< Isaiah 66 >

1 Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih; van loe kang hnuthaih tangkhang ah oh, long loe ka khok koenghaih ah oh; kai han na sak ih im loe naa ah maw oh? Kang hakhaih ahmuen loe naa ah maw oh?
The Lord says, Heaven is the seat of my power, and earth is the resting-place for my feet: what sort of house will you make for me, and what place will be my resting-place?
2 Ka ban mah to baktih hmuennawk to sak pongah, to hmuennawk boih to oh o, tiah Angraeng mah thuih; poek pahnaemhaih palung tawn kami, dawnpakhuem kami, ka lok zithaih tawn kaminawk to ka khetzawn han.
For all these things my hand has made, and they are mine, says the Lord; but to this man only will I give attention, to him who is poor and broken in spirit, fearing my word.
3 Maitaw tae bop kami loe kami hum baktiah ni oh; tuucaa hoi angbawnhaih sah kami loe ui tahnong takroek kami hoiah anghmong; canghum paek kami loe okthii paek kami hoiah anghmong; hmuihoih thlaek kami loe krang han tahamhoihaih paek kami hoiah anghmong. Ue, to kaminawk loe angmacae koeh ih loklam to qoih o, nihcae hinghaih loe panuet kaom hmuen ah kanawm acaeng o.
He who puts an ox to death puts a man to death; he who makes an offering of a lamb puts a dog to death; he who makes a meal offering makes an offering of pig's blood; he who makes an offering of perfumes for a sign gives worship to an image: as they have gone after their desires, and their soul takes pleasure in their disgusting things;
4 Ka kawk naah mi mah doeh pathim o ai; lok ka thuih naah tahngai o ai; ka hmaa ah sethaih to a sak o moe, ka koeh ai ih hmuen to a qoih o pongah, kai doeh nihcae hanah raihaih to ka qoih pae moe, nihcae nuiah zit kaom hmuen ka phaksak han.
So I will go after trouble for them, and will send on them what they are fearing: because no one made answer to my voice, or gave ear to my word; but they did what was evil in my eyes, going after that in which I took no pleasure.
5 Angraeng ih lok zii kaminawk, a lok to tahngai oh; nangcae hnuma moe, ka hmin pongah haek ih nawkamyanawk mah, nangcae anghoehaih to hnuk o hanah, Angraeng loe lensawkhaih om nasoe, tiah thuih o; toe nihcae loe azathaih tong o tih.
Give ear to the word of the Lord, you who are in fear at his word: your countrymen, hating you, and driving you out because of my name, have said, Let the Lord's glory be made clear, so that we may see your joy; but they will be put to shame.
6 To lok loe vangpui thung ih hanghaih lok, tempul thung ih lok hoi Angraeng mah a misanawk lulakhaih lok ah oh.
There is a noise of war from the town, a sound from the Temple, the voice of the Lord giving punishment to his haters.
7 Zion canu loe caa tapenhaih kana panoek ai naah tapen boeh; caa tapenhaih kana panoek ai naah capa to tapen boeh.
Before her pains came, she gave birth; before her pains, she gave birth to a man-child.
8 Mi maw to baktih hmuennawk to thaih vaih? Mi maw to baktih hmuennawk to hnu vaih? Prae loe nito thungah tacawt thaih maw? Prae kaminawk doeh nito thungah nawnto tapen thai boih maw? Toe Zion loe caa tapenhaih kana panoek parai ai ah a caanawk to tapen boeh.
When has such a story come to men's ears? who has seen such things? will a land come to birth in one day? will a nation be given birth in a minute? For when Zion's pains came on her, she gave birth to her children straight away.
9 Kai mah nawkta ohsak tom naah, tapen ai ah ka ohsak maw? tiah Angraeng mah thuih; zok ka pomsak pacoengah, tapen ai ah ka omsak tih maw? tiah na Sithaw mah thuih.
Will I by whom the birth was started, not make it complete? says the Lord. Will I who make children come to birth, let them be kept back? says your God.
10 Jerusalem palung kaminawk, anih hoi nawnto anghoe oh loe poek nawm oh; anih palungsae haih kaminawk, anih hoi nawnto anghoe oh loe, nawm oh.
Have joy with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you her lovers: take part in her joy, all you who are sorrowing for her:
11 To tiah nahaeloe anih ih monghaih tahnutui to na nae o ueloe, nam hah o tih; tahnutui to na nae o ueloe, pop parai tahnutui longh pongah palung nang hoe o tih, tiah thuih.
So that you may take of the comfort flowing from her breasts, and be delighted with the full measure of her glory.
12 Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih; khenah, monghaih loe anih khaeah vapui baktiah ka longsak moe, Gentel kaminawk lensawkhaih to tui baktiah ka longsak han; tahnutui to na nae o tih, nongpata mah a caa to ban hoiah tapom moe, phaih nuiah pahawnh baktiah na om o tih.
For the Lord says, See, I will make her peace like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and she will take her children in her arms, gently caring for them on her knees.
13 Amno mah a caa pathloep baktiah, nangcae to kang pathloep han; nangcae to Jerusalem ah kang pathloep o han, tiah thuih.
As to one who is comforted by his mother, so will I give you comfort: and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 Hae hmuen na hnuk o naah nang hoe o ueloe, na huhongnawk doeh kahing phroh baktiah sai tih; Angraeng ih ban loe nihcae khaeah oh, tiah a tamnanawk mah panoek o ueloe, anih palungphuihaih to a misaknawk khaeah amtuengsak tih.
And you will see it and your heart will be glad, and your bones will get new strength, like young grass: and the hand of the Lord will be seen at work for his servants, and his wrath against his haters.
15 Khenah, Angraeng mah kanung parai palungphuihaih, kangqong hmai hoi thuitaekhaih to amtuengsak hanah, takhi kamhae baktiah kaom hrang lakoknawk to angthueng ueloe, hmai hoiah angzo tih.
For the Lord is coming with fire, and his war-carriages will be like the storm-wind; to give punishment in the heat of his wrath, and his passion is like flames of fire.
16 Angraeng loe hmai hoi sumsen hoiah kaminawk boih to lokcaek tih; pop parai kaminawk to Angraeng mah hum tih.
For with fire and sword will the Lord come, judging all the earth, and his sword will be on all flesh: and great numbers will be put to death by him.
17 Okmoi, pazu moi, panuet kaom moi caa kami hoi takha um ih thing maeto hnukbang ah angmacae hoi angmacae ciimcai hanah prae kalah kaminawk ih sithaw bok kaminawk loe, nawnto amro o boih tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
As for those who keep themselves separate, and make themselves clean in the gardens, going after one in the middle, taking pig's flesh for food, and other disgusting things, such as the mouse: their works and their thoughts will come to an end together, says the Lord.
18 Nihcae mah sak o ih tok hoi poekhaihnawk to ka panoek; prae congca kaminawk hoi lok congca apae kaminawk to nawnto ka pakhueng han; to naah nihcae angzo o ueloe, ka lensawkhaih to hnu o tih.
And I am coming to get together all nations and tongues: and they will come and will see my glory.
19 Nihcae salakah angmathaih to ka suek han, misa ban thung hoiah kaloih kaminawk to prae congca kaminawk, Spain prae Tarshish, Lud, tiah kawk ih Libia kaminawk, Lidia kaminawk (kalii kahhaih bangah ahmin amthang kaminawk) khaeah, Tubal hoi Javan, tiah kawk ih Grik kaminawk, ka tamthanglok thai vai ai, ka lensawkhaih hnu vai ai, angthla parai tuipui thungah kaom kaminawk salakah, ka patoeh han; nihcae mah ka lensawkhaih to Gentel kaminawk khaeah thui o tih.
And I will put a sign among them, and I will send those who are still living to the nations, to Tarshish, Put, and Lud, Meshech and Rosh, Tubal and Javan, to the sea-lands far away, who have not had word of me, or seen my glory; and they will give the knowledge of my glory to the nations.
20 Israel kaminawk mah Angraeng im ah tathlang ih hmuen to ciimcai laom pongah sin o baktih toengah, nihcae mah nam nawknamyanawk to hrang, hrang lakok, laa hrang, mule hrang, tahnogsawk hrang hoiah phaw o ueloe, Angraeng khae paek hanah, prae congca hoiah kai ih kaciim mae Jerusalem ah angzo o haih tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
And they will take your countrymen out of all the nations for an offering to the Lord, on horses, and in carriages, and in carts, and on asses, and on camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, as the children of Israel take their offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord.
21 Nihcae thungah thoemto kaminawk to qaima hoi Levi kami ah ka qoih han, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
And some of them will I take for priests and Levites, says the Lord.
22 Ka sak han koi van kangtha hoi long kangtha loe ka hmaa ah oh poe baktih toengah, na caanawk hoi na hmin doeh om poe tih, tiah a thuih.
For as the new heaven and the new earth which I will make will be for ever before me, says the Lord, so will your seed and your name be for ever.
23 Kaminawk boih mah kai ang bok o hanah, khrah kangtha kruek, Sabbath ni kruek angzo o tih, tiah Aangraeng mah thuih.
And it will be, that from new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh will come to give worship before me, says the Lord.
24 Nihcae mah caeh o ueloe, ka nuiah sethaih sah kaminawk ih qok to khen o tih; nihcae kacaa alungh loe dueh mak ai, nihcae kakangh hmai doeh dueh mak ai; nihcae loe kaminawk boih mah panuet ih kami ah om o tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
And they will go out to see the dead bodies of the men who have done evil against me: for their worm will ever be living, and their fire will never be put out, and they will be a thing of fear to all flesh.
