah dongah aka om la a ming tih Herod taengla a tueih. Te vaeng tue ah Herod khaw Jerusalem ah om.
and having learned that from the jurisdiction of Herod He is, he sent up Him to Herod being also he himself in Jerusalem in those days.
8 Herod loh Jesuh te a hmuh vaengah bahoeng omngaih. Hlamat kum lamkah a kawng a yaak coeng dongah amah hmuh ham te ngaihlih ana om coeng. Te dongah anih loh a saii miknoek khat khat te hmuh hamla a ngaiuep.
And Herod having seen Jesus [was] glad exceedingly; he was for of (long *N+kO) time wishing to see Him because of hearing (many things *K) concerning Him and he was hoping some sign to see by Him done.
9 Te dongah Jesuh te ol muep a dawt. Tedae Jesuh loh anih te a doo moenih.
He was questioning then Him in words many; He himself however no [thing] answered him.
10 Te vaengah khosoihham rhoek neh cadaek rhoek loh pai uh tih Jesuh te rhaprhap a paelnaeh uh.
Had been standing by now the chief priests and the scribes vehemently accusing Him.
11 Herod neh a rhalkap rhoek long khaw Jesuh te a hnaelcoe uh tih a tamdaeng uh. Te phoeiah himbai a cim thik a bai sak tih Pilat taengla a tueih uh.
Having set at naught then Him (also *no) Herod with the troops of him and having mocked [and] having put on (Him *ko) apparel splendid, sent back Him to Pilate.
12 Te khohnin kuelhuelh ah Herod neh Pilat loh khatneh khat paya la coeng rhoi. A noek ah amih rhoi te thunkha la om rhoi dae ta.
Became then friends both Herod and Pilate on that day with one another; they were formerly for at enmity they were between (them. *N+k+o)
13 Te dongah Pilat loh khosoihham rhoek, boei rhoek neh pilnam te a hueh tih,
Pilate then having called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people
14 “Hekah hlang he kai taengah pilnam aka palet bangla nang khuen uh. Kai loh nangmih hmaiah ka boelh het coeng dae a lolh la anih na paelnaeh uh thil te hekah hlang soah ka hmuh moenih he.
said to them; You brought to me man this as misleading the people; and behold I myself before you having examined [Him] no [thing] found in man this guilty of that accusation you are bringing against Him;
15 Herod long khaw a hmuh pawt dongah ni anih he mamih taengla han tueih. A saii te dueknah neh aka tiing a om moenih he.
But not even [did] Herod; (he sent back *N+KO) for Him to (us *N+KO) And behold no [thing] worthy of death is done by Him.
16 Te dongah anih he ueih sak lamtah ka hlah eh?,” a ti nah.
Having chastised therefore Him I will release [Him].
17 Khotue ah amih ham hlang pakhat tah a loeih sak ham mangkhak la a kuek.
(necessity *KO) (now had to release to them according to feast one. *K)
18 Tedae huek pang uh tih, “Anih he khuen laeh, Barabbas mah kaimih ham han hlah,” a ti uh.
(They cried out *N+kO) however all together saying; do remove this [man], do release now to us Barabbas;
19 Barabbas tah khopuei ah olpungnah bet a om vaengah ngawnnah a saii dongah thongim khuila a hlak uh.
who was on account of insurrection a certain having been made in the city and murder (being cast into *N+kO) (the *no) (prison. *N+kO)
20 Jesuh te hlah a ngaih dongah Pilat loh amih te koep a khue.
Again (therefore *N+kO) Pilate called to them wishing to release Jesus.
21 Tedae amih loh a o uh tih, “Anih te tai laeh, tai laeh,” a ti uh.
But they were crying out saying; (do crucify do crucify *N+kO) Him.
22 Tedae Pilat loh amih te, “He loh boethae balae a saii tih, dueknah ham koila anih soah a lolh ka hmuh moenih. Anih he ueih sak lamtah ka hlah tangloeng eh?, “voeithum a ti nah.
And a third [time] he said to them; What for evil did commit this [man]? No [thing] worthy of death found I in Him. Having chastised therefore Him I will release [Him].
23 Tedae a lalh uh coeng dongah Jesuh tai ham te ol ue la a hoe uh tih amih ol loh boeih a khumla uh.
But they were urgent with voices loud asking for Him to be crucified, And were prevailing the voices of them (and of the chief priests. *KO)
24 Pilat long khaw amih kah bihhoenah te rhoirhi ham ko a tam.
(and *N+kO) Pilate sentenced to be done the demand of them.
25 Te dongah a hoe uh vanbangla olpungnah neh ngawnnah dongah thongim khuila a det tangtae te a hlah. Tedae Jesuh te amih kongaih bangla a voeih pah.
He released then (to them *k) the [one] on account of insurrection and murder cast into prison whom they were asking for; and Jesus he delivered to the will of them.
26 Anih te a khuen uh vaengah Kurena Simon te lohma lamkah ha pawk hatah a tuuk uh tih Jesuh hnukah koh pah ham thinglam te a tloeng pauh.
And as they led away Him, having laid hold on (Simon a certain from Cyrene *N+kO) (who *k) (is coming *N+kO) from [the] country they put upon him the cross to carry behind Jesus.
27 Te vaengah anih te pilnam rheangpuei neh anih aka rhaengsae tih aka hlai huta rhoek loh muep a vai uh.
Were following now Him a great multitude of the people and of women who (also *k) were mourning and they were lamenting for Him.
28 Amih te Jesuh loh a mael thil tih, “Jerulalem nu rhoek, kai hamla rhap uh boeh. Namamih ham neh na ca rhoek ham mah rhap uh.
Having turned then to them Jesus said; Daughters of Jerusalem, not do weep for Me myself, but for yourselves do weep and for the children of you.
29 “Cayaa, camoe aka cun pawh bung, aka khut pawh rhang suk loh a yoethen,” a ti uh tue tah ha pawk coeng he.
For behold are coming days in which they will say; Blessed [are] the barren and (the *no) wombs that never did bear and breasts that never (they feed. *N+kO)
30 Te vaengah tlang taengah kaimih n'tim thil laeh, mol taengah khaw kaimih m'vuei laeh, “pahoi a ti uh ni.
Then They will begin to say to the mountains; do fall upon us; and to the hills; do cover us.
31 Thing te a thingsup pataeng te tlam te a saii uh atah a koh vaengah metlam a om eh?” a ti nah.
For if in the green tree these things they do, in the dry what may happen?
32 A tloe laihmuh panit te khaw anih taengah ngawn ham a khuen uh.
Were being led away now also other criminals two with Him to be executed.
33 Lurhuh a ti uh hmuen te a pha uh vaengah Jesuh neh laihmuh rhoi te pahoi a tai uh. Laihmu rhoi khuiah pakhat te bantang ben ah pakhat banvoei ben ah a taiuh.
And when (they came *N+kO) to the place which is being called [The] Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, the one on [the] right, another and on [the] left.
34 Te vaengah Jesuh loh, “A pa, amih he tholh hlah mai, a saii uh he khaw a ming uh moenih,” a ti. Te phoeiah a himbai te a phen uh tih hmulung a naan thiluh.
And Jesus was saying; Father, do forgive them; not for they know what they do. Dividing then the garments of Him they cast (lots. *NK+o)
35 Te vaengah pilnam loh pai tih a sawt. Boei rhoek long khaw a nueih thil tih, “Hlang tloe aka khang te amah khaw khang uh saeh. Anih he Pathen kah a coelh Khrih la a om atah,” a ti uh.
And had stood the people beholding. Were deriding [Him] then also the rulers (with them *k) saying; Others He saved, he should save Himself if this is the Christ of God (the *no) Chosen [One].
36 Anih te rhalkap rhoek long khaw a tamdaeng uh tih a paan uh.
(Mocked *N+kO) then Him also the soldiers coming near, (and *k) sour wine offering to Him
37 Anih te yuthui a paek uh tih, “Nang he Judah rhoek kah manghai la na om atah namah khang uh saw,” a ti nah.
and saying; If You yourself are the King of the Jews, do save Yourself!
38 “A sokah a ming khaw, “Judah rhoek kah manghai tah anih ni, “tila a om pah.
There was now also an inscription (written *K+o) over Him (writings in Greek and in Latin and in Hebrew; is *K) the King of the Jews This [is].
39 Te vaengah laihmu rhoi a hoei uh khuikah pakhat loh anih te a soehsal tih, “Nang he Khrih la na om mahnim? Namah khaw kaimih rhoi khaw ng'khang lah,” a ti nah.
One now of those having been hanged criminals he was denigrating Him saying: (Surely *N+KO) you yourself are the Christ? do save Yourself and us!
40 Tedae pakhat loh anih te a doo tih a ho. Te vaengah, “Nang tah Pathen ke na rhih moenih a? Laitloeknah khuiah na om boeiloeih dae.
Answering now the other (rebuking *N+kO) him (was speaking; *N+kO) Not even do fear you yourself God that under the same judgment you are?
41 Mamih rhoi ngawn tah mah khoboe te n'yook tueng tih tiktam coeng. Tedae anih tah a halang la a saii moenih,” a ti nah.
and we ourselves indeed justly, Worthy for of what we did we are receiving; [this] man however no [thing] wrong did.
42 Te phoeiah Jesuh te, “Na ram khuiah na pawk vaengah kai m'poek ne,” a ti nah.
And he was saying: Jesus, do remember me (Lord *K) when You may come (into *N+kO) (the kingdom *NK+o) of You!
43 Te dongah anih te, “Namah taengah rhep kan thui, tihnin ah paradai ah kai taengah na om pawn ni,” a ti nah.
And He said to him (Jesus: *ko) Amen to you I say: today with Me you will be in Paradise.
44 Khonoek parhuk tluk a pha vaengah diklai pum ah yinnah loh a thing tih khonoek pako hil Khomik khaw hmuep.
(And *no) it was (now *k) (already *no) about [the] hour sixth, and darkness came over all the land until [the] hour ninth
45 Te vaengah bawkim kah hniyan loh phak phin uh.
(and *ko) (The sun darkened. *N+kO) (and *ko) was torn (then *no) the veil of the temple in [the] middle.
46 Jesuh tah ol ue la pang tih, “A pa, na kut dongah ka mueihla kan paek,” a ti nah. Te a thui neh pahoi pat.
And having called out in a voice loud Jesus said; Father, into [the] hands of You (I myself commit *N+kO) the Spirit of Mine. (This now *N+kO) having said He breathed His last.
47 Aka om hno te rhalboei loh a hmuh vaengah Pathen te a thangpom tih, “Hekah hlang tah hlang dueng la om taktak,” a ti.
Having seen now the centurion that having taken place (he was glorifying *N+kO) God saying; Certainly man this righteous was.
48 A miklaw kah hlangping aka taai uh boeih loh aka om hno te a hmuh uh vaengah a lungkoe te a tum uh tih bal uh.
And all the having come together crowds to spectacle this, (having seen *N+kO) the [things] having taken place, beating (their own *k) breasts were returning [home].
49 Te vaengah khohla lamkah a huiko khaw boeih ha pai uh. Galilee lamloh a taengah aka bang huta rhoek long khaw a hmuh uh.
Had stood now all those who knew (with Him *N+kO) (from *no) afar off also women those (having followed *N+kO) Him from Galilee beholding these things.
50 Te vaengah hlang pakhat, a ming ah Joseph tah khoboei la tapkhoeh om. Anih tah hlang then neh hlang dueng la om.
And behold a man named Joseph a Council member being (also *n) a man good and righteous;
51 Anih tah Judah khopuei pakhat Arimathea lamkah tih amih kah mangtaengnah neh khoboe dongah tlangnaem tlangphai la om pawh. Anih long tah Pathen kah ram ni a lamtawn.
he not was having consented to the counsel and to the deed of them; from Arimathea a city of the Jews, who (and *k) he was waiting for (and himself *k) the kingdom of God,
52 Te long te Pilat a paan tih Jesuh kah rhok te a bih.
He having gone to Pilate asked [for] the body of Jesus.
53 Rhok te a hlak tih himbai neh a yen. Te phoeiah rhok te phuel lung khuiah a khueh. Tekah phuel ah aka yalh om hlan.
And having taken down (it *k) he wrapped it in a linen cloth and placed (it *N+kO) in a tomb cut in a rock in which no were no [one] (not yet *N+kO) laid.
54 Tedae khohnin tah rhuengphong la om tih Sabbath tom coeng.
And [the] Day it was (of Preparation, *NK+o) and Sabbath was just beginning.
55 Te vaengah huta rhoek loh a hloem uh. Amih tah Galilee lamkah loh Jesuh aka puei la om uh tih phuel neh a rhok metla a khueh te a hmuh uh.
Having followed then (and *k) (the *no) women who were having come from Galilee with Him saw the tomb and how was laid the body of Him.
56 A bal uh vaengah bo-ul neh botui te a hmoel uh. Tedae Sabbath vaengah tah olpaek vanbangla duem uh.
Having returned then they prepared spices and anointing oils And on the indeed Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
