< Olrhaepnah 32 >

1 Vaan nang loh hnatun lamtah ka thui lah eh. Ka ka dongkah ol he diklai nang loh ya lah.
Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
2 Ka rhingtuknah he khotlan bangla tlan saeh. Toian dongkah dotui neh baelhing dongkah mueitui bangla, ka olthui he buemtui bangla cip saeh.
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
3 BOEIPA ming te ka khue vetih, mamih Pathen kah boeilennah ka paan ni.
Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
4 Uepomnah Pathen kah longpuei tah boeih tiktam tih, a bisai khaw hmabut a lungpang coeng. Te dongah amah tah dueng tih a thuem dongah, dumlai om pawh.
[He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he.
5 Anih te poci coeng. BOEIPA kah a ca rhoek moenih. Amih te voeldak neh vawva cadil la om tih a lolhmaih la om.
They have corrupted themselves, their spot [is] not [the spot] of his children: [they are] a perverse and crooked generation.
6 Pilnam ang neh cueih aka khueh mueh, he tlam a BOEIPA na thuung eh? Anih te nang napa moenih a? Anih long la nang n'lai tih nang n'saii phoeiah khaw n'thoh dae.
Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? [is] not he thy father [that] hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
7 Khosuen tue te poek lamtah, thawnpuei neh cadilcahma kah a kum te khaw yakming lah. Na pa te dawt lamtah ha puen bitni. Namah a ham rhoek long khaw nang taengah han thui uh bitni.
Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.
8 Khohni loh namtom a phaeng vaengah, Adam koca a hoep sak tih, Israel ca kah hlangmi bangla pilnam kah rhilung a ling.
When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
9 A pilnam he BOEIPA kah khoyo la om tih, Jakob khaw amah kah a rho khoyo la om.
For the LORD’s portion [is] his people; Jacob [is] the lot of his inheritance.
10 Anih te khosoek neh rhungnah neh khopong hinghong kho ah a hmuh. A mik dongkah thenhnaih bangla a kueinah dongah, a yakming tih khoep a ku.
He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
11 A bu dongkah a vaca te atha bangla haenghang. A phae a khong tih a phuel phoeiah, a ca te a loh tih a phaemul soah a ludoeng.
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
12 Anih te BOEIPA bueng loh a mawt tih anih taengah kholong pathen loh a om puei moenih.
[So] the LORD alone did lead him, and [there was] no strange god with him.
13 Anih te diklai hmuensang hmuensang ah a ngol sak. Khohmuen paiso khaw a cah tih, thaelpang khoitui, hmailung lungpang dongkah situi neh a khut.
He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
14 Vaito suknaeng neh boiva kah suktui nen khaw, tuca tha nen khaw, Bashan ca rhoek tutal nen khaw, kikong kah a kuel a pang, cang neh yucang misur thii khaw na ok.
Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.
15 Tedae Jeshurun te tha putsut tih, na tha te na saibawn atah na talaeh. Anih aka saii Pathen te a phap tih khangnah lungpang vik te a hnoo sut.
But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered [with fatness; ] then he forsook God [which] made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
16 Amah te kholong rhoek nen khaw, tueilaehkoi nen khaw a thatlai uh thil tih, amah te a veet uh.
They provoked him to jealousy with strange [gods], with abominations provoked they him to anger.
17 Rhaithae rhoek te Pathen pawt mai ah a nawn uh. A thai la aka phoe paek pathen rhoek te na pa rhoek loh a ming noek moenih. A rhih khaw a rhih uh moenih.
They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new [gods that] came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
18 Nang aka sa lungpang te na hmaai tih nang aka poe sak Pathen te na hnilh.
Of the Rock [that] begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
19 BOEIPA loh a hmuh ngawn dae, a capa neh a canu kah a konoinah dongah yah a bai.
And when the LORD saw [it], he abhorred [them], because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
20 A cadilcahma loh calaak uh tih, a ca rhoek khaw a khuiah oltak a om pawt dongah, ka maelhmai he ka thuh saeh lamtah, amih hmailong khaw ka so dae eh.
And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end [shall be: ] for they [are] a very froward generation, children in whom [is] no faith.
21 Pathen pawt nen khaw amih loh kai n'thatlai thil uh tih a honghi neh kai m'veet uh. Te dongah pilnam pawt nen khaw amih te ka thatlai thil vetih, aka ang namtom neh ka veet ni.
They have moved me to jealousy with [that which is] not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with [those which are] not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22 Ka thintoek te hmai la ka hlae vetih Saelkhui laedil la ung kangna saeh. Diklai neh a cangpai khaw ung saeh lamtah tlang yung khaw hlawp kangna saeh. (Sheol h7585)
For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
23 Amih te kamah kah boethae thaltang neh ka khoengvoep sak vetih, amih te ka khah ni.
I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
24 Khokha loh a thah vetih rhaekhmai loh a dom ni. Lucik khahing neh rhamsa no te amih taengah ka tueih pah vetih, kosi neh laipi dongah kawl uh ni.
[They shall be] burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
25 Kawtpoeng ah cunghang loh n'cakol sak vetih, imkhui ah mueirhih loh tongpang neh oila khaw, cahni neh tongpa sampok khaw a ngawn ni.
The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling [also] with the man of gray hairs.
26 Amih te ka phaek saeh lamtah, hlanghing lamkah amih poekkoepnah he ka toeng mai eh ka ti coeng.
I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
27 Thunkha kah konoinah dongah ka bakuep sak pawt akhaw a rhal hmat uh lah ve. “Mamih kut a pomsang vetih, BOEIPA loh he he boeih saii mahpawh,” ti uh lah ve.
Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, [and] lest they should say, Our hand [is] high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
28 Namtom tah a cilsuep moelh tih, a lungcuei neh om pawh.
For they [are] a nation void of counsel, neither [is there any] understanding in them.
29 Cueih uh koinih lungming la om uh vetih, a hmailong khaw a yakming uh suidae.
O that they were wise, [that] they understood this, [that] they would consider their latter end!
30 Pakhat loh thawngkhat metlam a hloem vetih, panit loh thawngrha a rhaelrham sak eh. Amih kah lungpang te yoih pah pawt cakhaw, amih te BOEIPA loh khoep a khaih van coeng.
How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?
31 Amih kah lungpang te, mamih kah lungpang bangla a om pawt dongah, n'thunkha rhoek khaw rhokhan a khueh pah.
For their rock [is] not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves [being] judges.
32 Amih kah misur tah, Sodom misur neh Gomorrah lohmali lamloh ha thoeng dongah, a misurthaih khaw anrhat misur khahing thaihsu la poeh.
For their vine [is] of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes [are] grapes of gall, their clusters [are] bitter:
33 A misurtui tah tuihnam sue neh minta sue bangla muen.
Their wine [is] the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
34 Hekah he kamah taengah ka tung pawt tih, ka thakvoh dongah miknoek ka daeng moenih a?
[Is] not this laid up in store with me, [and] sealed up among my treasures?
35 Amih kho loh a paloe tue vaengah, he phulohnah neh laisahnah khaw kamah hut ni. Amih kah rhainah khohnin loh yoei coeng tih, amih taengah a coekcoe la tawn uh coeng.
To me [belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in [due] time: for the day of their calamity [is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
36 BOEIPA loh a pilnam kah lai a tloek pah vetih, a sal pum dongkah a kut a khawk dongah a khaih banlak tih, a tlo-oeng te a hmuh vaengah hal bitni.
For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that [their] power is gone, and [there is] none shut up, or left.
37 Te dongah, “Amih kah pathen tah melae, mekah lungpang khuiah lae a ying uh,” a ti bitni.
And he shall say, Where [are] their gods, [their] rock in whom they trusted,
38 Amih kah hmueih tha aka ca tih, a boeimang misurtui aka o rhoek te thoo uh saeh lamtah, nangmih aka bom neh nangmih ham hlipyingnah la om saeh.
Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, [and] drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, [and] be your protection.
39 Kai kamah tah amah moek la ka om tih, kai phoeiah pathen tloe a om pawt he hmu uh lah. Kai loh ka duek sak tih ka hing sak. Ka phop tih kamah loh ka hoeih sak. Te dongah kai kut dong lamloh aka lat thai u pakhat khaw a om moenih.
See now that I, [even] I, [am] he, and [there is] no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither [is there any] that can deliver out of my hand.
40 Ka kut he vaan la ka phuel tih, kamah ka mulhing he kumhal ah ka thui.
For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.
41 Ka cunghang te khopha bangla ka tah coeng. Ka kut dongkah laitloeknah loh pha koinih, phulohnah khaw ka rhal soah ka thuung sui tih, ka lunguet taengah ka sah sue.
If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
42 Ka thaltang khaw thii ka rhuihmil sak vaengah, ka cunghang loh hmalaem thii neh, thunkha tawnlo lu lamkah tamna saa te hlap pah saeh.
I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; [and that] with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
43 A pilnam te namtom rhoek loh tamhoe puei saeh. A sal rhoek kah thii phu te loh vaengah, phulohnah neh a rhal rhoek te a thuunh vetih, a pilnam khohmuen te a dawth pah ni.
Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, [and] to his people.
44 Te phoeiah Moses te halo tih, hekah laa lung he a pilnam neh Nun capa Hosea kah hna kaepah boeih a thui pah.
And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
45 Moses loh Israel pum taengah hekah olka cungkuem a thui te a khah.
And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
46 Te phoeiah amih te, “Tihnin kah nangmih taengah kan rhalrhing sak bangla olka boeih he na thinko ah khueh uh. He olkhueng ol boeih he ngaithuen ham neh vai hamla na ca rhoek taengah khaw uen uh.
And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
47 He nangmih ham a hong ol pawt tih he ni na hingnah. He ol nen ni khohmuen ah hinglung a vang eh. Te te pang ham pahoi ni Jordan te na kat uh,” a ti nah.
For it [is] not a vain thing for you; because it [is] your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong [your] days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
48 Tekah khohnin tuung dongah Moses te BOEIPA loh a voek tih,
And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
49 Jerikho imdan Moab kho kah Abarim tlang, Nebo tlang la luei lamtah kai loh Israel ca rhoek taengah khohut la ka paek Kanaan kho te so lah.
Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, [unto] mount Nebo, which [is] in the land of Moab, that [is] over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
50 Na maya Aaron loh Hor tlang ah duek tih a pilnam taengah a khoem uh bangla nang khaw tlang la na luei tih na duek vaengah na pilnam taengla khoem uh van laeh.
And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
51 Zin khosoek, Meribah Kadesh tui taengkah Israel ca rhoek lakli ah kai taengla boe na koek. Israel ca rhoek lakli ah kai nan ciim pawh.
Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
52 Te dongah khohmuen te a hla lamloh na hmuh vetih Israel ca rhoek taengah ka paek khohmuen la na kun mahpawh,” a ti nah.
Yet thou shalt see the land before [thee; ] but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
