And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Prae ukkung mah to hmuen to hnuk naah, tanghaih tawnh, Angraeng ih patukhaih hmuen nuiah a dawnrai.
Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.
18 Saning quipalito thung praezaek ah nihcae to a khetzawn.

And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
22 Anih mah Saul to pahnawt pacoengah, David to nihcae ih siangpahrang ah a suek pae; David kawng pongah, Kaimah ih palung baktiah kaom, Jesse capa David to ka hnuk boeh, anih mah ni saksak han ka koeh ih hmuen to akoepsak tih, tiah a thuih.
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will.
23 Hae kami ih atii thung hoiah Sithaw mah Israel kaminawk khaeah lokkamhaih sak baktih toengah, Pahlongkung, Jesu to a paek:
Of this man's seed has God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 anih angzo ai naah, Johan mah Israelnawk boih khaeah dawnpakhuem tuinuemhaih kawng to thuih pae.
When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think all of you that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there comes one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 Nawkamyanawk, Abraham ih caa hoi nangcae thungah kaom Sithaw zii kaminawk, nangcae khaeah hae pahlonghaih lok hae patoeh boeh.
Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you fears God, to you is the word (logos) of this salvation sent.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
28 Nihcae loe Anih duek han khoek to zaehaih hnu o ai, toe Anih to hum hanah Pilat khaeah a hnik o.
And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
29 Tarik ih Anih thuihhaih lok boih loe nihcae mah akoep o sak boeh, thinglam hoiah a lak o moe, Anih to taprong ah aphum o.
And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb.
30 Toe Sithaw mah Anih to duekhaih thung hoiah pathawk let:
But God raised him from the dead:
31 Kalili hoi Jerusalem ah Anih hoi nawnto kacaeh kaminawk mah loe ni paroeai thungah Anih to hnuk o, nihcae loe kaminawk han hnukung ah oh o.
And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
32 To pongah aicae ampanawk khaeah Sithaw mah paek ih lokkamhaih, kahoih tamthanglok to nangcae khaeah kang thuih o.
And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,

God has fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he has raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, You are my Son, this day have I begotten you.
34 Sithaw mah duekhaih thung hoiah anih pathawk let naah, vaihi kaqong thungah amlaem let mak ai boeh, tiah a thuih: David khaeah ka suek ih kacak palungnathaih lok to kang paek o han, tiah a thuih.
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said likewise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
35 Kalah Saam Cabu pongah loe, Nangmah ih kaciim kami to natuek naah doeh na qongsak mak ai, tiah thuih let bae.
Wherefore he says also in another psalm, You shall not suffer your Holy One to see corruption.
36 Sithaw koehhaih baktiah David loe angmah ih adung thung Sithaw ih tok to sak moe, a duek; anih loe ampanawk khaeah aphum o, anih ih takpum loe amro.
For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 Toe Sithaw mah pathawk let ih kami loe amro ai.
But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
38 To pongah nawkamyanawk, hae kami rang hoiah zae tahmenhaih nangcae khaeah taphong boeh, tito panoek oh.
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 Mosi ih kaalok hoiah toenghaih to hnu thai ai, toe anih rang hoiah loe tangcaanawk boih mah toenghaih to hnuk o.
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which all of you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 Acoe oh, to tih ai nahaeloe tahmaanawk mah thuih ih lok to nangcae nuiah phak moeng tih;
Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41 Khen oh, nangcae kami khet patoek kaminawk, dawnrai oh loe, anghmaa angtaa oh: na hing o thung tok ka sak, to tiah sak ih tok to kami maeto mah na thui o cadoeh na tang o thai mak ai, tiah thuih ih lok to nangcae nuiah pha o sak hmah, tiah a naa.
Behold, all of you despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which all of you shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
42 Judahnawk ih Sineko hoi tacawt o pacoengah, Gentelnawk mah to kawng to hmabang ih Sabbath niah, nihcae khae thuih let hanah tahmenhaih hnik o.
And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words (rhema) might be preached to them the next sabbath.
43 Amkhuenghaih boeng pacoengah, Judahnawk hoi Judah bokhaih thungah angqoi kaminawk loe Paul hoi Barnaba hnukah bang o: nihnik mah Sithaw tahmenhaih thungah oh o poe hanah, lokthuih pae hoi.
Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44 Hmabang ih Sabbath ni phak let naah doeh, Sithaw lok to tahngaih hanah, vangpui thung ih kapop kaminawk angzoh o.
And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word (logos) of God.
45 Toe Judahnawk mah kaminawk to hnuk o naah, uthaih palung hoiah koi o, Paul mah thuih ih loknawk to aek o moe, kasae a thuih o.
But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spoke against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 To pacoengah Paul hoi Barnabas loe misahoihaih hoiah nihcae khaeah lokthuih pae hoi, Sithaw lok loe nangcae khaeah thuih o hmaloe han oh: toe nangcae mah na pahnawt o moe, nangmacae hoi nangmacae to dungzan hinghaih hoi kamcuk ai ah na poek o pongah, khenah, kaihnik loe Gentelnawk khaeah kang qoi hoi boeh. (aiōnios g166)
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word (logos) of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing all of you put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
47 Angraeng mah kaihnik khaeah hae tiah lok a thuih; long boeng khoek to pahlonghaih sin hanah, nanghnik loe Gentelnawk aanghaih ah kang ohsak boeh, tiah thuih, tiah a naa.
For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set you to be a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 Gentelnawk mah to lok to thaih o naah, anghoe o moe, Angraeng ih lok to pakoeh o; dungzan hinghaih hnuk hanah pahoe ih kaminawk boih mah tang o. (aiōnios g166)
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word (logos) of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. (aiōnios g166)
49 Angraeng ih lok loe to prae thung boih ah amthang.
And the word (logos) of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
50 Toe Judahnawk mah Sithaw kazom kami, araengh kasang nongpatanawk hoi vangpui thung ih ukkungnawk to pacuek moe, Pawl hoi Barnabas to pacaekthlaek sak, nihnik to angmacae prae thung hoiah a haek o.
But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.
51 To pongah nihnik mah nihcae koeh ai ih hmuen amtuengsak hanah, akhok pong ih maiphu to takhoek hoi thuih moe, Ikonium vangpui ah a caeh hoi taak.
But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.
52 Hnukbang kaminawk loe anghoehaih hoi Kacai Muithla hoiah koi o.
And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)
