Hosea 3

1 BOEIPA loh kai taengah, “Amih loh pathen tloe taengla mael tih misur yukhap lungnah sitoe cakhaw, BOEIPA loh Israel ca a lungnah bangla a hui a lungnah tih aka samphaih nu te koep paan lamtah lungnah,” a ti.

Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of [her] friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.

2 Te dongah anih te kamah hamla tangka hlai nga, cangtun am at phoeiah khosai neh ka lai.

So I bought her to me for fifteen [pieces] of silver, and [for] an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:

3 Te vaengah anih te, “Kamah taengah a tue a yet khosa lamtah cukhalh voel boeh. Hlang neh om boel lamtah kai khaw nang taengah ka om ni.

And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for [another] man: so [will] I also [be] for thee.

4 Israel ca rhoek te kum a sen kho a sak uh suidae manghai khaw tal vetih mangpa khaw tal ni. Hmueih khaw tal vetih kaam khaw tal ni. Te phoeiah hnisui neh sithui khaw tal ni.

For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and [without] teraphim:

5 A hnuk ah Israel ca rhoek te mael uh vetih a Pathen BOEIPA neh a manghai David te a tlap uh ni. Te vaengah BOEIPA taengah birhih uh vetih khohnin hnukkhueng ah a thennah la om ni.

Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
