< Kolosa 2 >

1 Nang cae hoi taksa ah kai hnu vai ai kaminawk hanah Laodicia ah kawkruk maw raihaih ka tongh, tito na panoek o han ka koeh;
For it is my desire to give you news of the great fight I am making for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 amlunghaih bangah nawnto amhong moe, hmuennawk boih koep ah panoekhaih a tawnh o thaih pacoengah, Ampa hoi Kri ah kaom kathuk Sithaw ih lok panoek o thai hanah, nihcae to tha ka paek.
So that their hearts may be comforted, and that being joined together in love, they may come to the full wealth of the certain knowledge of the secret of God, even Christ,
3 Kamtueng ai palunghahaih hoi panoekhaihnawk boih loe Anih thungah ni oh.
In whom are all the secret stores of wisdom and knowledge.
4 Mi kawbaktih mah doeh lokthuih kophaih hoiah ang ling o han ai ah, hae lok hae kang thuih o.
I say this so that you may not be turned away by any deceit of words.
5 Kai loe taksa ah nangcae khae ka om ai, toe palung hoiah loe nangcae khaeah ni ka oh, kahoih ah kho na sak o moe, Kri tanghaih kacak to ka hnuk naah kang hoe.
For though I am not present in the flesh, still I am with you in the spirit, seeing with joy your order, and your unchanging faith in Christ.
6 Kri Jesu to Angraeng ah na tawnh o boeh pongah, anih ah om o poe ah:
As, then, you took Christ Jesus the Lord, so go on in him,
7 Angmah khaeah tangzun kacakah sah oh loe, qoeng o tahang ah, ang patuk o ih baktih toengah, tanghaih ah thacak o sak ah loe, kawnhaih lawkthuih hoiah koi oh.
Rooted and based together in him, strong in the faith which the teaching gave you, giving praise to God at all times.
8 Acoe oh, to tih ai nahaeloe Kri Jesu khae hoi angzo baktih na ai, kaminawk khosakhaih atawk baktih, long nui khosakhaih atawk baktiah sak ih, long palunghahaih hoi atho kaom ai zoekhaih lok hoiah na ling o moeng tih.
Take care that no one takes you away by force, through man's wisdom and deceit, going after the beliefs of men and the theories of the world, and not after Christ:
9 Sithaw takpum akoephaih loe Anih ah ni oh.
For in him all the wealth of God's being has a living form,
10 Nangcae loe Anih ah na koep o, anih loe angraenghaih hoi akaa tawnhaihnawk boih ih lu ah oh:
And you are complete in him, who is the head of all rule and authority:
11 Angmah ah ni, ban hoi aat ai ih tangzat hin to na aah o, Kri ah tangzat hin aahhaih rang hoiah takpum ah kaom taksa zaehaih to na toengh o boeh:
In whom you had a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;
12 tuinuemhaih hoiah Anih hoi nawnto na phum o moe, duekhaih thung hoiah Anih pathawkkung, Sithaw thacakhaih to na tang o pongah, Anih hoi nawnto nang thawk o toeng boeh.
Having been put to death with him in baptism, by which you came to life again with him, through faith in the working of God, who made him come back from the dead.
13 Nangcae taksa ah tangzat hin aat ai kaminawk loe na zae o haih pongah na duek o; toe Anih mah Kri hoi nawnto ang pathawk o moe, nangcae zaehaihnawk boih to tahmen boeh;
And you, being dead through your sins and the evil condition of your flesh, to you, I say, he gave life together with him, and forgiveness of all our sins;
14 aicae ih misa, aicae hoi buenglueng tamlet ah kaom, ban hoi tarik ih ca loe phraek ving boeh, Anih mah to ca to lak moe, thinglam pongah takhing boeh;
Having put an end to the handwriting of the law which was against us, taking it out of the way by nailing it to his cross;
15 thacakhaih hoi kasang akaa tawnhaihnawk to phraek moe, nihcae pazawkhaih to thinglam nuiah amtuengsak boeh.
Having made himself free from the rule of authorities and powers, he put them openly to shame, glorying over them in it.
16 To pongah caaknaek pongah maw, to tih ai boeh loe tok anghakhaih ni pongah maw, to tih ai boeh loe Khrah kangtha pongah maw, to tih ai boeh loe Sabbath ni pongah maw, mi mah doeh lok na caek o hmah nasoe:
For this reason let no man be your judge in any question of food or drink or feast days or new moons or Sabbaths:
17 to hmuennawk loe angzo han koi hmuennawk ih tahlip ah ni oh o; toe takpum loe Kri ni.
For these are an image of the things which are to come; but the body is Christ's.
18 Tih hmuen doeh hnukhaih om ai to mah, hmuen hnuksakhaih ka tawnh, tiah amoek kami, long taksa koehhaih palungthin tawn kami, minawk tlim ah khosah kami baktiah kamtueng kami, van kaminawk bok kami, kawbaktih kami mah doeh na hnuk o ih tangqum to lom o hmah nasoe,
Let no man take your reward from you by consciously making little of himself and giving worship to angels; having his thoughts fixed on the things which he has seen, being foolishly lifted up in his natural mind,
19 nihcae loe Lu ah kaom Kri hoi angpehhaih tidoeh om ai, lu hoi takpum to angpeh moe, ahuh hoi thaquinawk boih nawnto amcong o, to tiah takpum boih tha a caksak moe, Sithaw koehhaih ah a qoengsak.
And not joined to the Head, from whom all the body, being given strength and kept together through its joins and bands, has its growth with the increase of God.
20 To pongah nangcae loe amsoem ai long patukhaih hmuen thung hoiah Kri hoi nawnto na duek o boeh nahaeloe, tipongah long khosakhaih baktiah na hing o moe,
If you were made free, by your death with Christ, from the rules of the world, why do you put yourselves under the authority of orders
21 (sui hmah, pataengh hmah, patawn hmah, tiah kaom ukhaih thungah na oh o vop loe?
Which say there may be no touching, tasting, or taking in your hands,
22 To hmuennawk loe kaminawk mah thuih o ih loknawk hoi patukhaih ah oh pongah, anghmaa han koi hmuen ah ni oh.)
(Rules which are all to come to an end with their use) after the orders and teaching of men?
23 To baktih hmuennawk loe aimah koeh ah Sithaw bokhaih, poek pahnaemhaih, taksa koehhaih angsum thaih hmuen baktiah amtueng, toe taksa koehhaih to pazawk thai tangtang ai.
These things seem to have a sort of wisdom in self-ordered worship and making little of oneself, and being cruel to the body, not honouring it by giving it its natural use.
