1 Hnukkhuem koekah, nawkamyanawk, Angraeng ih lok nangcae thungah oh baktih toengah, tamthanglok to karangah pung moe, lensawkhaih amtueng thai han hoi,
For the rest, brethren, be praying for us, —that, the word of the Lord, may be running, and gaining glory, according as [it did] even with you;
2 kami boih mah tanghaih tawn o ai pongah, tidoeh kavang ai kami hoi kasae kaminawk ban thung hoiah ka loih o thai hanah, kaicae han lawk na thui pae oh.
And that we may be rescued from the presuming and wicked men; for, not all, hold the faith.
3 Toe Angraeng loe oepthoh, anih mah tha na cak o sak ueloe, kahoih ai hmuen thung hoiah na loih o sak tih.
Faithful, is the Lord, —who will confirm you, and guard you from the wicked one:
4 Kang thuih o ih hmuennawk na sak o baktih toengah, na sah o poe tih, tiah Angraeng hmin hoi oephaih ka tawnh o.
We are persuaded, however, in the Lord, as touching you, —that, what things we give in charge, Ye [both] are doing and will do; —
5 Angraeng mah nangcae ih palungthin to Sithaw amlunghaih hoi Kri palungsawkhaih bangah caeh haih nasoe.
But may, the Lord, guide your hearts into the love of God, and into the endurance of the Christ.
6 Nawkamyanawk, kaicae khae hoi nam tuk o ih khosakhaih baktih toengah khosah ai kami, amsoem ai ah khosah kaminawk khae hoi kamhoe ah na oh o thai hanah, Angraeng Jesu Kri ih ahmin hoiah kang pacae o.
Howbeit, we charge you, brethren, —that, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, ye be withdrawing yourselves from every brother—who, in a disorderly way, doth walk, and not according to the instruction which ye received from us.
7 Kaicae khosakhaih dan kawbangmaw pazui han, tito na panoek o, kaicae loe nangcae mik hnukah khet kamcuk ai ah kho ka sah o vai ai:
For, ye yourselves, know, how needful it is to be imitating us, in that we were not disorderly among you,
8 minawk ih buh doeh azom ah ka caa o vai ai; nangcae khaeah kaom mi kawbaktih doeh hmuenzit ka phawh o sak han ai ah, aqum athun karai tok to ka sak o:
Nor, as a free-gift, did eat, bread, from anyone, but, with toil and hardship, night and day, working, —that we might not burden any of you; —
Not because we have not authority, but that, ourselves, as an ensample, we might hold forth unto you, —to the end ye might he imitating us.
10 Nangcae khae ka oh o naah, hae lok hae kang thuih o boeh, toksak koeh ai kami loe buh caa hmah nasoe.
For, even when we were with you, this, were we giving in charge unto you, —that, if any will not work, neither let him eat!
11 Nangcae khaeah khet kamcuk ah khosah ai kami, minawk raihaih paek thoemto kaminawk oh o ti, tiah ka thaih o.
We hear, in fact, of some who are walking among you in a disorderly way, at nothing, working, yet too busily working!
12 To kaminawk loe lok angaekhaih om ai ah tok a sak o moe, angmacae ih buh to caak o hanah, Angraeng Jesu Kri rang hoiah thapaekhaih lok ka thuih pae o.
Now, such as these, we charge and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, —that, with quietness, working, their own bread, they be eating.
13 Toe nawkamyanawk, kahoih hmuen sak han hmawt o hmah.
But, ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing; —
14 Hae capat thungah tarik ih lok tapom ai kami loe, to kami to panoek oh loe, anih azat thai hanah, anih hoi angkom o hmah.
And, if anyone be not giving ear unto our word through means of this letter, on this one, set a mark—not to be mixing yourselves up with him, —that he may be reproved;
15 Toe anih to misa baktiah poek o hmah, amnawkamya baktiah thuitaek oh.
And, not as an enemy, be esteeming him, but be admonishing him, as a brother.
16 Angdaehhaih Angraeng angmah roe mah, hmuen boih pongah dungzan monghaih na paek o nasoe. Nangcae boih khaeah Angraeng om nasoe.
But may, the Lord of peace himself, give you peace, always, in every way. The Lord, be with you all.
17 Hae ban sinhaih ca loe capat boih thungah angmathaih capat maeto ah oh pongah, kai Pawl mah kaimah ih ban hoi roe ni ka tarik.
The salutation of Paul—with my own hand, which is a sign in every letter: thus, I write.
18 Aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri tahmenhaih nangcae boih nuiah om nasoe.
The favour of our Lord Jesus Christ, be with you all.
