Johan 17

1 Jesu mah hae loknawk thuih pacoengah, van ah doeng tahang moe, Pa, atue mah phak boeh; na Capa mah Ang pakoeh hanah, na Capa hae pakoeh lai ah, tiah lawkthuih.

These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee:

2 Capa han na paek ih paroeai kaminawk khaeah, Capa mah dungzan hinghaih to paek hanah, kaminawk boih ukhaih to Capa khaeah na paek boeh. (aiōnios g166)

even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

3 Nihcae mah, Na patoeh ih Jesu Kri hoi nang khue ni Sithaw tangtang, tiah panoekhaih loe dungzan hinghaih ah oh. (aiōnios g166)

And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, [even] Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)

4 Sak han nang paek ih tok to ka pacoeng boeh: long nuiah na hmin ka pakoeh boeh.

I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.

5 Aw Pa, long om ai naah nang khae hoi ka tawnh ih lensawkhaih hoiah, vaihi nang mah hoi nawnto na pakoeh lai ah.

And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

6 Long hoiah nang paek ih kaminawk khaeah na hmin to kam tuengsak boeh: nihcae loe nang ih kami ah ni oh o, nihcae to kai hanah nang paek; nihcae mah na lok to pakuem o boeh.

I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.

7 Nang paek ih hmuennawk boih loe nang ih ni, tiah vaihi nihcae mah panoek o boeh.

Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:

8 Nang paek ih loknawk to nihcae khaeah ka thuih, nihcae mah lok to talawk o boeh, Kai loe nang khae hoiah ni kang zoh, tiah nihcae mah kamtueng ah panoek o boeh, Kai loe nang mah ni patoeh, tiah a tang o boeh.

for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received [them], and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.

9 Nihcae loe nang ih kami ah oh o pongah, nang paek ih kaminawk hanah, lawk ka thuih pae, long hanah lawk ka thui ai.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:

10 Ka tawnh ih hmuennawk boih loe nang ih ni, nang ih hmuennawk boih doeh Kai ih ni; nihcae rang hoiah kai loe pakoeh ah ka oh.

and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.

11 Kai loe vaihi long ah ka om ai boeh, toe nihcae loe long nuiah oh o vop, Kai loe nang khaeah kang zoh han boeh. Ciimcai Pa, Nang hoi Kai loe maeto ah a oh hoi baktih toengah, nang paek ih nihcae doeh, maeto ah a oh o thai hanah, na hmin hoiah khenzawn ah.

And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we [are].

12 Nihcae hoi nawnto long ah ka oh naah, nihcae to na hmin hoiah ka khetzawn: nang paek ih kaminawk to ka khetzawn boeh, toe Cabu akoep thai hanah, kanghmaa kangtaa capa thuih ai ah loe, maeto doeh anghmaa o ai.

While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 Vaihi nang khaeah kang zoh han boeh; Kang hoehaih hoiah nihcae koi o thai hanah, long ah hae loknawk hae ni ka thuih.

But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

14 Nihcae khaeah na lok to ka paek boeh; Kai loe long kami ah ka om ai baktih toengah, nihcae doeh long kami ah om o ai, to pongah long mah nihcae to hnukma.

I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

15 Long hoiah nihcae lak ving han lawk ka thui ai; kasae hmuen thung hoiah nihcae khetzawn han ih ni lawk ka thuih.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil [one].

16 Long ih hmuen ah ka om ai baktih toengah, nihcae doeh long ih hmuen ah om o ai.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17 Loktang na lok hoiah nihcae to ciimcaisak ah: na lok loe loktang ah oh.

Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.

18 Long nuiah kai nang patoeh baktih toengah, nihcae doeh long nuiah ka patoeh toeng.

As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.

19 Nihcae loktang lok hoiah ciimcai o thai hanah, nihcae pongah kaimah hoi kaimah to ciimcai ah ka oh.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

20 Nihcae han khue lawk ka thui ai, nihcae mah thuih o ih lok rang hoiah Kai tang han kaom kaminawk hanah doeh lawk ka thuih;

Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;

21 Kai loe nang mah ni patoeh, tiah long mah tang thai hanah, nihcae doeh aicae khaeah maeto ah oh o toeng, Pa, Kai thungah na oh moe, Kai nang thungah ka oh baktih toengah, nihcae boih maeto ah oh o thai hanah, lawk ka thuih.

that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.

22 Aicae maeto ah a oh o baktih toengah, nihcae doeh maeto ah oh o thaih moe,

And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one;

23 Kai nihcae thungah Ka oh moe, nang Kai thungah na oh, Kai nang patoeh moe, Kai nang palung baktih toengah, nihcae doeh na palung toeng, tiah long mah panoek moe, nihcae maeto ah oh o thai hanah, nihcae khaeah nang paek ih lensawkhaih to ka paek boeh.

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.

24 Pa, long om ai na hoiah boeh Kai nang palung boeh, nang paek ih ka lensawkhaih nihcae mah hnuk o thai hanah, nang paek ih kaminawk doeh ka ohhaih ahmuen ah kai hoi nawnto ohsak han ka koeh.

Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25 Aw katoeng Pa, long mah nang to panoek ai: toe Kaimah loe kang panoek; Kai loe nang mah ni patoeh, tito hae kaminawk mah panoek o boeh.

O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;

26 Nihcae khaeah na hmin ka taphong boeh, nang palunghaih nihcae khaeah oh moe, Kai nihcae thungah ka oh thai hanah, na hmin to ka taphong han vop, tiah a thuih.

and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.
