< Caeltueih 20 >

1 Olpungnah a paa van neh hnukbang rhoek te Paul loh a tah tih a hloep. A toidal tih Makedonia ah caeh hamla suntla.
And after the ceasing of the tumult, Paul having called near the disciples, and having embraced [them], went forth to go on to Macedonia;
2 Te rhoek pingpang a hil vaengah khaw amih te olka neh muep a thaphoh phoeiah Greek la pawk.
and having gone through those parts, and having exhorted them with many words, he came to Greece;
3 Hla thum a om phoeiah Syria la kat ham cai dae Judah rhoek loh anih te mangtaengnah a khueh dongah Makedonia longah bal ham lungbuei om.
and having continued three months—a counsel of the Jews having been against him—being about to set forth to Syria, there came [to him] a resolution of returning through Macedonia.
4 Te vaengah anih te Berea kah Purrhu capa Sopataru, Thesaalonika kah Aristarkhu neh Sekundu, Derbi kah Kaiyu neh Thimothy, Asia kah Tukhiko neh Trophimu loh a puei uh.
And there were accompanying him to Asia, Sopater of Pyrrhus from Berea, and of Thessalonians Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus, and of Asians Tychicus and Trophimus;
5 Te rhoek loh lamhma uh tih Troas ah kaimih n'rhing uh.
these, having gone before, remained for us in Troas,
6 Kaimih tah vaidamding khohnin phoeiah Philipi lamkah ka kat uh tih, hnin nga khuiah Troas kah amih taengla ka pawk uh. Te ah te hnin rhih ka om uh.
and we sailed, after the days of the Unleavened [Bread], from Philippi, and came to them to Troas in five days, where we abided seven days.
7 Te vaengkah Sabbath a voeikhat dongah tah kaimih taengkah aka tingtun rhoek ham Paul loh vaidam a aeh pah tih amih te a thuingong puei. A vuen ah bal ham a cai dongah ihdulh duela olka te a yueng.
And on the first [day] of the weeks, the disciples having been gathered together to break bread, Paul was discoursing to them, about to depart on the next day, he was also continuing the discourse until midnight,
8 Te vaengah ka tingtun nah imhman ah hmaiim muep om.
and there were many lamps in the upper chamber where they were gathered together,
9 Te vaengah cadong pakhat, a ming ah Eutukhu tah bangbuet ah ngol. Paul kah a thui te a sen dongah a ih te muelh rhoi. Ih a rhoi vaengah imhman boengthum lamkah tla thuk tih a duek la a phoel uh.
and there a certain youth was sitting, by name Eutychus, on the window—being borne down by a deep sleep, Paul discoursing long—he having sunk down from the sleep, fell down from the third story, and was lifted up dead.
10 Paul khaw suntla tih anih te a bakop thil tih a sambai phoeiah, “Sarhingrhup la om uh boeh. A khuiah a hinglu om pueng,” a ti nah.
And Paul, having gone down, fell on him, and having embraced [him], said, “Make no tumult, for his life is in him”;
11 A yoeng hang phoeiah vaidam te a aeh pah tih yulh a ten uh. Te phoeiah mincang duela a thui tih khoe uh.
and having come up, and having broken bread, and having tasted, for a long time also having talked—until daylight, so he went forth,
12 Tedae cadong te a hing la a khuen uh vaengkah a ngaimong uh te a phoeng mai moenih.
and they brought up the boy alive, and were comforted in no ordinary measure.
13 Kaimih tah Asso la kat ham sangpho taengla ka lamhma uh. Te lamkah tah Paul te loh ham cai uh coeng. Amah khaw lan hamla a cai tangtae la a om coeng dongah a uen van coeng.
And we having gone before to the ship, sailed to Assos, there intending to take in Paul, for so he had arranged, intending himself to go on foot;
14 Te dongah Asso ah ka humcui uh vaengah anih te ka loh uh tih Mitulene la ka pawk uh.
and when he met with us at Assos, having taken him up, we came to Mitylene,
15 Te lamloh a vuen ah ka kat uh tih Khios rhalvangan ka pha uh. A vuen bal ah Samos te ka pha uh tih hnin at a om phoeiah Miletu la ka pawk uh.
and there having sailed, on the next day we came opposite Chios, and the next day we arrived at Samos, and having remained in Trogyllium, on the following day we came to Miletus,
16 Paul tah Asia ah yulh a koe ham a om pawt dongah Ephisa te poeng ham mulmet uh. Pentekos hnin ah amah om thai atah tila Jerusalem pha ham te a rhingda.
for Paul decided to sail past Ephesus, that there may not be to him a loss of time in Asia, for he was hurrying, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem on the day of the Pentecost.
17 Te vaengah hlangboel kah a ham rhoek te Miletu lamloh Ephisa la a tah tih a khue.
And from Miletus, having sent to Ephesus, he called for the elders of the assembly,
18 Te dongah a taengla ha pawk uh vaengah amih te, “Asia ah ka cawt khohnin lamhma lamloh ka om tue khuiah nangmih neh metla ka om khaw na ming uh.
and when they were come to him, he said to them, “You know from the first day in which I came to Asia, how I was with you at all times;
19 Tlayaenah, mikphi boeih neh Boeipa sal ka bi vaengah he Judah rhoek kah a mangtaengnah loh kai taengah noemcainah a thoeng sak.
serving the LORD with all humility, and many tears, and temptations, that befell me in the counsels of the Jews against [me];
20 Nangmih taengah puen ham pawt tih im takuem ah langya la nangmih thuituen ham tah aka rhoei rhoek taengah khaw ka tonga moenih.
how I kept back nothing of what things are profitable, not to declare to you, and to teach you publicly, and in every house,
21 Pathen taengah yutnah neh mamih Boeipa Jesuh ah tangnah khueh ham te Judah rhoek neh Greek rhoek taengah khaw ka laipai coeng.
testifying fully both to Jews and Greeks, conversion toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
22 Tedae Jerusalem la caeh ham ni Mueihla loh kai m'pin coeng he. Te ah te kai taengah aka thoeng ham khaw ka ming pawh.
And now, behold, I—bound in the Spirit—go on to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will befall me in it,
23 Tedae hloong neh phacipphabaem loh kai n'naeh thil te Mueihla Cim loh kai ham kho takuem ah laipai tih a thui.
except that the Holy Spirit fully testifies in every city, saying that bonds and tribulations remain for me;
24 Pathen kah lungvatnah olthangthen te laipai puei tih, Boeipa Jesuh taengkah ka dang bibi neh ka hmatoeng khah hamla ka hinglu lungthen pataeng ol hong lam ni ka khueh coeng.
but I make account of none of these, neither do I count my life precious to myself, so that I finish my course with joy, and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify [to] the good news of the grace of God.
25 Ram te hoe ham ka hil he a khuiah nangmih loh kai maelhmai boeih na hmu uh voel mahpawh tila ka ming ngawn coeng he.
And now, behold, I have known that you will no longer see my face, among all you [to] whom I went preaching the Kingdom of God;
26 Te dongah hlang boeih kah a thii lamloh a caih la ka om te tihnin khohnin ah nangmih ham ka laipai coeng.
for this reason I take you to witness this day, that I [am] clear from the blood of all,
27 Pathen kah mangtaengnah te nangmih taengah boeih ka thui mahnim? Te dongah ka tonga moenih.
for I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God.
28 Namamih neh boiva boeih te khaw ngaithuen uh. Te khuiah nangmih tah Pathen kah hlangboel, a thii neh a kutloh te dawndah ham Mueihla Cim loh hiphoelkung la n'khueh coeng.
Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit made you overseers, to feed the Assembly of God that He acquired through His own blood,
29 Ka caehnah hnukah nangmih taengla uithang aka tlung te ha kun vetih boiva khaw hlun mahpawh tila ka ming.
for I have known this, that there will enter in, after my departing, grievous wolves to you, not sparing the flock,
30 Te vaengah nangmih khui lamkah namah rhoek ha phoe ni. Hnukbang rhoek te amah hnukla mawt ham paimaelh ol a thui ni.
and there will arise men of your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
31 Te dongah hak uh laeh. Kum thum khuiah, khoyin khothaih mikphi neh toeng mueh la pakhat rhip kan rhalrhing sak te poek uh.
Therefore, watch, remembering that three years, night and day, I did not cease with tears warning each one;
32 A lungvatnah olka dongah hlinsai thai ham neh a ciim tangtae rhoek boeih khuiah rho phaeng ham khaw Pathen taengah nangmih kan tloeng coeng he.
and now, I commend you, brothers, to God, and to the word of His grace, that is able to build up, and to give you an inheritance among all those sanctified.
33 Tangka khaw, sui khaw, pueinak khaw ka nai moenih.
I coveted the silver or gold or clothing of no one;
34 Kamah neh ka taengkah aka om rhoek kah a ngoengaih dongah ka kut loh a bi te khaw na ming uh.
and you yourselves know that to my necessities, and to those who were with me, these hands ministered;
I showed you all things, that, thus laboring, it is necessary to partake with the ailing, to also be mindful of the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
36 He he a thui phoeiah a khuklu a cungkueng tih amih boeih te a thangthui puei.
And having said these things, having bowed his knees, with them all, he prayed,
37 Te vaengkah hlang boeih te a rhah neh boeih om uh. Paul kah a rhawn te a kop thil uh tih a mok uh.
and there came a great weeping to all, and having fallen on the neck of Paul, they were kissing him,
38 Olpuei la a mikhmai hmuh ham om voel mahpawh tila a thui ol loh hlang boeih a yuek. Te phoeiah anih te sangpho taengla a thak uh.
sorrowing most of all for the word that he had said—that they are about to see his face no longer; and they were accompanying him to the ship.
