< Luka 8 >

1 To pacoengah, Jesu loe vangpui hoi vangta boih ah caeh moe, Sithaw mah siangpahrang ah ukhaih prae ih kahoih tamthanglok to taphong, a hnukbang hatlai hnettonawk doeh anih khaeah oh o.
And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and showing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
2 Taqawk sae mah naehhaih thung hoi ngan katui let thoemto nongpatanawk, takoh thung hoiah taqawk sae sarihto tacawt Meri, tiah kawk ih Magdalene,
And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
3 Herod ih im khenzawnkung, Chuza ih zu Joanna, Susanna hoi Anih han angmacae ih hmuennawk kapaek kalah nongpatanawk to oh o.
And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered to him of their substance.
4 Avang kruek ih pop parai kaminawk nawnto amkhueng o moe, Anih khaeah angzoh o, to naah anih mah patahhaih lok to thuih pae:
And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spoke by a parable:
5 aantii haeh kami loe angmah ih aantii to haeh hanah a caeh: antii to a haeh naah thoemto loe loklam ah krak; kaminawk mah cawh o moe, van ih tavanawk mah akhuih o ving.
A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 Thoemto loe thlung nuiah krak; akra ai ah amprawk roep, toe long kahoih om ai pongah azaem ving.
And some fell on a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
7 Thoemto loe soekhring thungah krak; soekhring qoeng tahang naah, aankung to tacet hmoek.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
8 Thoemto aantii loe long kahoih nuiah krak, amprawk tahang moe, alet cumvai khoek to athaih. Hae loknawk a thuih pacoengah, anih mah, Thaihaih naa tawn kami loe thaih nasoe, tiah a naa.
And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bore fruit an hundred times. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
9 A hnukbang kaminawk mah patahhaih lok thuih koehhaih to anih khaeah dueng o.
And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
10 Anih mah, Sithaw mah siangpahrang ah ukhaih prae tamqu lok panoekhaih to nangcae khaeah paek boeh: toe kalah kaminawk khaeah loe patahhaih lok hoiah thuih han ih ni paek; Nihcae loe khen o cadoeh hnu o mak ai, thaih o cadoeh panoek o mak ai, tiah a naa.
And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11 Patahhaih lok thuih koehhaih loe hae tiah oh: aantii loe Sithaw lok to ni.
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Loklam ah krah aantii loe tamthanglok hoih thaih kami ah oh o, toe nihcae mah lok to tang o ueloe, pahlonghaih hnu o moeng tih, tih pongah taqawk loe angzoh moe, nihcae palung thung ih lok to lak pae ving.
Those by the way side are they that hear; then comes the devil, and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 Thlung nuiah kakrah aantii loe lok to thaih o moe, anghoehaih hoiah talawk o roep; toe tangzun om ai, a tanghaih loe nawnetta thung khueah oh pongah, pacuekhaih tue phak naah amtimh ving kami thuih koehhaih ih ni.
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 Soekhring thungah kakrah aantii loe lok to thaih o, toe hae long nui khosak mawnhaih, angraenghaih hoi kanawm acaenghaihnawk mah lok to khuk khoep pongah, athaih athai ai kami to thuih koehhaih ih ni.
And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 Toe kahoih long nuiah kakrah aantii loe, lok to toenghaih palungthin, kahoih palungthin hoiah tahngai moe, pakuem kami, palungsawkhaih hoiah athaih athai kami to thuih koehhaih ih ni.
But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 Mi mah doeh hmaithawk paaang naah, takho hoiah khuk vai ai, to tih ai boeh loe iihkhun tlim ah suem vai ai; imthung ah akun kaminawk mah aanghaih hnuk o thai hanah, hmaithawk paaanghaih ahmuen ah ni a suek o.
No man, when he has lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but sets it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
17 Amtueng thai ai, tamquta ah kaom hmuen tidoeh om ai baktih toengah, amtueng ai, panoek han ai ah kanghawk, hmuen tidoeh om ai.
For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
18 To pongah kawbangmaw ka thaih thai han, tiah acoehaih hoiah lok to tahngai oh: mi kawbaktih doeh katawn kami loe paek aep tih; katawn ai kami loe ka tawnh boeh, tiah a poek ih hmuen to doeh la pae kik tih, tiah a naa.
Take heed therefore how you hear: for whoever has, to him shall be given; and whoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he seems to have.
19 Jesu ih amno hoi nawkamyanawk loe anih khaeah angzoh o, toe kami pop parai pongah anih khaeah caeh o thai ai.
Then came to him his mother and his brothers, and could not come at him for the press.
20 Thoemto kaminawk mah, nam no hoi nam nawkamyanawk mah nang hnuk han koeh o pongah, tasa bangah angdoet o, tiah a naa.
And it was told him by certain which said, Your mother and your brothers stand without, desiring to see you.
21 Anih mah nihcae khaeah, Sithaw lok tahngai moe, to tiah khosah kaminawk loe Kai ih amno hoi Kai ih nawkamya ah ni oh o, tiah a naa.
And he answered and said to them, My mother and my brothers are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
22 Nito naah, anih loe a hnukbang kaminawk hoi nawnto palong thungah caeh, Anih mah nihcae khaeah, Tui kangbuem yaeh ah caeh o si, tiah a naa. Nihcae loe to ah caeh o.
Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
23 Toe a caeh o naah anih loe iih: tui kanguem a phak o naah takhi sae to song; palong thungah tui koi mong boeh pongah, nihcae loe raihaih tong o.
But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
24 A hnukbang kaminawk anih khaeah angzoh o moe, anih to palawt o, Angraeng, Angraeng, kang hmat o tom boeh, tiah a naa o.
And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 Anih mah a hnukbang kaminawk khaeah, Tanghaih naah maw na suek o? tiah a naa. Nihcae loe zit o moe, dawnraihaih hoiah oh o. Hae loe kawbaktih kami maw! Takhi hoi tui hanah lok a paek naah, a lok to tahngai pae o, tiah maeto hoi maeto a thuih o.
And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commands even the winds and water, and they obey him.
26 Nihcae loe Kalili prae zaeh ah kaom, Gerasenes prae ah caeh o.
And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 Anih saoeng ah phak naah, to vangpui ah kaom saning sawk parai ah taqawk mah naeh ih kami maeto mah Jesu to hnuk. To kami loe laihaw angkhuk ai, im ah doeh om ai, taprong ah ni khosak.
And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither stayed in any house, but in the tombs.
28 Anih mah Jesu to hnuk naah, anih khokkung ah amtimh, Kasang koek Sithaw Capa, Jesu, nang hoi kai timaw asaenghaih oh, kai hae na pacaekthlaek hmah, tahmenhaih kang hnik, tiah tha hoi a hangh.
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God most high? I beseech you, torment me not.
29 (Anih mah to kami ih takoh thung hoi tacawt hanah taqawk sae to lokpaek. To kami loe taqawk sae mah naeh tuektuek boeh: anih ih khok ban to sumqui hoiah pathlet pae o moe, sumboeng hoiah doeh thlongthuk o boeh; toe sumqui to taprawt pat pacoengah, taqawk mah anih to praezaek ah hoih ving.)
(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he broke the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
30 Jesu mah anih khaeah, Nang ih ahmin loe mi aa? tiah dueng. To naah anih mah, Takoh thungah taqawk oh mangh pongah, Legion, tiah a naa.
And Jesus asked him, saying, What is your name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 Nihcae to kathuk tahawt thungah caehsak han ai ah, anih khaeah tahmenhaih hnik o. (Abyssos g12)
And they sought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. (Abyssos g12)
32 To ah pop parai ok pacahhaih ahmuen to oh: nihcae mah ok thung akun hanah anih khaeah hnik o. To naah Anih mah akunsak.
And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they sought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
33 Taqawknawk loe kami takoh thung hoi tacawt o moe, ok takoh thungah akun o: to naah oknawk loe tui kangbuem ohhaih bangah cawnh o tathuk moe, tui uem o boih.
Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
34 To tiah kaom hmuen to ok pacah kaminawk mah hnuk o naah, vangpui hoi vangta ah cawnh o moe, to tiah kaom hmuen kawng to a thuih o.
When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.
35 To tiah kaom hmuen to khet hanah kaminawk loe to ahmuen ah caeh o; Jesu khaeah a phak o naah, kahni angkhuk moe, poek kaciim ah Jesu khokkung ah anghnu, takoh thung hoi taqawk tacawt kami to a hnuk o; nihcae mah to kami to zit o.
Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
36 Hnu kaminawk boih mah taqawk mah naeh ih kami loe kawbangmaw ngantui let, tito kaminawk khaeah thuih pae o.
They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.
37 Gaderene prae taengah kaom paroeai kaminawk loe zit o pongah, nihcae caehtaak hanah Angraeng khaeah tahmenhaih hnik o: to pongah anih palong thungah akun moe, amlaem let.
Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about sought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.
38 Takoh thung hoi taqawk tacawt kami mah Angraeng hnuk bang hanah a hnik: toe Jesu mah anih to patoeh ving,
Now the man out of whom the devils were departed sought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 nangmah im ah amlaem ah loe, Sithaw mah kawkruk ah kalen hmuen maw na nuiah sak, tito patuek ah, tiah a naa.
Return to your own house, and show how great things God has done to you. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done to him.
40 Jesu amlaem let naah, pop parai kaminawk mah anih to zing o, anih to oephaih hoiah talawk o.
And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
41 Khenah, Jairu, tiah ahmin kaom, Sineko ukkung maeto angzoh: anih loe Jesu khokkung ah tabok moe, anih im ah caeh pae hanah tahmenhaih a hnik:
And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and sought him that he would come into his house:
42 saning hatlai hnetto kaom, maeto khue tawn ih a canu loe, ngannat moe duek duih. Anih loklam ah caeh naah, pop parai kaminawk anih khaeah amkhueng o.
For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.
43 To naah saning hatlai hnetto athii kalong nongpata maeto oh, anih loe a tawnh ih hmuennawk to zawh boih moe, tuisi kop kami khaeah a caeh, toe mi mah doeh anih to ngantui o sak thai ai.
And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living on physicians, neither could be healed of any,
44 To nongpata loe anih hnuk ah caeh moe, anih ih kahni tom to sui: to naah kalong athii to dip roep.
Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
45 Jesu mah, Kai sui kami loe mi maw? tiah a naa. Kaminawk boih mah panoek ai, tiah a naa o. Piter hoi anih hoi nawnto kaom kaminawk mah, Angraeng, pop parai kaminawk mah nang ang et o moe, ang nuih o to loe, Kai sui kami loe mi maw? tiah na thuih, tiah a naa.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng you and press you, and say you, Who touched me?
46 Jesu mah, Kami maeto mah Kai ang sui: Kai khae hoi sakthaihaih tha tacawt boeh, tito ka panoek, tiah a naa.
And Jesus said, Somebody has touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
47 Nongpata mah kang phat thai ai boeh, tiah panoek naah, tasoehhaih hoiah a caeh moe, a hmaa ah cangkrawn pacoengah, anih suihaih hoi ngan a tuihaih kawng to paroeai kaminawk hmaa ah taphong.
And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared to him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48 To pacoengah nongpata khaeah, Ka canu, na tanghaih mah ang hoihsak boeh: kamongah caeh lai ah, tiah a naa.
And he said to her, Daughter, be of good comfort: your faith has made you whole; go in peace.
49 Anih mah lokthuih li naah, Sineko ukkung Jairu im hoiah kami maeto angzoh moe, Na canu loe duek boeh; Patukkung to raihaih paek khing hmah lai ah, tiah a naa.
While he yet spoke, there comes one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Your daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.
50 Jesu mah to lok to thaih naah, Jairu khaeah, Tasoeh hmah: tanghaih palung khue mah tawn ah, na canu loe ngantui let tih, tiah a naa.
But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
51 Anih Jairu im ah phak naah loe Piter, Johan, Jakob hoi nongpata ih amno ampanawk khue ai ah loe, mi doeh imthung ah akunsak ai.
And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.
52 Kaminawk boih anih hanah palungsethaih hoiah qah o haih: Anih mah, Qah o hmah; anih loe dueh ai, iih ni a iih, tiah a naa.
And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleeps.
53 Nongpata loe duek boeh, tiah nihcae mah panoek o pognah, Anih to pahnui o thuih.
And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
54 Anih loe to ah kaom kaminawk to tasa bangah tacawtsak boih moe, nongpata ih ban to patawnh pae, Nongpata ta, angthawk ah, tiah a naa.
And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
55 To naah anih ih pakhra amlaem let moe, angthawk roep: nongpata to caaknaek paek o hanah Jesu mah thuih pae.
And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.
56 Nongpata ih amno hoi ampa loe paroeai dawnrai hoi: toe to tiah kaom hmuen to mi khaeah doeh thuih han ai ah lok a paek.
And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.
