< Mathai 15 >

1 To naah Jerusalem vangpui hoiah Farasinawk hoi thoemto ca tarik kaminawk Jesu khaeah angzoh o moe,
Then the Pharisees and scribes came to Yeshua from Urishlim, saying,
2 tipongah nang hnukbang kaminawk mah kacoehtanawk ih lok to aek o loe? Nihcae loe buhcaak naah ban amsae o ai, tiah a naa o.
"Why do your disciples disobey the Tradition of the Elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
3 Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, To tiah nahaeloe tipongah nangcae mah doeh nangmacae ih khosakhaih dan hoiah Sithaw ih kaalok to na aek o toeng loe?
And he answered them, "Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4 Sithaw mah paek ih lok mah loe, Nam no hoi nam pa saiqat ah: ampa maw, to tih ai boeh loe amno maw loksae bah kami loe, dueh nasoe, tiah thuih.
For God said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'
5 Toe nangcae mah loe, Mi kawbaktih doeh ampa maw, to tih ai boeh loe amno khaeah maw, Kai khae hoi na hak han koi abomhaih boih loe, Sithaw ih tangqum ah ni oh boeh, tiah thui nahaeloe,
But you say, 'Whoever may tell his father or his mother, "Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,"
6 anih mah ampa hoi amno saiqat han angai ai boeh, tiah na thuih o, to tiah nangmacae ih atawk pongah Sithaw ih lok to tidoeh avang ai ah na suek o.
he is not to honor his father or his mother.' You have made the word of God void because of your tradition.
7 Angsah thaih kaminawk, Isaiah mah,
You hypocrites. Well did Eshaya prophesy of you, saying,
8 hae kaminawk loe pakha hoiah kai khaeah anghnaih o moe, pahni hoiah kai ang pakoeh o; toe palung loe kai khae hoiah angthla o, tiah nangcae kawng thuih coek ih lok to oh boeh.
'These people honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 Nihcae loe azom pui ah ni kai ang bok o, kaminawk mah thuih ih lok ni patuk o lat, tiah thuih ih lok loe amsoem tangak, tiah a naa.
And in vain do they worship me, teaching instructions that are the commandments of humans.'"
10 Anih mah paroeai kaminawk to kawk moe, Tahngai oh loe, thaih kop oh:
He summoned the crowd, and said to them, "Hear, and understand.
11 pakha thungah akun hmuen mah kami amhnongsak ai; pakha thung hoi tacawt hmuen mah ni, kami to amhnongsak, tiah a naa.
That which enters into the mouth does not defile the person; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the person."
12 To pacoengah a hnukbang kaminawk angzoh o moe, anih khaeah, Farasinawk mah hae lok thaih o naah palung hoih o ai, tito na panoek maw? tiah a naa o.
Then the disciples came, and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?"
13 Toe anih mah, Van ih ampa mah thling ai ih thingkung loe, aphong boih tih.
But he answered, "Every plant which my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.
14 Nihcae to om o taak duem ah: nihcae loe mikmaeng zaehoikung mikmaeng ah ni oh o. Mikmaeng mah mikmaeng to zaehoi nahaeloe, tangqom thungah krah hoi hmaek tih, tiah a naa.
Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit."
15 Piter mah anih khaeah, Hae patahhaih lok hae kaicae khaeah kamtuengah na thui ah, tiah a naa.
And answering, Kipha said to him, "Explain this parable to us."
16 Jesu mah, Nangcae doeh vaihi khoek to na panoek o thai ai vop maw?
So he said, "Do you also still not understand?
17 Pakha thungah akun hmuen loe zokthungah caeh boih moe, aek ah tacawt boih, tito na panoek o ai maw?
Do you not understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and then out of the body?
18 Toe pakha thung hoi tacawt hmuen loe palung thung hoiah ni tacawt; to hmuennawk mah loe kami to amhnongsak.
But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the person.
19 Poeksethaih, kami humhaih, zu sava laep ah zaehaih, daan ai ah zae sakhaih, paqukhaih, kahoih ai hnukung ah angdoethaih, Sithaw kasae thuihaihnawk loe palung thung hoiah ni tacawt.
For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
20 Hae hmuennawk mah ni kami to amhnongsak: toe ban amsae ai ah buhcaakhaih mah kami amhnongsak ai, tiah a naa.
These are the things which defile the person; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the person."
21 Jesu loe to ahmuen hoiah tacawt moe, Tura hoi Sidon vangpui bangah caeh.
Yeshua went out from there, and withdrew into the region of Tsur and Tsaidan.

And look, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and started shouting, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of Dawid. My daughter is severely demonized."
23 Toe anih mah lok pakha to doeh pathim pae ai. To pongah a hnukbang kaminawk loe anih khaeah caeh o moe, nongpata to kalah bangah caehsak ving ah; anih loe aicae hnukah hangh khing, tiah a naa o.
But he did not answer her a word. His disciples came and pleaded with him, saying, "Send her away, for she keeps shouting at us."
24 Anih mah, Kai loe kalah kaminawk khaeah patoeh ai, tuu kanghmaa kanghmaa Israel imthung khae khue ah ni patoeh, tiah a naa.
But he answered, "I was not sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israyel."
25 To naah nongpata to angzoh moe, a hmaa ah cangkrawn hoiah Angraeng, na bom ah, tiah a naa.
But she came and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, help me."
26 Anih mah, Nawktanawk ih takaw to lak moe, uinawk khaeah vah pae han hoih ai, tiah a naa.
But he answered, "It is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
27 To nongpata mah, Loktang ni, Angraeng: toe uinawk mah doeh angraeng ih caboi nui hoi kakrah caaknoi to caak o toeng bae, tiah a naa.
But she said, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table."
28 Jesu mah anih khaeah, Nongpata, na tanghaih loe thuk parai! Na koehhaih baktiah nang khaeah om nasoe, tiah a naa. To na atue thuem hoiah a canu to ngantui roep.
Then Yeshua answered her, "Woman, great is your faith. Be it done to you even as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that hour.

Yeshua departed there, and came near to the lake of Galila; and he went up into the mountain, and sat there.
30 Pop parai kaminawk anih khaeah angzoh o, khokkhaem, mikmaeng, lokaa, khok ban akoep ai kaminawk hoi kalah pop parai kaminawk to anih khokkung ah angzoh o haih, anih mah to kaminawk to ngantuisak boih:
Large crowds came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, crippled, and many others, and they put them down at his feet; and he healed them.
31 lokaa doeh lok apaeh moe, khok ban akoep ai kaminawk doeh ngantui o, khokkhaem kaminawk lam a caeh o thaih, mikmaeng doeh mik amtueng: pop parai kaminawk mah to baktih hmuennawk to hnuk o naah dawnrai o moe, Israel Sithaw to saphaw o.
So the crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, crippled healthy, lame walking, and blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israyel.

Yeshua summoned the disciples and said, "I have compassion on the crowd, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way."
33 A hnukbang kaminawk mah anih khaeah, Kami hae zetto zok amhah hanah praezaek ah naa ih takaw maw ka hnu o tih? tiah a naa o.
Then the disciples said to him, "Where should we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a crowd?"

Yeshua said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven, and a few small fish."

He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground;

and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds.
37 Nihcae loe caak o moe, zok amhah o boih: nihcae mah caaknoi to phromh o naah, benthang sarihto koi.
They all ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.

Then he sent away the crowds, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magdu.
