Saam 12

1 Katoeng kruek zaehoikung hanah, Shemenith hoi sak koi David ih saam laa. Angraeng, na bom ah, Angraeng zii kami om ai boeh: oep ohhaih loe kaminawk salak hoiah anghmat boih boeh.

To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

2 Nihcae loe a imtaeng kaminawk hoi avang ai lok to apaeh o: amsawnlok thuihaih pahni, poek angphaehaih palungthin hoiah lok to apaeh o.

They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.

3 Pazawk hanah thuithaihaih pahni hoi palai to a tawnh o, mi mah doeh pakaa thai mak ai; aicae nuiah mi maw angraeng ah ka om vop?

Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,

4 tiah thui kaminawk ih, amsawnlok thuihaih pahninawk boih to Angraeng mah aat pae tih; amoekhaih palai doeh aat pae tih:

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who [is] lord over us?

5 Amtang kami mah tong ih pacaekthlaekhaih, tidoeh tawn ai kami qahhaih lok pongah, vaihi kang thawk han boeh; anih pacaekthlaek kami ban thung hoiah amtang kami to ka pakaa han, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.

Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set [him] in safety, at whom they puff.

6 Angraeng ih loknawk loe ciim: amlai long hmai kamngaeh thungah vai sarihto atui pakaw ih, sumkanglung tui hoiah anghmong.

The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Aw Angraeng, nihcae to na khen ueloe, nihcae to hae kaminawk khae hoiah dungzan khoek to na pakaa poe tih.

Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 Tidoeh avang ai kaminawk pakoehhaih atue phak naah, poeksae kaminawk loe ahmuen kruekah azatpawhaih hoiah caeh o tih.

The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.
