< Marka 14 >

1 Misong loihhaih poih hoi taeh thuh ai ih takaw poih to sak hanah, ni hnetto khue ni angaih boeh: kalen koek qaima hoi ca tarik kaminawk loe anih to zoek moe, naeh pacoengah, anih to kawbangmaw hum thai han, tiah loklam to pakrong o.
Now it was the Passover and the Unleavened [cakes], after two days. And the High-priests and Scribes were seeking, how, with guile, they might secure, and lay him;
2 Toe nihcae mah kaminawk palungphui o moeng tih, tiah poek pongah poih sak nathung loe naeh hmah si, tiah a thuih o.
for they were saying—Not in the feast, lest there be an uproar of the people.
3 Bethani avang ih ngansae man Simon im ah, anih buh caak han anghnut naah, atho kanaa parai spitenard hoiah sak ih hmuihoih Alabaster tabu kasin nongpata maeto angzoh; to pacoengah nongpata mah hmuihoih tabu to pakhoih moe, Jesu ih lu ah bawh pae.
And, he being in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining, there came a woman, holding an alabaster-jar of perfume, pure spikenard, very costly; and breaking the jar she was pouring down [the perfume], upon his head.
4 Nihcae thung ih thoemto kaminawk loe palungphui o moe, Tih han ih maw hmuihoih tui to hae tiah a kraih halat? tiah a thuih o.
But there were some much displeased among themselves—To what end hath, this waste of the perfume happened?
5 Phoisa cumvai thumto pong kapop ah zawh moe, amtang kaminawk paek nahaeloe hoih han to mah, tiah a thuih o. Nihcae mah to nongpata to laisaep o thuih.
For this perfume could have been sold for above three hundred denaries, and given unto the destitute! and they were indignant with her.
6 Jesu mahnongpata loe angmah hmawk ah om nasoe; tih hanah na tavet o khing loe? Anih loe ka nuiah kahoih hmuen ni a sak boeh.
But, Jesus, said—Let her alone! Why are ye reproaching, her? A seemly work, hath she wrought, in me;
7 Kamtang kaminawk loe nangcae hoi nawnto oh o poe, na koeh o naah nihcae han kahoih hmuen to na sak o thaih: toe kai loe nangcae hoi nawnto ka om poe mak ai.
For, always, have ye, the destitute, with you, and whensoever ye please, ye can, unto them, [at any time] do well! But, me, not, always, have ye.
8 Nongpata mah loe sak thaih thung a sak boeh: anih loe ka takpum aphum han ih ni hmuihoih tui hoiah bawh coek boeh.
What she had, she used, —She took it beforehand to anoint my body for the burial;
9 Loktang kang thuih o, Long pum ah kahoih tamthanglok thuih o kruek, nongpata mah sak ih hae hmuen doeh anih pahnet han ai ah thui o tih.
And, verily, say unto you—Wheresoever the glad-message shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world, —also what she did, will be told for a memorial of her.
10 To naah kami hatlai hnetto thungah maeto ah kaom, Juda Iskariot loe anih naehsak hanah, kalen koek qaima khaeah caeh.
And, Judas Iscariot, who was one of he twelve, went away unto the High-priests, that, him, he might deliver up unto them.
11 Anih ih lok nihcae mah thaih o naah, paroeai oep o moe, phoisa paek hanah lok a suek o. Anih loe Jesu naeh thai hanah atue karaem to pakrong.
Now, when they heard, they rejoiced, and promised to give him, silver; and he was seeking how, at a favourable opportunity, he might, deliver him up.
12 Taeh thuh ai ih takaw caakhaih poih hmaloe koek, loihaih tuucaa a boh o naah, a hnukbang kaminawk mah anih khaeah, Misong loihaih buh na caak hanah naa ah maw ka caeh o moe, poih saksak han na koeh? tiah a naa o.
And, on the first day of the unleavened cakes, when, the passover, they were slaying, his disciples say unto him—Where wilt thou, we depart and make ready, that thou mayest eat the passover?
13 Anih mah a hnukbang hnik to patoeh moe, nihnik khaeah, Vangpui thungah caeh hoih loe, to ah tui tabu kasin tui doh kami maeto na hnu hoi tih: anih hnukah bang hoih.
And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them—Go your way into the city, and there will meet you a man, a jar of water, bearing, —follow him;
14 Anih imthung ah akun naah, im tawnkung khaeah, Patukkung mah, a hnukbang kaminawk hoi nawnto misong loihaih poih sak hanah angvin toemhaih im naa ah maw oh? tiah ang duengsak, tiah a naa hoih.
and, wheresoever he shall enter, say ye unto the householder—The teacher, saith, Where is my lodging, where, the passover, with my disciples, I may eat?
15 To naah anih mah patoh han sakcoek ih, kalen parai im ranui asom to na patuek tih: to ah buhcaakhaih poih to sah oh, tiah a naa.
And, he, unto you, will shew, a large upper-room, spread ready, and, there, make ye ready for us.
16 A hnukbang kami hnik vangpui thungah a caeh hoi naah, anih mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah kaom hmuen to a hnuk hoi: to ahmuen ah buhcaakhaih poih to a sak o.
And the disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found, according as he had said unto them, —and they made ready the passover.
17 Anih loe duembang ah a hnukbang hatlai hnettonawk hoi nawnto angzoh.
And, when evening arrived, he cometh, with the twelve.
18 Nihcae anghnut o moe, buh caak o naah, Jesu mah, Loktang kang thuih o, kai hoi buh nawnto kacaa, nangcae thung ih kami maeto mah, kai angphat taak tih, tiah a naa.
And, as they were reclining and eating, Jesus said—Verily, I say unto you—One from among you, will deliver me up, he that is eating with me.
19 To naah nihcae loe palungset o, anih khaeah maeto mah kai maw? Kalah maeto mah kai maw? tiah a naa o.
They began to be grieved, and to be saying unto him, one by one, —Can it be, I?
20 Anih mah nihcae khaeah, Anih loe hatlai hnetto thungah kai hoi buh nawnto tapawh kami maeto ah oh.
And, he, said unto them—One of the twelve, he that is dipping with me into the [one] bowl:
21 Kami Capa loe angmah kawng tarik ih baktih toengah caeh tih: toe kami Capa angphat taak kami loe khosak bing! To kami loe tapen ai nahaeloe hoi kue tih, tiah a naa.
Because, the Son of Man, indeed, goeth his way, —according as it is written concerning him; but alas! for that man, through whom the Son of Man is being delivered up, —Well for him, if that man, had not been born!
22 Buh caak o nathuem ah, Jesu mah takaw to lak moe, tahamhoihaih paek pacoengah, a aeh, nihcae hanah a paek, la oh loe, caa oh: hae loe ka takpum ni, tiah a naa.
And, as they were eating, taking a loaf, he blessed and brake, and gave unto them, and said—Take! this, is, my body;
23 To pacoengah boengloeng to a lak moe, oephaih lawkthuih pacoengah, nihcae khaeah a paek: nihcae mah naek o boih.
And, taking a cup, he offered thanks, and gave unto them; and they, all, drank of it.
24 Nihcae khaeah, Hae loe paroeai kaminawk hanah kalong, kangtha lokkamhaih ka thii ah oh.
And he said unto them—This, is, my blood of the covenant, that is to be poured out in behalf of many.
25 Loktang kang thuih o, To na niah Sithaw mah siangpahrang ah uk ih prae thungah kangtha ka nae ai karoek to, misurtui ka nae mak ai boeh, tiah a naa.
Verily, I say unto you—No more, will I in anywise drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I shall be drinking it new, in the kingdom of God.
26 Nihcae laasak o pacoengah, Olive mae ah caeh o.
And, having sung praise, they went forth unto the Mount of Olives.
27 Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Tuutoep kami to ka boh han, tuunawk loe anghaeh o phang tih, tiah tarik ih baktih toengah, Kai pongah vaiduem palung na boeng o boih tih.
And Jesus saith unto them—Ye, all, will find cause of stumbling, because it is written, —I will smite the shepherd, and, the sheep, will be scattered abroad;
28 Toe kang thawk pacoengah, Nangcae hmaa ah Kalili ah ka caeh han, tiah a naa.
But, after my arising, I will go before you into Galilee.
29 Piter mah anih khaeah, Minawk palung boeng o boih cadoeh, kai loe palung ka boeng mak ai, tiah a naa.
And, Peter, said unto him—Even if, all, shall find cause of stumbling, certainly not, I.
30 Jesu mah, Loktang kang thuih o, Vaihniah, vaiduem roe ah, aa vai hnetto khong ai naah, kai vai thumto nang phat taak tih, tiah a naa.
And Jesus saith unto him—Verily, I say unto thee, thou, this day, in this night, before that twice a cock crow, thrice, will deny me.
31 Toe Piter mah kanung aep ah, Nang hoi nawnto duek han om cadoeh, nang to kang phat taak mak ai, tiah a naa. Nihcae boih mah doeh to tiah a naa o.
But he, most vehemently, was saying—Even though I must needs die with thee, in nowise, will I, deny thee. Likewise, indeed, were, all besides, saying.
32 To pacoengah nihcae loe Gethsemane, tiah ahmin kaom ahmuen ah caeh o: to naah anih mah a hnukbang kaminawk Khaeah, Lawk ka thuih nathung, haeah anghnu oh, tiah a naa.
And they come into an estate the name of which is Gethsemane, and he saith unto his disciples—Sit ye here, while I pray.
33 Piter, Jakob hoi Johan to angmah khaeah a hoih, angmah loe dawnraihaih, tasoeh takuenhaih hoiah oh;
And he taketh Peter and James and John with him, and began to be exceedingly amazed, and in great distress;
34 nihcae khaeah, Ka hinghaih pakhra loe duek han khoek to palungset: haeah om oh loe, na zing oh, tiah a naa.
and he saith unto them—Encompassed with grief is my soul, unto death: Abide ye here, and be watching.
35 Anih loe ahmuen kangthla kue ah caeh moe, angcoeng thai nahaeloe, atue mah Anih to laem taak hanah, long ah cangkrawn hoiah lawk a thuih.
And, going forward a little, he fell upon the ground, and was praying that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him;
36 Anih mah, Abba, Pa, nang hanah hmuennawk boih angcoeng thaih; hae boengloeng hae kai khae hoiah takhoe ving ah: toe ka koehhaih baktih na ai ah, na koehhaih baktiah om nasoe, tiah lawk a thuih.
and was saying—Abba! O Father! All things, are possible to thee: Bear aside this cup from me; but not what, I, will, but what, thou, [wilt].
37 Anih angzoh naah, ka-iip nihcae to a hnuk, Piter khaeah, Simon, na iih maw? Atue maeto thung mataeng doeh na hak thai ai maw?
And he cometh and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter—Simon! art thou sleeping? Hadst thou not strength, one hour, to watch?
38 Lawkthuihaih hoiah hak oh, to tih ai nahaeloe pacuekhaih thungah na kun o moeng tih, pakhra mah loe koeh, toe takpum loe thazok, tiah a naa.
Be watching and praying, that ye enter not into temptation: the, spirit, indeed, is willing, but, the flesh, weak.
39 To pacoengah a caeh let moe, to tiah lawk a thuih let bae.
And, again, departing, he prayed, [the same thing, saying].
40 Anih angzoh naah, ka-iip nihcae to a hnuk let, (nihcae loe iih kangmue khang o ai), anih ih lok pathim han mataeng doeh koeh o ai.
And, again, coming, he found them sleeping, for their eyes were being, weighed down, —and they knew not what to answer him.
41 Anih vai thumto angzoh naah loe, nihcae khaeah, nang song o moe, vaihi khoek to na iih o vop maw? Khawt boeh, atue mah phak boeh; khenah, Kami Capa loe kazae kaminawk ban ah paek boeh.
And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them—Ye are sleeping the remaining time and taking your rest: —It is enough! the hour hath come! Lo! the Son of Man is being delivered up into the hands of sinners.
42 Angthawk oh, caeh o si boeh; khenah, kai angphat taak kami loe phak tom boeh, tiah a naa.
Be rousing yourselves, let us be leading on! Lo! he that is delivering me up, hath drawn near.
43 Anih lawkthuih li naah, akra ai ah kami hatlai hnetto thung ih maeto ah kaom Judah loe, kalen koek qaima, ca tarik kaminawk hoi kacoehtanawk mah patoeh ih sumsen hoi thingboeng sin pop parai kaminawk to angzoh haih.
And, straightway, while yet he is speaking, Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, cometh near, and, with him, a multitude, with swords and clubs, from the High-priests and the Scribes and the Elders.
44 Anih angphat taak kami mah nihcae hanah angmathaih a sak pae, Ka mok ih kami loe anih boeh ni; naeh oh loe, kahoih ah caeh o haih ah, tiah a naa.
He that is delivering him up hath given an agreed sign unto them, saying—Whomsoever I shall kiss, he, it is! Secure him, and be leading away, safely.
45 Jesu angzoh naah, Judah loe anih khaeah caeh phrat moe, Rabbi, Rabbi, tiah kawk pacoengah, anih to a mok.
And, coming, straightway, stepping forward to him, he saith—Rabbi! and openly kissed him.
46 To pacoengah nihcae angzoh o, anih to naeh o moe, a caeh o haih.
And, they, thrust their hands on him, and secured him.
47 Nihcae taengah angdoe kami maeto loe angmah ih sumsen to aphongh moe, kalen koek qaima tamna ih naa to takroek pae pat.
[A certain] one of the by-standers, drawing a sword, smote the servant of the High priest, and took off his, ear.
48 Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Kamqu naeh baktiah, kai naeh han ih maw sumsen hoi thingboeng hoiah nang zoh o?
And Jesus, answering, said unto them—As against a robber, came ye forth, with swords and clubs, to arrest me?
49 Ni thokkruek nangcae hoi nawnto ka oh moe, tempul thungah ka patuk naah mataeng doeh nang naeh o ai bae: toe cabu thung ih loknawk loe akoep han oh, tiah a naa.
Daily, was I with you, in the temple, teaching; and ye secured me not. But, that, the Scriptures, may be fulfilled…
50 To naah nihcae mah angphat o taak moe, cawn o taak boih.
And they, all, forsook, him, and fled.
51 Puu laihaw angkhuk thendoeng maeto loe anih hnukah bang; to ih kaminawk mah anih to naeh o:
And, a certain young man, was following with him, having cast about himself a fine Indian cloth, over his naked body, —and they are securing him;
52 toe anih mah puu laihaw to vah sut moe, bangkrai ah nihcae to a cawn taak ving.
but, he, leaving behind the cloth, fled naked.
53 Jesu to kalen koek qaima khaeah hoih o: kalen koek qaima, katoehtanawk hoi ca tarik kaminawk boih nawnto amkhueng o.
And they led away Jesus unto the High-priest; and all the High-priests and the Elders and the Scribes gather together.
54 Piter loe kalen koek qaima im khongkha thung khoek to, ahmuen kangthla hoiah anih hnukah bang.
And, Peter, afar of, followed him, as far as within, into the court of the High-priest; and was sitting with the attendants, and warming himself by the light.
55 Kalen koek qaima hoi rangpui toksah kaminawk boih mah Jesu hum hanah hnukung to pakrong o, toe hnu o ai.
Now, the High-priest, and all the High-council, were seeking, against Jesus, testimony, with the intent to put him to death, —and were not finding any;
56 Paroeai kaminawk loe anih hnukung amsawn ah oh o, toe nihcae hnukhaih loe maeto hoi maeto anghmong ai.
for, many, were bearing false-witness against him, and the testimonies were not, agreed.
57 Thoemto kaminawk loe angthawk o moe, anih hnukung amsawn ah oh o,
And some, standing up, were bearing false-witness against him, saying—
58 ban hoi sak ih hae tempul hae ka phraek moe, ban hoi sak ai ih tempul kalah to ni thumto thungah ka sak han, tiah anih mah thuih ih lok to ka thaih, tiah a thuih o.
We, heard him saying, I, will pull down this shrine, the one made by hand, and, in three days, another, not made by hand, will I raise.
59 Toe nihcae hnukung ah ohhaih loe maeto hoi maeto anghmong ai.
And, not even so, was the testimony, agreed.
60 Kalen koek qaihma loe rangpui hma ah angdoet moe, Jesu to lok a dueng, Tih lok doeh nang pathim mak ai maw? Hae kaminawk mah timaw ang net o? tiah a naa.
And, the High-priest rising up into the midst, questioned Jesus, saying—Answerest thou, nothing? What are these, against thee, witnessing?
61 Toe anih mah tih lok doeh pathim pae ai, angam taak duem. Kalen koek qaima mah anih khaeah, Nang loe Tahamhoih Capa, Kri maw? tiah a dueng let bae.
But, he, was silent, and answered, nothing. Again, the High-priest was questioning him, and saith unto him—Art, thou, the Christ the Son of the Blessed?
62 Jesu mah, Ue: Van ih tamai nuiah angzo, thacakhaih hoi bantang bangah anghnu, Kami Capa to na hnu o tih, tiah a naa.
And Jesus said—I, am; and ye shall see the Son of Man—sitting, on the right hand, of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
63 To naah kalen koek qaima mah angmah ih kahni to asih moe, Aicae mah kalah hnukung timaw angaihaih oh vop?
And, the High-priest, having rent asunder his inner-garments, saith—What, further, need have we, of witnesses?
64 Sithaw kasae thuihaih lok na thaih o boeh: kawbangmaw na poek o? tiah a naa. Nihcae boih mah anih to hum hanah lokcaek o.
Heard ye the profanity? What, to you, doth it appear? And they, all, condemned him to be, worthy, of, death.
65 Thoemto kaminawk mah anih to tamtui hoiah pathoih o, mikhmai khuk pae o khoep moe, thong o, anih khaeah, thui ah, tiah a naa o: tamnanawk mah doeh anih to tabaeng o.
And some began to be spitting at him, and, covering up his face, and to be buffeting him, and saying to him—Prophesy! And, the attendants, with smart blows, took him.
66 Piter im khongkha tlim ah oh naah, kalen koek qaima ih tamna nongpata maeto angzoh:
And, Peter, being, below in the court, there cometh one of the maid-servants of the High-priest;
67 hmai kangaw Piter to anih mah hnuk naah, nongpata mah anih to khet moe, Nang doeh Nazareth Jesu hoi nawnto kaom kami na ai maw? tiah a naa.
and, seeing Peter warming himself, having looked at him, saith—And, thou, wast, with the Nazarene—with Jesus.
68 Toe anih mah angphat taak, Na thuih ih lok to ka panoek ai, ka thaih kop ai, tiah a naa. To pacoengah im hmabang ah a caeh; to naah aa to khong.
But, he, denied, saying—I neither know [him], nor do I well understand what, thou, sayest; and went out into the porch.
69 Tamna nongpata maeto mah anih to hnuk let bae, a taengah angdoe kaminawk khaeah, Hae kami loe nihcae thung ih kami maeto ah oh, tiah a naa.
And, the maid-servant, seeing him, began, again, to be saying unto the by-standers—This one, is, from among them.
70 To naah anih mah angphat taak let bae.
But, he, again, was denying. And, after a little again, the by-standers, were saying unto Peter—Truly, thou, art, from among them; for thou art, a Galilaean, also.
71 Toe anih mah kasae lokkamhaih hoiah na thuih ih hae Kami loe ka panoek ai, tiah a naa.
And, he, began to be cursing and swearing—I know not this man, of whom ye are speaking!
72 To naah vai hnetto haih aa to khong. To naah Piter mah Jesu mah anih khaeah, aa vai hnetto khong ai naah vai thumto kai nang phat taak tih, tiah thuih pae ih lok to poek vawk. To lok to a poek naah palungset moe, a qah.
And, straightway, a second time, a cock, crowed; and Peter was reminded of the declaration, how Jesus had said to him—Before a cock, twice, crow, thrice, wilt thou deny me. And, when he thought thereon, he began to weep.
