< Daniel 7 >

1 Babylon manghai Belshazzar kah a kum khat dongah Daniel loh amah kah thingkong dongah mang neh a lu dongkah mangthui te a hmuh. Te dongah a mang kah olka a thui te a cuinah ah a daek.
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
2 Daniel loh a thui vaengah, “Khoyin kah ka mangthui neh ka om vaengah ka hmuh. Te vaengah vaan kah khohli pali tah tuitun puei duela kilkul.
Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
3 Te phoeiah rhamsa len pali te tuitunli lamloh ha thoeng tih khat neh khat hlihloeh uh.
And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
4 A cuek te sathueng bangla om dae a phae tah atha kah bangla ka hmuh. A phae te a poelh uh tih diklai lamloh a huel uh duela ka om. Te phoeiah hlang bangla a khobom dongah pai tih anih te hlang kah thinko a paek.
The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
5 A pabae kah rhamsa pakhat bal tah vom neh lo u tih khat ben ah pai ne. A ka khui kah a no neh a no laklo ah vaerhuh cungthum a koeng tih anih te, “Thoo lamtah a saa he muep ca,” a ti nah.
And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
6 Te phoeikah te ka sawt vaengah pakhat tah kaihlaeng bangla tarha om. Te te a nam, a nam ah vaa pali kah a phae om. Rhamsa te lu pali lo tih anih te saithainah a paek.
After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
7 Te phoeiah khaw khoyin kah mangthui neh ka hmuh tih ka om. A pali nah rhamsa tah rhimom neh rhihom tih bahoeng tlung. Amah kah thi no a len khaw a ai tih a tip phoeiah a coih te a khobom neh a til. Te tah a taengkah rhamsa boeih lakah tloethoeh tih a ki parha lo.
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
8 A ki te ka poek tih ka om vaengah a ki ca pakhat te a laklung ah tarha cawn. A hmai, a hmai ah a ki cuek te pathum a phuk pauh. Tekah a ki dongah hlang mik bangla mik om tih a ka khaw a len la cal he.
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
9 Ngolkhoel a hol rhoek te ka sawt tih ka om li vaengah tampo khohnin te ngol. A pueinak tah vuel bangla bok tih a lu sam khaw tumul bangla bok. A ngolkhoel tah hmairhong hmai la om tih a kho te hmai la rhong.
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
10 Hmai sok te anih taeng lamloh phuet tih long. A thawng a thawng loh thotat uh tih amah taengah a sang a sang la pai uh. Laitloeknah te a hol tih cabu a rha uh.
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
11 Ka sawt tih ka om vaengah a ki loh a thui boeilen olka ol dongah rhamsa a ngawn hil ka om tih ka sawt. Te vaengah a pum te a thup pah tih hmaitak hmaisai khuila a pup.
I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
12 Rhamsa tloe rhoek te a saithainah a khoe pah dae amih hingnah ham te khoning neh a tue a congnah la a paek.
As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
13 Khoyin mangthui neh ka om tih ka hmuh. Te vaengah hlang capa phek te vaan kah khomai neh tarha ha pai tih tampo khohnin te a paan. Te phoeiah anih te amah taengla a nawn.
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 A taengah saithainah neh thangpomnah neh ram khaw a paek coeng. Te dongah namtu pilnam boeih neh olcom olcae loh amah te a bawk uh. A saithainah khaw kumhal kah saithainah la om tih nong mahpawh. Te dongah a ram he tim tlaih mahpawh.
And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
15 Kai Daniel he ka pum khui ah ka mueihla mawn tih ka lu kah mangthui loh kamah n'cahawh.
I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
16 Aka pai khuikah pakhat te ka paan tih a cungkuem te anih taengah rhep ka dawt. Te dongah kai hamla a thui tih ol kah thuingaihnah te kai m'ming sak.
I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
17 Amih rhamsa len pali he tah diklai lamloh manghai pali pai ni.
These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.
18 Tedae ram te sangkoek kah aka cim rhoek loh a dang uh vetih ram te dungyan duela a pang uh ni. Dungyan kah dungyan duela a pang ni.
But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
19 Te vaengah rhamsa pali te oltak la ka ngaih. Amih boeih te a cungkuem dongah a hlihloeh la om tih a no mah bahoeng a rhimom. A no te thi tih a kuttin te rhohum, a hnom tih a ai phoeikah a coih te a khobom neh a til.
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
20 A lu dongkah a ki parha neh pakhat aka cawn te khaw, a taengah pathum rhoek a rhul la a rhul te khaw, ki loh a mik a khueh bal tih a ka loh a len la a cal khaw, a hui lakah a mangthui a len kawng khaw ka ngaih.
And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
21 Ka om tih ka sawt vaengah tekah ki loh hlang cim rhoek taengah caemtloeknah a saii tih amih te a noeng uh.
I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22 Tampo khohnin a pai hil laitloeknah he sangkoek kah a cim rhoek ham a paek coeng. Te dongah a tue a pha vaengah ram he aka cim rhoek loh a pang uh.
Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
23 Rhamsa a pali te, “Diklai ah ram a pali, pali la om ni. Te tah ram boeih lakah tloethoeh vetih diklai pum he a hnom ni. A taelh vetih a tip sak ni,” a ti.
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24 Ki parha tah ram khui lamloh manghai parha pai vetih amih lamloh a tloe phoe bal ni. Anih tah a cuek kah lakah tloethoeh vetih manghai pathum rhoek te a kunyun sak ni.
And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 Sangkoek kah sangkoek soehsalnah te ol la a thui vetih sangkoek kah a cim rhoek te a hnaemtaek ni. Khoning neh oltlueh te thovael hamla cai vetih a kut ah a tue neh kum dongkah kum rhakthuem a paek ni.
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
26 Tedae laitloeknah a khueh vetih yoop ham neh a bawtnah hil thup hamla anih kah saithainah te a khoe pah ni.
But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
27 Te vaengah ram neh saithainah khaw, vaan pum hmuiah ram kah lennah khaw sangkoek kah a cim pilnam taengah a paek ni. A ram he dungyan ram la a om dongah khohung boeih loh anih taengah tho a thueng uh vetih boe a ngai uh ni.
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
28 He hil he ol bawtnah la om. Kai Daniel khaw, ka poeknah yet tih kamah n'cahawh. Te dongah ka aa khaw kai soah yat dae ol he ka lungbuei ah ka khoem.
Until now is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.
