Ezekiel 16
1 BOEIPA ol te kai taengah koep ha pawk tih,
Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 “Hlang capa amah kah tueilaehkoi te Jerusalem ming sak.
Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
3 Te vaengah ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a thui. Jerusalem te, 'Namah tuikong neh na pacaboeina tah Kanaan kho kah tih, na pa te Amori, na nu khaw Khitti nu ni.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity [is] of the land of Canaan; thy father [was] an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.
4 Na pacaboeina loh na om khohnin ah na yenrhui at pawt tih tui neh pakpak n'silh moenih, n'yut khaw n'yuut pawt tih n'yol khaw n'yol moenih.
And [as for] thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple [thee; ] thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
5 He khuiah pakhat khaw nang taengah saii ham vaengah a mik loh nang te n'rhen moenih. Nang soah thinphatnah ham lakah na om nah khohnin ah na hinglu tueilaehkap ham ni lohma li ah m'voeih.
None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.
6 Na kaepah ka pah vaengah nang te namah thii neh na nok uh te ka hmuh. Te vaengah nang taengah, “Na thii dongah hing ne,” ka ti nah tih, “Nang te namah thii neh hing,” ka ti nah.
And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee [when thou wast] in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee [when thou wast] in thy blood, Live.
7 Lohma thingdawn a pul bangla nang kang khueh. Te dongah na ping tih na pantai vaengah cangen lakah cangen la na poeh. Na rhangsuk khaw hmabuet tih na sam khaw sai. Tedae nang te pumtling neh yangyal la na om.
I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: [thy] breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou [wast] naked and bare.
8 Na taengah ka pah vaengah namah neh na tue hlo ngaih tue la kak kam hmuh. Te dongah ka hnihmoi te nang kang khuk thil tih na yah kan dah. Nang taengah ka toemngam tih nang te paipi khuila kan thoeng puei dongah ni kamah taengah na om. He tah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni.
Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time [was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
9 Namah tui neh kan hluk tih na pum dongkah na thii te kan silh. Te phoeiah nang te situi neh kan yuh.
Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
10 Nang te rhaekva kam bai sak tih saham pho ni nang kang khom sak. Hnitang neh nang kan yen tih puhimbai neh nang kan khuk.
I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
11 Nang te cangen kang oi sak tih na kut dongkah khungpak neh na rhawn kah oi khaw kam paek.
I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
12 Na hnarhong dongkah hnaii neh na hna dongkah hnathawn khaw na lu dongkah boeimang rhuisam khaw kam paek.
And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
13 Sui neh ngun na oi tih na hnicu khaw hnitang khuikah hnitang tah, puhimbai neh rhaekva ni. Vaidam neh khoitui neh situi te na caak na caak tih bahoeng, bahoeng na sawtthen dongah mangpa taengah na thaihtak.
Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment [was of] fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it [was] perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
15 Tedae na sakthen dongah na pangtung tih na ming dongah na cukhalh. Aka cet boeih soah na cukhalhnah na hawk tih anih ham khoeng a om pah.
But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
16 Na himbai te na loh tih hmuensang te namah ham savawk la na saii. Amih sokah na cukhalh te phoe noek pawt tih om noek bal mahpawh.
And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: [the like things] shall not come, neither shall it be [so].
17 Namah taengah kam paek ka sui neh ka ngun te namah kah boeimang hnopai bangla na loh. Te phoeiah tongpa muei te namah ham na saii tih amih taengah na cukhalh.
Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,
18 Himbai khaw namah kah rhaekva te na loh tih amih na khuk. Ka situi neh ka bo-ul te amih mikhmuh ah a tawn khaw na tawn mai.
And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.
19 Ka buh khaw namah ham kam paek tih vaidam neh situi neh khoitui te nang kan cah. Tedae amih mikhmuh ah na tawn pah tih hmuehmuei botui bangla om sumsoek. He tah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni.
My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, [wherewith] I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and [thus] it was, saith the Lord GOD.
20 Kai ham nan sak na canu na capa te na khuen tih caak la amih taengah na ngawn. Na cukhalhnah lamloh na cukhalhnah te yol a?
Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. [Is this] of thy whoredoms a small matter,
21 Ka ca rhoek te na ngawn tih amih taengah duek paan la amih te na paek.
That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through [the fire] for them?
22 Namah kah tueilaehkoi cungkuem neh na cukhalhnah dongah na camoe tue vaengah pumtling neh yangyal la na om tih na thii dongah aka nok uh na om te na poek khaw na poek pawh.
And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, [and] wast polluted in thy blood.
23 Na boethae cungkuem hnukah ana om ngawn, anunae anunae nang aih te. He tah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni.
And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD; )
24 Namah ham sawn na daep tih toltung takuem ah thaehhing na dawn.
[That] thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.
25 Longpuei longlu takuem ah na thaehhing na dawn, na sakthen na tuei tih aka cet boeih taengah na kho na kaa. Te vaengah na cukhlahnah lamloh na cukhalhnah te na kum.
Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.
26 Na imben Egypt ca rhoek taengah na cukhalh neh pumsa ah na boeilen. Kai veet ham ni na cukhalhnah te na ping sak.
Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.
27 Te dongah nang taengla ka kut ka thueng coeng he. Na khoboe khonuen rhamtat dongah ni na khotlueh te kam bim tih na hmaithae neh na lunguet hinglu, Philisti nu taengla nang kam voeih.
Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary [food], and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
28 Na cungnah a om pawt dongah Assyria ca rhoek taengah na cukhalh bal. Tedae amih taengah na cukhalh pataeng na hah bal moenih.
Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.
29 Kanaan khohmuen kah Khalden taeng duela na cukhalhnah te na ping sak dae te nen pataeng na hah moenih.
Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.
30 Na ko tah tahah tangkik coeng. He tah Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni. Rhaidaeng la pumyoi nu kah khoboe he boeih na saii.
How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these [things], the work of an imperious whorish woman;
31 Longpuei tom kah longlu ah na sawn na daep. Na thaehhing te toltung takuem ah na dawn na dawn tih a paang aka soehsal ham pumyoi bangla na om rhoe na om moenih a?
In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;
32 Yuu loh samphaih tih a va yueng kholong te a doe.
[But as] a wife that committeth adultery, [which] taketh strangers instead of her husband!
33 Pumyoi takuem taengah kutdoe a paek uh vaengah nang tah na kutdoe te nang aka ngaih sarhui taengah na paek. Na cukhalhnah dongah na kaepvai lamkah te namah taengla pawk ham kapbaih na paek.
They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.
34 Te dongah nang kah cukhalhnah dongah namah taengah huta lamloh khuplat la om coeng. Nang hnukah aka cukhalh om pawh. Nang loh a paang na paek tih namah te a paang m'paek pawt dongah khuplat la na om coeng.
And the contrary is in thee from [other] women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.
35 Te dongah pumyoi aw BOEIPA ol he hnatun lah.
Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:
36 Ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a thui. Na rhohum khaw na lun tih na ngaih taengah na cukhalhnah neh na yah na phen. Nang kah tueilaehkoi mueirhol cungkuem neh na ca thii te amih taengah na paek.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;
37 Te dongah na hlang ngaih boeih te ka coi coeng ne. Amih taengah na lungtui tih na lungnah boeih te khaw, na lunguet boeih te khaw a kaepvai lamloh amih te nang taengah kang kuk. Amih taengah na yah kam poelyoe vetih na yah te boeih a hmuh uh ni.
Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all [them] that thou hast loved, with all [them] that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
38 Samphaih kah laitloeknah neh thii aka long sak nang te lai kan tloek ni. Te vaengah kosi neh thatlainah thii te nang soah kang khuen ni.
And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.
39 Nang te amih kut ah kan paek vaengah tah na sawn han koengloeng vetih na thaehhing ham voeih ni. Nang te na himbai ham pit tih na boeimang hnopai han loh vaengah nang te pumtling neh yangyal la ng'khueh uh ni.
And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.
40 Nang te hlangping neh m'paan thil vetih nang te lungto neh n'dae phoeiah a cunghang neh nang te m'poel uh ni.
They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.
41 Na im te hmai neh a hoeh uh vetih nang sokah tholhphu te huta a yet kah mikhmuh ah n'saii uh ni. Te vaengah ni pumyoi lamloh nang kam paa sak vetih a paang khaw koep na paek pawt eh.
And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.
42 Nang soah ka kosi ka hong daengah ni nang taengkah ka thatlainah a nong eh. Te vaengah ka mong vetih hue ka sa voel mahpawh.
So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
43 Na camoe tue te na poek la na poek pawt tih he boeih neh kai taengah na tlai. Te dongah kai khaw na khosing te na lu soah kam paek ni. He tah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni. Te dongah nang kah tueilaehkoi boeih te khonuen rhamtat la saii rhoe saii boeh.
Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these [things; ] behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon [thine] head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
44 Nang kawng neh aka thuidoek boeih long ke a canu aka voek manu bangla a thuidoek ni.
Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use [this] proverb against thee, saying, As [is] the mother, [so is] her daughter.
45 Nang tah a va neh a ca rhoek aka tuei na manu canu ni. Nang tah a hlang neh a ca aka tuei na ngannu kah tanu ni. Na nu tah Khitti tih na pa te Amori ni.
Thou [art] thy mother’s daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou [art] the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother [was] an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
46 Na tanu suiham Samaria khaw a canu neh nang kah banvoei ah om lah ko. Na tanu namah lakah a noe tah na bantang kah Sodom ah a canu neh om lah ko.
And thine elder sister [is] Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, [is] Sodom and her daughters.
47 Amih kah longpuei ah na pongpa bueng pawt tih amih taengkah tueilaehkoi te mikpalap ah valh na saii khaw na saii. Tedae na longpuei boeih dongah khaw amih lakah na poeih uh coeng.
Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as [if that were] a very little [thing], thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.
48 Kai tah hingnah tite, ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni. Namah neh na canu kah na saii bang te na tanu Sodom neh a canu loh a saii noek moenih.
[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
49 Na tanu Sodom kathaesainah la he ni aka om he. Buh coihdanah dongkah hoemdamnah he amah neh a canu taengah a mong la ommongnah a om pah. Tedae mangdaeng neh khodaeng kut tah a moem moenih.
Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
50 Sang uh cakhaw ka mikhmuh ah tueilaehkoi ni a saii uh. Te dongah na hmuh bangla amih te ka saii.
And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw [good].
51 Samaria he nang kah tholhnah a loengboeng pataeng a tholh moenih. Te dongah nang kah tueilaehkoi he amih lakah yet. Tedae namah kah tueilaehkoi cungkuem na saii na saii tih na tanu kah na tanu taengah khaw na tang van.
Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.
52 Namah khaw na mingthae te phuei nawn. Na tanu ham na thangthui cakhaw na tholhnah neh amih lakah n'tuei coeng tih nang lakah tang uh. Te dongah namah khaw na tanu na tang sak dongah yak lamtah na mingthae phuei nawn.
Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.
53 Tedae amih khuikah thongtla, Sodom thongtla neh a tanu thongtla, Samaria kah thongtla thongtla neh a tanu thongtla, amih lakli kah nangmih thongtla, thongtla te khaw koep ka mael puei.
When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then [will I bring again] the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:
54 Te dongah amih na hloep vaengkah na saii boeih te na mingthae phuei lamtah na hmaithae saeh.
That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.
55 Na tanu Sodom khaw a canu neh amah hmuen la mael uh vetih Samaria neh a tanu rhoek khaw a muel la mael uh ni. Te vaengah nang neh na tanu rhoek khaw namah hmuen la na mael ni.
When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.
56 Na hoemdamnah khohnin vaengkah na ka lamkah olthang bangla na tanu Sodom khaw om mahpawt nim?
For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,
57 Na boethae a hliphen tom vaengah Aram nu neh a kaepvai boeih kah Philisti nu rhoek kokhahnah tue vaengkah bangla a kaepvai ah nang n'hnaep uh.
Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of [thy] reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all [that are] round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.
58 Nang kah khonuen rhamtat neh namah kah tueilaehkoi te namah loh phuei. He tah BOEIPA kah olphong ni.
Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.
59 Ka Boeipa Yahovah loh he ni a thui. Paipi phae ham olcaeng na sawtsit dongah na saii bangla nang te kan saii rhoe kan saii ni.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.
60 Tedae na camoe tue vaengkah nang taengkah ka paipi te ka poek vetih nang ham kumhal kah paipi ka thoh ni.
Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.
61 Te vaengah na longpuei te na poek vetih na hmaithae bitni. Na tanu namah lakah aka ham te na doe vaengah nang lakah tanoe ni tanu la nang taengah kam paek sitoe cakhaw na paipi dongkah mahpawh.
Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.
62 Ka paipi te nang taengah ka thoh vaengah BOEIPA kamah te nan ming bitni.
And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD:
63 Te daengah ni na poek vaengah na yak vetih na ka a ah la koep aom pawt eh. Na mingthae hman ah khaw na saii boeih dongah nang ham kan dawth coeng. He tah ka Boeipa Yahovah kah olphong ni, 'ti nah,” a ti.
That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.
