< Joba 42 >

1 Te phoeiah Job loh BOEIPA te a doo tih,
Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
2 “A cungkuem he na noeng tih namah kah thuepnah oel thai pawh tila ka ming rhoe, ka ming.
I know that thou canst do every [thing], and [that] no thought can be withholden from thee.
3 Mingnah om mueh ah cilsuep aka dael he unim? Ka thui tangloeng ngawn dae ka yakming moenih. Kai lamlong tah khobaerhambae coeng tih ka ming voel moenih.
Who [is] he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
4 Hnatun dae lamtah ka thui dae eh. Nang kan dawt vaengah mah kai m'ming sak.
Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
5 Hna dongah olthang la nang kan yaak dae ka mik loh nang m'hmuh coeng.
I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
6 Te dongah ka kohnue coeng tih laipi neh hmaiphu khuiah damti coeng.
Wherefore I abhor [myself], and repent in dust and ashes.
7 BOEIPA loh Job taengah hekah ol he a thui hnukah tah BOEIPA loh Temani Eliphaz te, “Ka thintoek he nang taeng neh na hui rhoi taengah sai coeng. Ka sal Job bangla kai kawng he a sikim la na thui uh moenih.
And it was [so], that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me [the thing that is] right, as my servant Job [hath].
8 Te dongah namamih ham vaito pumrhih neh tuital pumrhih te lo uh lamtah ka sal Job taengla cet uh laeh. Te vaengah namamih hamla hmueihhlutnah nawn uh lamtah ka sal Job te nangmih ham thangthui saeh. Anih maelhmai tah ka doe vetih nangmih taengah boethaehalang ka saii mahpawh. Ka sal Job bangla kai kawng he a sikim la na thui uh moenih,” a ti nah.
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you [after your] folly, in that ye have not spoken of me [the thing which is] right, like my servant Job.
9 Te phoeiah Temani Eliphaz, Shuhi Bildad, Naamathi Zophar tah cet uh tih BOEIPA loh amih taengah a thui te a saii uh. Te daengah ni BOEIPA loh Job kah maelhmai te a doe pah.
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite [and] Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
10 A hui rhoek ham a thangthui phoeiah tah Job kah a koe, a koe te BOEIPA loh a mael pah. Te boeih te BOEIPA loh Job taengah rhaepnit la a koei pah.
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Te vaengah a manuca boeih neh a tanu, a tanu boeih khaw, lamhma ah anih aka ming boeih khaw anih taengla cet uh. A im khuiah amah neh buh a caak uh. Anih te a suem uh tih a soah BOEIPA loh a thoeng sak yoethae cungkuem ham khaw anih te a hloep uh. Te vaengah anih te tangka phikat rhip neh sui hnaii pakhat rhip a paek uh.
Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
12 BOEIPA loh Job te a tongnah kah lakah a hmailong te yoethen a paek. Te dongah a taengah boiva thawng hlai li, kalauk thawng rhuk, vaito a rhoi thawngkhat, laak thawng khat a khueh.
So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
13 A taengah capa parhih neh canu pathum a khueh bal.
He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14 A cuek ming te Jemimah, a pabae ming te Keziah, a pathum ming te Kerenhappukh a sui.
And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
15 Job canu rhoek bangla diklai pum ah huta sakthen a phoe moenih. Amih te khaw a napa loh a nganpa rhoek lakli ah rho a paek.
And in all the land were no women found [so] fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
16 Te phoeiah Job te kum ya sawmli hing. A ca rhoek te khaw, a ca kah a ca khaw a khong li duela a hmuh tih a hmuh.
After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, [even] four generations.
17 Te dongah Job tah patong tih a khohnin a cup la duek.
So Job died, [being] old and full of days.
