They were amazed and marveled; they said, “Really, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?
8 Kawbangmaw aimacae ih lok baktih toengah, a thaih o boih halat?
Why is it that we are hearing them, each in our own language in which we were born?
9 Aicae loe Parthia, Media, Elam prae ah kaom kami; Mesopotamia, Judea, Kapadocia, Pontus hoi Asia,
Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and those who live in Mesopotamia, in Judea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,

12 Nihcae boih dawnrai o moe, poek anghmang o sut, hae hmuen loe tih thuih koehhaih ih maw vai? tiah maeto hoi maeto angdueng o.
They were all amazed and perplexed; they said to one another, “What does this mean?”
13 To naah kalah kaminawk mah, Hae kaminawk loe kangtha misurtui ni zok koiah naek o, tiah pahnui o thuih.
But others mocked and said, “They are full of new wine.”

For these people are not drunk as you assume, for it is only the third hour of the day.
16 Hae loe tahmaa Joel mah,
But this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:

'It will be in the last days,' God says, 'I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
18 to na niah loe ka tamna nongpa hoi nongpatanawk nuiah Ka Muithla to ka kraih han; nihcae mah lok to taphong o tih:
Also on my servants and my female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they will prophesy.

Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man accredited to you by God by the mighty deeds, the wonders, and the signs which God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know.
23 Sithaw mah panoek coek moe, khokhan tangcae baktih toengah, Anih to na naeh o moe, kami zae ban hoiah thinglam pongah takhing pacoeng ah, na hum o:
This man was handed over by God's predetermined plan and foreknowledge; and you, by the hand of lawless men, put him to death by nailing him to a cross.
24 toe Anih loe Sithaw mah duekhaih thung hoiah loihsak moe, hing hanah pathawk let boeh: duekhaih mah Anih to patawn caeng thai ai.

26 to pongah ka palung loe anghoe moe, ka palai mah kawnhaih to tawnh; ka takpum doeh oephaih hoiah om tih:
Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced. Also, my flesh will live in certain hope.
27 ka hinghaih pakhra hell thungah Nang caehtaak mak ai, nangmah ih kaciim kami to na qongsak mak ai. (Hadēs g86)

Therefore, he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn with an oath to him, that he would set one of the fruit of his body upon his throne.

He saw what was to happen in the future and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, 'He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see decay.' (Hadēs g86)
32 Aicae loe Sithaw mah Jesu pathawk let boeh, tiah hnukung ah oh o.

Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God and having received the promised Holy Spirit from the Father, he has poured out what you see and hear.
34 David loe van ah daw tahang ai: toe anih mah, Angraeng mah kai ih Angraeng khaeah, na misanawk to na khokkoenghaih ahmuen ah ka sah ai karoek to, ka bantang bangah anghnu ah, tiah a naa, tiah thuih.
For David did not ascend to the heaven, but he says, 'The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies the stool for your feet.”'
36 To pongah Israel imthung takoh boih mah hae hae kahoihah panoek o nasoe, thinglam pongah na takhing o ih, Jesu loe Sithaw mah Angraeng hoi Kri ah ohsak boeh, tiah a naa.

39 Lokkamhaih loe nangmacae han ih, na caanawk han ih, kangthla ah kaom kaminawk hoi aicae Angraeng Sithaw mah kawk hanah kaom kaminawk boih han ih ni, tiah a naa.
For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, as many people as the Lord our God will call.”
40 Hae lam amkhraeng kaminawk thung hoiah nangmacae hoi nangmacae amhlong oh, tiah anih mah kalah paroeai thapaekhaih loknawk to thuih pae.
With many other words he testified and urged them; he said, “Save yourselves from this wicked generation.”
41 Oephaih hoiah anih ih lok talawk kaminawk loe tuinuemhaih to hnuk o, to na niah tang kaminawk sangthumto nihcae khaeah angpaek o.
Then they received his word and were baptized, and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.

Fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

All who believed were together and had all things in common,

and they sold their property and possessions and distributed them to all, according to the needs anyone had.
46 Nihcae loe nithokkruek tempul thungah poek amhonghaih hoiah oh o, im maeto pacoeng maeto takaw a aeh o moe, kawnhaih palungthin hoiah a caak o,
So day after day they continued with one purpose in the temple, and they broke bread in homes, and they shared food with glad and humble hearts,
47 Sithaw to pakoeh o moe, kaminawk boih koehhaih baktih toengah khosak o. Sithaw mah nithokkruek kricabu thungah pahlonghaih hnu kaminawk to pungsak.
praising God and having favor with all the people, and every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
