< Efisa 2 >

1 Nangcae sakpazaehaih hoi zaehaih thungah na duek o naah anih mah ang pathawk o;
[Unto] you also—being dead by your offences and sins,
2 canghniah loe hae long atawk baktih, takhi ukkung angraeng koehhaih baktiah na oh o, to muithla loe vaihi doeh lok tahngai ai kaminawk khaeah toksak: (aiōn g165)
In which at one time ye walked, according to the age of the world, according to the prince of the authority of the air, of the spirit that now energiseth in the sons of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
3 canghniah loe aicae boih doeh tang ai kaminawk salakah taksa koehhaih baktiah a sak o toeng, taksa hoi palung mah koeh ih baktih toengah a sak o; kalah kaminawk baktiah, aicae doeh taksa ah palungphuihaih katongh kami ah a oh o.
Among whom also, we all, had our behaviour, at one time, in the covetings of our flesh, doing the things desired by the flesh and the mind, and were children, by nature, of anger—even as the rest, —
4 Toe palungnathaih hoiah kakoi, Sithaw mah kathuk parai angmah ih amlunghaih hoiah aicae to palung pongah,
But, God, being rich in mercy, by reason of the great love wherewith he loved us,
5 zae thungah a duek o naah, Kri hoi nawnto aicae to hingsak let boeh, (tahmenhaih rang hoiah ni pahlong ah na oh o; )
Although we were dead by our offences, gave us life together with the Christ, —by favour, ye have been saved, —
6 Anih mah aicae nawnto pathawk moe, Kri Jesu rang hoiah van ahmuen ah aicae han anghnuthaih ahmuen to paek boeh.
And raised us up together, and seated us together in the heavenlies, in Christ:
7 Anih mah Kri Jesu rang hoiah angzo han koi adung ah, a palungnathaih hoi kathuk parai tahmenhaih to amtuengsak tih. (aiōn g165)
That he might point out, in the oncoming ages, the surpassing riches of his favour in graciousness upon us, in Christ Jesus; (aiōn g165)
8 Nangcae loe tahmen pongah, tanghaih rang hoiah, pahlong ah na oh o; nangmacae koehah hak ih na ai ni: Sithaw ih tangqum ni:
For, by his favour, have ye been saved, through means of faith, and this [hath come to pass] —not from you, of God, the free-gift!
9 toksakhaih rang hoiah hak ih na ai ni, to tiah nahaeloe mi kawbaktih doeh amoek han om ai.
Not from works, lest anyone should boast.
10 Hmuen kahoih a sak o thai hanah, Kri Jesu ah sak ih kami ah a oh o moe, a ban thung hoi tacawt kami ah a oh o, to baktih kahoih hmuen thungah a caeh o thai hanah, Sithaw mah paroep coek boeh.
His, in fact we are—his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus upon a footing of good works, which God prepared beforehand, that, therein, we might walk.
11 To pongah nangcae loe canghniah taksa ah Gentel kami ah na oh o, taksa ah ban hoi tangzat hin aat kaminawk mah, tangzat hin aat ai kami, tiah ang kawk o ih lok to poek oh;
Wherefore, keep in remembrance—that, at one time, ye, the nations in flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by the so-called Circumcision in flesh, made by hand,
12 to nathuem ah Kri na tawn o ai vop, Israel kaminawk khaeah angvin ah na oh o pongah, lokkamhaih thungah kaom lokmaihaih thung hoiah doeh angvin ah na oh o; long nuiah Sithaw tawn ai ah na oh o moe, oephaih tawn ai kami ah na oh o:
That ye were, in that season, separate from Christ, alienated from the citizenship of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and godless in the world;
13 canghniah kangthla ah kaom nangcae loe vaihi Kri ih athii rang hoiah Kri Jesu ah kanghnai ah na oh o boeh.
But, just now, in Christ Jesus, ye, who at one time were afar off, were made nigh in the blood of the Christ;
14 Anih loe aicae misa angdaehhaih ah oh, aicae salakah kaom pakaa ih tapang to phraek moe, hnetto to maeto ah a sak boeh;
He, in fact, is our peace—who made both one, and, the enclosing middle-wall, took down,
15 a taksa ah misa ah kaom, toksak han kangaih kaalok hoi atawknawk to a phraek; Angmah ah acaeng hnetto to kangtha acaeng maeto ah a sak, to tiah misa angdaehaih to a sak;
The enmity, in his flesh—the law of commandments in decrees—bringing to nought, —that, the two, he might create in himself, into one man of new mould, making peace.
16 thinglam rang hoiah acaeng hnetto to takpum maeto ah a sak, Sithaw khaeah to tiah angdaehhaih to a sak hmaek moe, misa ah ohhaih to a dueksak:
And might fully reconcile them both, in one body, through means of the cross, —slaying the enmity thereby; —
17 Anih loe kangthla ah kaom nangcae khae hoi kazoi ah kaom kaminawk khaeah angzoh moe, angdaehhaih tamthanglok to thuih.
And, coming, he announced the glad-message—of peace, unto you, the far off, and peace, unto them that were nigh;
18 Anih rang hoiah aihnik loe Muithla maeto ah Ampa khae akun thaihaih a tawn hoi.
Because, through him, we have our introduction—we both—in one Spirit, unto the Father.
19 To pongah nangcae loe vaihi acaeng kalah kami hoi angvin ah na om o ai boeh, prae kami hoi kaciim kami, Sithaw imthungah kaom kami ah ni na oh o boeh;
Hence, then—no longer, are ye strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and members of the household of God, —
20 nangcae loe patoeh ih kaminawk hoi tahmaanawk nuiah sak ih im ah ni na oh o boeh, Jesu Kri angmah loe im takii ah tling ih kalen koek thlung ah oh,
Having been built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, there being, for chief corner stone, Jesus Christ himself, —
21 im boih thlung hoi nawnto peh moe, Angraeng ah qoeng tahang pongah, kacai tempul maeto ah oh:
In whom, an entire building, in process of being fitly joined together, is growing into a holy shrine in [the] Lord;
22 Muithla ah kaom Sithaw ohhaih ahmuen ah oh thai hanah, nangcae doeh kaicae hoi nawnto im to na sak o toeng.
In whom, ye also, are being builded together, into a habitation of God in Spirit.
