< 1 Timote 6 >

1 Sithaw lok amtukhaih hoi Angmah ih ahmin kasaethuihaih oh han ai ah, nihcae ukkung angraeng loe khingya paek han krak, tiah tamnanawk boih mah poek o nasoe.
Let, as many as are servants under a yoke, be counting, their own masters, worthy, of all honour, lest, the name of God and the teaching, be defamed.
2 Tamna tawnkung loe kricaa ah om nahaeloe, anih ih tamnanawk doeh Kri ah nawkamya ah oh o pongah, nihcae to khet patoek hmah nasoe; nihcae loe palung koi kaom oepthok na toksah kami ah oh o pongah, nihcae to na bomh aep han oh; hae loknawk hae patuk ah loe, thapaek ah.
They, however, that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are, brethren but, the more, be doing them service, because, believing and beloved, are they who, from the good workmanship, receive advantage. These things, be teaching, and exhorting: —
3 Mi kawbaktih doeh aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri mah patuk ih Sithaw ah hinghaih lok baktih na ai, anih mah thuih ih lok baktih doeh na ai ah, kalah loknawk patuk kami loe,
If anyone doth otherwise teach, and doth not adhere to healthful discourses—those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the teaching that is, according to godliness,
4 amoek kami, tidoeh panoek ai kami, angaek koeh pongah lokdueng kami, uthaih tawn kami, angzoeh koeh kami, minawk kasae thui kami, kahoih ai hmuen sak han poek kami,
He is beclouded, knowing, nothing, rightly, but is diseased about questionings, and word-battles—out of which spring envy, strife, defamations, wicked surmising,
5 lokpung koeh kami, poeksae tawn kami, loktang lok angqoi taak kami, amekhaih hnuk hanah Sithaw toksah kami ah ni oh o: to baktih kaminawk to ayae ah.
incessant quarrellings of men wholly corrupt in their mind and bereft of the truth, —supposing godliness to be, a means of gain!
6 Na tawnh ih hmuen hoiah poek mong ah, Sithaw khaeah angpaekhaih loe kalen parai atho hak han koi oh.
Now it is a great means of gain—godliness, with a sufficiency of one’s own;
7 Hae long nuiah tih hmuen doeh a sin o ai baktih toengah, a caeh o naah tih hmuen doeh a sin o thai mak ai, tito amtueng.
For, nothing, brought we into the world, neither, to take anything out, are we able; —
8 To pongah a tawnh o ih caaknaek hoi khukbuen hoiah poek mong o si.
And, having sustenance and covering, we shall be content;
9 Toe angraeng han koeh kami loe pacuekhaih thungah amtimh o moe, thaang pongah amanh o; amthuhaih thungah tui baktiah uem o moe, amrosak thaih taksa koehhaih thungah krak o.
But, they who are determined to be rich, fall into temptation, and a snare, and many foolish and hurtful covetings, the which, sink men into ruin and destruction, —
10 Phoisa palunghaih loe congca zaehaih takungpui ah oh: thoemto kaminawk loe phoisa koeh o hmoek pongah, tanghaih loklam to caeh o taak moe, angmacae hoi angmacae kanung parai palungsethaih ang paek o.
For, a root of all the vices, is the love of money, which, some, being eager for, have been seduced from the faith, and have pierced, themselves, about with many pangs.
11 Toe nang loe, Sithaw kami ah na oh baktih toengah, to baktih hmuennawk to cawn taak ah; toenghaih, Sithaw koehhaih, tanghaih, amlunghaih, pauephaih, tuinom ohhaihnawk to patom ah.
But, thou, O man of God! from these things, flee! and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, meekness;
12 Tanghaih bang ih kahoih misatukhaih to tuh ah loe, dungzan hinghaih to kacakah patawn ah, to hinghaih hnuk han ih ni nang to ang kawk, hnukung ah kaom paroeai kaminawk hma ah doeh kahoih ah lok na taphong boeh. (aiōnios g166)
Be contesting the noble contest of the faith, —lay hold of the age-abiding life—unto which thou wast called, and didst make the noble confession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 Tih boih hinghaih paekkung, Sithaw hoi Pontia Pilat hma ah kamtueng ah lok taphongkung, Kri Jesu hma ah lok kang paek;
I charge thee, before God, who engendereth life in all things, and Christ Jesus, who, before Pontius Pilate, witnessed the noble confession,
14 aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri amtueng karoek to, hae lokpaekhaih hae coek koi kaom ai, kasaethuih han koi om ai ah pakuem ah,
That thou keep the commandment without spot, free from reproach, until the forthshining of our Lord Jesus Christ—
15 Anih loe angmah ih atue phak naah amtuengsak tih, tahamhoihaih ah kaom, maeto khue Ukkung, siangpahrangnawk ih Siangpahrang, angraengnawk ih Angraeng,
Which, in its own fit times, the happy and only Potentate will shew—the King of them that reign, and Lord of them that wield lordship,
16 kadueh thai ai, mi doeh a taengah caeh thai ai aanghaih thungah kaom loe Anih khue ni; Anih loe mi mah doeh hnu vai ai, hnu doeh hnu thai ai: Anih khaeah pakoehhaih hoi thacakhaih to dungzan hoi dungzan khoek to om nasoe. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
Who alone hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable, —Whom no man hath seen—nor can see: unto whom, be honour and might age-abiding. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Hae long angraengnawk loe amoek o han om ai, kacak ai hmuennawk nuiah doeh amha o han om ai, toe anghoehaih tawnh hanah hmuennawk boih pop ah paekkung, kahing Sithaw nuiah amha o thai hanah thuitaek ah. (aiōn g165)
Upon them who are rich in the present age, lay thou charge—not to be high-minded, nor to have set their hope on, riches’, uncertainty, —but on God, who offereth us all things richly for enjoying, (aiōn g165)
18 Nihcae loe a sak o thai tawk, kahoih hmuen to a sak o han oh, kavawt kaminawk han hmuenmae a paek o moe, maeto hoi maeto angbomh koehhaih palungthin a tawnh o thai han,
To be doing good, to be rich in noble works, to be, generous in giving, ready for fellowship, —
19 dungzan hinghaih to a patawnh o poe moe, angzo han koi atue ah angmacae hmuen patunghaih ahmuen kacak a sak o thai hanah thuitaek ah.
Treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold on the life [which is life] indeed.
20 Aw Timote, Sithaw mah ang paek ih hmuen to pakuem ah, Sithaw zithaih tawn ai ah thuih rumram ih loknawk, thoemto kaminawk mah palunghahaih, tiah thuih o ih, long palunghahaih hoiah lok angaek koeh kaminawk to ayae ah:
O Timothy! that which hath been entrusted, do thou guard, avoiding the profane pratings and oppositions of falsely named knowledge, —
21 thoemto kaminawk mah to palunghahaih to tapom o pongah, tanghaih loklam hoiah amkhraeng o ving boeh. Nang khaeah tahmenhaih om nasoe. Amen.
Which, some professing, concerning the faith, have missed the mark! Favour be with you.
