To the Thessalonian church in union with God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, From Paul, Silas, and Timothy.
2 aicae Ampa Sithaw hoi Angraeng Jesu Kri khae hoi ih tahmenhaih hoi monghaih nangcae khaeah om nasoe.
May God, the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace.
3 Nawkamyanawk, nangcae tanghaih qoeng tahang aep moe, maeto hoi maeto amlunghaih bangah na pung o tahang pongah, Sithaw khaeah anghoehaih lawk kang thuih pae o toepsoep han oh, ka thuih o han roe oh;
Friends, it is our duty always to thank God about you, as is but right, considering the wonderful growth of your faith, and because, without exception, your love for one another is continually increasing.
4 nangcae loe pacaekthlaekhaih hoi raihaih to na tong o, toe tanghaih hoi pauephaih to na tawnh o pongah, Sithaw kricaabunawk salakah nangcae to kam oek o haih:
So much is this the case that we ourselves speak with pride, before the churches of God, of the patience and faith which you have shown, in spite of all the persecutions and troubles that you are enduring.

These persecutions will vindicate the justice of God’s judgment, and will result in your being reckoned worthy of God’s kingdom, for the sake of which you are now suffering;
6 nangcae raihaih paek kaminawk lu lak hanah Sithaw mah katoeng ah lokcaek tih;
since God deems it just to inflict suffering on those who are now inflicting suffering on you,
7 thacak angmah ih van kaminawk hoi nawnto van hoiah Angraeng Jesu amtueng naah, nangcae raihaih tong kaminawk loe kaicae hoi nawnto anghak tih boeh,
and to give relief to you who are suffering, as well as to us, at the appearing of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire.
8 Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk hoi aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri ih tamthanglok hoih tahngai ai kaminawk loe hmai kamngaeh hoiah lu la tih:
Then he will inflict punishment on those who refuse to know God, and on those who turn a deaf ear to the good news of Jesus, our Lord.
9 lensawk a thacakhaih hoiah nihcae to Angraeng hmaa hoiah tapraek ueloe, dungzan amrohaih hoiah danpaek tih; (aiōnios g166)
They will pay the penalty of unutterable ruin – banished from the presence of the Lord and from the glorious manifestation of his might, (aiōnios g166)
10 Anih angzoh na niah loe, angmah ih kaciim kaminawk mah Anih to saphaw o ueloe, (nangcae khaeah ka thuih o ih lok to na tang o pongah) tangcaanawk boih mah pakoeh o tih.
when he comes to be honoured in his people, and to be revered in all who have learned to believe in him (for you also believed our testimony) – as he will be on that day.
11 Anih mah kawk ih kami hoi kamcuk ah kho na sak o thai hanah, nangcae han lawk kang thuih pae o toepsoep; na tang o haih rang hoiah kahoih hmuennawk boih koep ah na sak o thai hanah, anih mah thacakhaih to na paek o tih.
With this in view, our constant prayer for you is that our God may count you worthy of the call that you have received, and by his power make perfect your delight in all goodness and the efforts that have resulted from your faith.
12 To naah aicae Ampa Sithaw hoi Angraeng Jesu Kri tahmenhaih baktih toengah, nangcae mah aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri ih ahmin to na pakoeh o thaih ueloe, nangcae doeh Anih rang hoiah pakoeh ah na om o tih boeh.
Then, in the loving kindness of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ, will the name of Jesus, our Lord, be honoured in you, and you in him.
