< 2 Timote 2 >

1 To pongah ka capa, nang loe Kri Jesu ah kaom tahmenhaih hoiah kacakah om ah.
Thou, therefore, my child, be empowering thyself in the favour that is in Christ Jesus,
2 Ka patuk ih loknawk to kai khae hoiah na thaih boeh, tito hnukung kami paroeai oh o; to tiah na thaih ih loknawk to kalah kaminawk patuk thaih koiah kaom oep kathok kaminawk khaeah patuk pae patoeng ah.
And, the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same, entrust thou unto faithful men, such as shall be, competent, to teach, others also.
3 Jesu Kri ih misatuh kahoih maeto ah na oh baktih toengah, raihaih to pauep ah.
Take thy part in suffering hardship, as a brave soldier of Christ Jesus: —
4 Misatuh kami maeto loe misatukhaih hoi kasaeng ai tok to sah pakaep vai ai, misatuh kami maeto ah omsakkung angmah ih angraeng palung tongh han ih ni tok to a sak.
No one that is serving as a soldier, entangleth himself with the matters of his livelihood, that he may please him that hath summoned him to serve as a soldier;
5 Mi kawbaktih doeh amhaihaih poihkung ah patoh han sak ih daan pazui ai kami loe, lumuek to hnu mak ai.
If, moreover, any man, contend even in the games, he is not crowned, unless, lawfully, he contend;
6 Lawk toksah kami loe, a lawk thung hoi tacawt thingthai qumpo to a caak hmaloe han oh.
The toiling husbandman, ought, first, of the fruits, to partake:
7 Ka thuih ih lok hae poek ah; hmuennawk boih panoek thaihaih to Angraeng mah na paek tih.
Think, as to what I am speaking; for the Lord will give thee discernment in all things.
8 Ka thuih ih tamthanglok hoih baktih toengah, David ih atii Jesu Kri loe duekhaih thung hoiah angthawk let boeh, tiah panoek oh:
Keep in mind Jesus Christ—raised from among the dead, of the seed of David, —according to my joyful message:
9 kai loe to tamthanglok pongah, zaehaih sah kami baktiah sumqui hoi pathlet han khoek to raihaih ka tongh; toe Sithaw ih lok loe sumqui hoi taoeng thai mak ai.
In which I am suffering hardship, even unto bonds, as an evil-doer; but, the word of God, is not bound.
10 To pongah Kri Jesu ah kaom pahlonghaih hoi dungzan lensawkhaih to nihcae mah hnuk o thai toeng hanah, qoih ih kaminawk pongah hmuen boih ah pauephaih ka tawnh. (aiōnios g166)
For this cause, am I enduring, all things, for the sake of the chosen, in order that, they also, may obtain, the salvation, which is in Christ Jesus along with glory age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
11 Hae lok loe oep kathok lok ah oh: anih hoi nawnto a duek o nahaeloe, anih hoi nawnto a hing o toeng tih:
Faithful, the saying—for, If we have died together, we shall also live together,
12 karai tonghaih to a pauep o nahaeloe, anih hoi nawnto a uk o toeng tih: anih to angphat o taak nahaeloe, anih mah doeh aicae angphat taak toeng tih:
If we endure, we shall also reign together; If we shall deny, he also, will deny us,
13 aicae oepthok ai cadoeh, anih loe oepthoh, anih loe angmah hoi angmah to angphat taak thai ai.
If we are faithless, he, faithful, abideth, —for, deny himself, he cannot!
14 Hae hmuennawk hae minawk han panoeksak ah, lok tahngai kaminawk amrosak hanah kaom, tidoeh atho kaom ai loknawk nihcae mah angaek o han ai ah, Sithaw hmaa ah thui paeh.
Of these things, be putting [them] in remembrance, adjuring [them] before God not to be waging word-battles, —useful, for nothing, occasioning a subversion of them that hearken.
15 Sithaw mah ang tapom thai hanah Sithaw lok to amtuk ah, toksah kami, Sithaw lok katoengah pathlaeng thaih kami loe azat han om ai.
Give diligence, thyself, approved, to present unto God, —a workman not to be put to shame, skillfully handling the word of truth.
16 Toe kamhnong moe, ahlong kaom ai lokthuihaihnawk to ayae ah: to baktih lokthui kaminawk mah loe Sithaw panoek ai ah khosakhaih loklam to ni pung o sak aep tih.
But, the profane pratings, shun; for, unto more ungodliness, will they force themselves on;
17 Nathaih amii mah ngan caak baktih toengah a thuih o ih lok mah doeh caa tih: nihcae thungah Himinia hoi Phileta athum hoi;
And, their discourse, as a gangrene, will eat its way; —of whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 nihnik mah kadueh kaminawk loe angthawk o pacoeng boeh, tiah thuih hoi; thoemto kaminawk tanghaih to nihnik mah amro hoi sak ving boeh.
Men who, concerning the truth, have erred, affirming, a resurrection, already, to have taken place, and are overthrowing the faith, of some.
19 Toe Sithaw mah kacakah sak ih ahmuen loe angdoet poe, Angraeng mah angmah ih kaminawk to panoek, Kri ih ahmin phaw kami boih loe zaehaih to caehtaak nasoe, tiah catui daeng ih tacik to tawnh.
Howbeit, the firm foundation of God, standeth, having this seal—The Lord hath acknowledged them who are his, and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord stand aloof from unrighteousness.
20 Toe impui thungah loe sui hoi sak ih laom, sum kanglung hoi sak ih laom khue to om ai, thing laom hoi long laom doeh oh toeng, thoemto loe pakoeh koi kaom ah oh o, thoemto loe pakoeh han krah ai.
But, in a great house, there are not only gold and silver vessels, but, also wooden and earthen: and, some, indeed, for honour, while, some, are for dishonour:
21 To pongah mi kawbaktih doeh kaciim ah kaom kami loe, pakoeh koi kaom laom, ciimcai, angraeng mah patoh han kakrah laom ah om ueloe, kahoih tok to sak boih hanah amsakcoek kami ah om tih.
If, therefore, anyone will, for pureness, sever himself from these, he shall be a vessel for honour, hallowed, meet for the Master’s use, for every good work, prepared.
22 Qoengli nathuem ah kaom taksa koehhaih to cawntaak ah: toenghaih, tanghaih, amlunghaih hoi monghaih loklam to pazui ah; poekciimhaih hoiah Angraeng ih ahmin kawk kaminawk hoi angkom ah.
But, from the youthful covetings, flee! and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with them who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 Toe amthuhaih hoi palunghahaih kaom ai lok angaekhaihnawk to ayae ah, to hmuennawk mah loe angzoehhaih ni tacawtsak, tito panoek ah.
But, from the foolish and undisciplined questionings, excuse thyself, knowing that they gender strifes;
24 Angraeng ih tamna loe lok angaek han om ai; kami boih khaeah tuinom tawn kami, patuk thaih kami, pauep thaih kami ah oh han angaih.
And, a servant of the Lord, ought not to strive, but to be, gentle, towards all, apt in teaching, ready to endure malice, —
25 Lok angaek kaminawk mah loktang panoek o thai hanah, poeknaemhaih hoiah thuitaek han angaih; to tiah nahaeloe Sithaw mah nihcae han dawnpakhuemhaih paek khoe doeh om tih;
In meekness, bringing under discipline them that oppose themselves, lest at any time God should give them repentance unto a personal knowledge of truth,
26 to tiah ni Setan koehhaih sak hanah misong ah naeh ih kaminawk mah panoekhaih tawn o let ueloe, taqawk ih thaang thung hoiah loih o let khoe doeh om tih.
And they should wake up to sobriety out of, the adversary’s, snare, —though they have been taken alive by him for, that one’s, will.
